I really enjoyed the Familiar! I feel like it maybe needed to be 80 pages longer, or be a duology. I LOVE Bardugo’s character work, and the relationship between Luzia, Valentina & Luzia’s aunt, Hualit (none of that is a spoiler for anyone reading this!) is so entertaining and compelling!
The past few videos your hair color has really stood out, it's so flattering with your skin tone.

I completely agree with you about the ending of The Familiar. It ended up bringing down my reading experience because it felt very rushed in the last 15% or so of the book, but the atmosphere and historical aspects were amazing.
I definitely enjoyed it. It's a solid read. But it just didn't hit like I thought it was going to. Can't put my finger on why :(

I loved this book! Her relationship with her aunt is so complex and it hurt to see their ending 💔
I did like this but I think I would have enjoyed the book more if I hadn't known that it was written by Leigh Bardugo. My expectations were SO high because Six Of Crows is my favorite book
So lucky you're going to Japan. I went years and years ago, and want to go back so bad. I am a Japan nerd.
I know it's fiction but as a Spaniard I'm pretty intrigued about the historical documentation Leigh did! High hopes as always with her books.

It fell a little flat for me and kind of left me wanting more. I had the feeling it was building up to something that we didn’t really see. I wanted to see more of Luzia’s power, see her go all out, but that wasn’t shown to us.
I keep looking for your vlog on the last Fitz and the Fool book... maybe you are working your way through it slowly?

I enjoyed it but felt like something was missing it :( like the plot didn't get going until over 60% and I was left wanting more. Great vlog !
Just bought the Familiar, not sure if I should read it first and then watch this video
I would because even though it's non-spoiler, there is a lot of information about the book and the characters. If I haven't read the books yet I usually fast forward through some of it just because I like going into my books not knowing much. Then after I read the book I'll go back and watch the whole thing.
I was so on the fence about this book as I disliked the majority of the Shadow and Bone series she wrote outside of Six of crows. But now I really want to try it. Thanks!
