There is one rune you can now just buy from the quest giver in Ratchet instead of doing that tedious questline.
On wowhead there is a new rune vendor for phase 2 runes, dont know anymore then that for catching up
The rune system is trash. It was cool when there wasn't many to gather, but leveling a fresh toon now? Hell no.

Yup the rune system is too annoying to lvl from 1-60 in Phase 4. They should add a rune vendor have the runes cost gold.
5:15 exactly why it's doomed to continue dropping numbers. You said it best in another video. gonna have a huge 3 weeks then quickly dwindle.
The vanilla process was already tedious, now you have these multi-hour mandatory runes to obtain while NO ONE ELSE is working on them anymore. The rider's rune alone will be painful for so many people that are even close to 'average' solo ability
The content can be amazing; if it's a brick wall to progress (or meaningless like retail) to current content then you hit the 'all blizzard games' problem. People just don't wanna do that.
A few of the best runes require multiple people to unlock. This is not solo friendly since there are barely any folks leveling new toons after phase 1.
You don't have to do the runes they never existed in vanilla if they are so tedious

Honestly just having a blast playing whitemane on classic era. Seems the pop is pumping, GDKPs are still aids but catching an SRx2 whenever I can. Can’t beat the classic.
I’m excited for phase 4. People are down on SoD but I think the changes have been great.
Just put in rune vendors. Make them 10 or 20g each even 50g for alternative way of getting them.
Needing all buffs and consumes to parse made me stop raiding.
Agree on heat levels. I hope it’s just about getting fire resist gear and not more mechanics and more health
@18:46 - 'In Order to play my character effectively'. This IS NOT and SHOULD NOT be a sentence that is ever uttered about an RPG. At it's core WoW Vanilla and SOD is an RPG. The entire sentiment espoused by that sentence is the antithesis of a good RPG.

You havnt played Gentle relocation to happy fun camp yet? It's amazing. You just go around handing candy bars to people wearing really small hats and they just kind of follow you to camp. You wanna get em all in the camp so you can get more candy cosmetics.

lol im gonna play cata and sod but you must be just talking shit to talk shit. do you even know what next phase is gonna be for cata? you really think that ppl are gonna stay and play maybe the worst phase of all time. ill be on for lvling here and there maybe some heroics but thats it. sod is gonna be taking over while cata dies for al lil bit till phase 3 when firelands opens up.

@@keganjensen2605 ok if not the worst one of worst ppl are calling phase 1.5. yea have fun doing harder heroics that ur gonna get stuck doing bc its in random que unless they change it but idn and it only drops 353 gear or 354 so its gonna pretty much be the same as phase1 same raids. like i said ill be playing but at that point before firelands comes out cata is gonna be low on pop and there aint a lot to do so why not play sod or retail no point going hard in cata next phase. if next phase that only has 2 heroic dungeons coming out is not the worst that was is in your imo since ur opinion is soooo relevant.
@@justinsimpson2146 I never said my opinion was relevant opinions are subjective. If I’m being honest I misread your comment I thought you were talking about phase 1 so that’s my bad. There’s been some bad patches over the years. WoD had like 2 major patches. Patch 9.1 in shadow lands was pretty bad I’d have to look up and see but the Zul Aman/gurub patch might be one of the smallest patches ever but a lot of people do really enjoy those dungeons. I wouldn’t worry too much about cata dying though, firelands comes out in October so probably in a little over 3 months. The new dungeons can hold us over until then and lots of people are progressing through heroic raids.

it's not even about how expensive and how much time it takes to get the dungeon sets and to upgrade them.. more it's about how NOBODY will be happy that they have to do it again for all their alts
World buffs are kinda dumb IMO. I mean the buffs themselves are powerful but getting several different buffs is not a fun way to spend your time

Most of the people have ST gear no? up until know preview last raid gear was still good for next raid.. no?
that's probably not going to be the case. unless they tuned the normal versions for that. A big part of this chunk is supposed to be gathering pre bis from the instances. so i think your ST gear is just going to make you beefy enough for blackrock

I don't believe the 0.5 set will be that important and that we will be replacing it relatively fast by just running the raid. It's my belief that you really do not want to spend a lot of your time and gold to accomplish getting the full set and upgrading it just to go to the raid and replace it. Just as the .5 set was buffed so will t1, t2, and zg gear pieces. They should be better by nature. Depending on your class, it may be worthwhile to get certain pieces of the t0.5 but possibly not the full set. If you have got all your new runes, recipes/patterns, mount, reps and other things and still have time then it may be worth going for but to prioritize something that will not last is not a good idea.
Thats how its been but they seem to have realized that P2 and P3 were bad because of that. Prebis gearing is the best part of the game. The T0.5 gear will be substantially better than ST gear
