I love the riyria revoulations!! That second bind up (rise of empire) might be my favorite in the series, but there no doubt that the conclusion is just ✨perfect✨
The only set I havnt read is the rise and fall trilogy, I really want to get to it soon!! (And the chronicle books… but I stared my journey and Elan with Hadrian and Royce and that’s how I’ll end it, so I’m waiting to finish the rise and fall first lol)

@@insanebutterfly3439 I have! That’s how I’ve consumed them so far. I think the narrator does a fantastic job. :) just want some physicals cuz I like them so much. They’re a comfort read for me
@@insanebutterfly3439 I’m actually reading them that way! I prefer the audiobooks too haha. I started with the audiobooks cause the first 4 are on the Audible catalog and then I switched to ebook but I missed the narrator too much.

I always think State of wonder isn't my favourite Ann patchett but when I think back, it's the one that replays in my mind the most. You'll never forget it. The jungle lives rent free in my head. Or perhaps I live rent free in that jungle in my head 🤔

I winced when I saw that the first book was Faebound : I just Dnfed 40% in. It just wasn't good at all IMO. I hope that The Final Strife is way better because it is on my TBR too.
I am so excited for The Warm Hands of Ghost ! I've read a preview of it and was so into it. I was born and raised in the Somme so WWI stories are very impactful for me.
I'm currently reading faebond and I don't like the older sister at all so it takes me forever to get through her chapters

It's just that I'm a student, and I know next academic year my schedule won't allow me to to work, even part time, so the goal is to save as much as possible this year (year 1), so that jobless year (year 2) goes by as painlessly as possible.
Besides, the longer the book buying ban, the bigger the haul🤣🤣 (I shouldn't be encouraging myself this way)
I guess my local amazon reseller is gonna have some competition now, since none of the good books will make onto the floor.
Oof goodwill online is not the way to go unfortunately.. this is their way to make bigger profits and out of their stores in the lower price range. Goodwill’s gatekeeping. Hope to see better sponsorships in the future ❤

Goodwill books should not exist, low income people shouldn’t have a place to go online to buy new books for between 7-10ish dollars and that money should absolutely not be pumped back into the communities goodwillbooks service and we should absolutely just ignore all the donated books that don’t sell and end up in landfill. Please do not partner with goodwill. They pay their employees minimum wage while the ceo makes millions. Their “job services” are offered by other better originations. They are all. About money
Each Goodwill is actually a separate company. Do you know which Goodwill you are talking about?
They all follow the same protocols. However the ones on the west coast are significantly worse in terms of greed.
I appreciate where you're coming from with this comment (you're clearly a very kind and sympathetic person!), but please keep in mind that, just because someone is making minimum wage, does not mean they are being taken advantage of or abused by their employer. Minimum wage is a legal wage. Also, a CEO should make significantly more than their employees: the risks, stress, and overall standards/qualifications are often significantly higher for such a position. Running an entire organization isn't easy, and someone's not inherently a "bad guy" just because they make millions.
You can say that about 99% of big companies, corporate-like companies... Meanwhile, small businesses or family run businesses will not sponsor a youtuber, nor the youtuber will want to be sponsored by them. There are not enough resources/public acknowledgement. (there are exceptions, I suppose). I have heard this being said about other large companies, right here on YT. But it's just how things are.
I worked at a goodwill for a short time and we threw away so many of the donations. It was also not a good work environment.
