    Andrew, your reviews are starting to make some of the other reviews look almost shallow! More numbers, more scientific format (thanks for using centigrades in your measurements), all around more indepth evaluation of the laptops. I do like the front facing camera in the 9310, not bad at all. Seriously thinking about buying this one....hmmm....thank you, Andrew, great video!

    The only way I upgrade from my XPS 13 9300 is if Dell drops a Ryzen processor in it. Otherwise, this thing has been rock solid so far. Love the reviews, Andrew!

    Hey, Andrew. I like the upgrade in the graphics performance from the Xe Graphics we see here. That build design is really sleek in the XPS line, and Dell does offer some of the top displays on their premium lineup. Dell does work to tune their units for maximum performance, but I worry a bit about their software implementations and longevity, as I've seen a few people complaining of blue screens after about 6 months of use because of update incompatibilities. The camera is a potato like most other laptops. Long-term, though, I'm curious as to how the Superfin architecture will hold up when ranked against Zen 2 and the upcoming Zen 3. Thanks for another truly well done review.

      Problem is Dell is being paid a shit ton of money to keep using Intel so unless the demand for AMD chips isn't sky-rocketing by Dell consumers, we're gonna have to keep waiting.

    • @PWingert1966
      @PWingert1966 Před 3 lety +1

      @@baranie1809 It's more likely that they have an ironclad ten-year contrast that excludes any other manufacturer. That is keeping them using the intel chips. So I wouldn't expect a Ryzen based laptop for several years yet. Intel doesn't have to pay them. they just threaten to cut their supply of all intel chips (servers and PC's and laptop off)

    I have the older XPS 13 9370 and it has held up well except the white ceramic color has started to slightly yellow after three years. Also, the support assist tool stopped providing updates in the app after two years and now refers you to the Dell support website. I can use the Dell update utility as a solo app to do updates since I hate having to track updates manually. I have twenty laptops in the house and manually tracking updates is silly. Some reviews indicate that recent video driver updates make a significant difference in Xe graphics performance in gaming. Its gone from stutter in a fortnight to smooth enough to play.

I was right as in your review here I could see the keys quite clearly. As always another great review. Again congratulations on your CZcams 100 K plack. All they have to do is put a couple of ports on the side of it and have it open up and put a keyboard and display on it and you would have the first "CZcams PC". Anyway just kidding.

This is late 2020, that really is not acceptable, how many are they really selling at that level? The ports seem very poor, need far more flexibility. Dell and other manufacturers need to give the choice between Intel and AMD Ryzen. For people in their 50 plus, gaming is not important, at all. @@pnp072000 trust me Bro. There's a huge difference between 4k and fhd even on 13.3 display. I compared one of my frnds xps 4k variant with mine. There's definitely a lot of difference, everything looks Sharp and smooth on 4k. Fhd kina looks pixelated

    J.u.n.k. I just return one yesterday - $1897 XPS 13" 2-1 9310. Right out of the box, RGB color flashes across the display. Goes to sleep and gives you a black screen, whilst in use. Doesn't wake up from sleep, and after updating all drivers and software strange and sporadic character strings across the display. I will NOT be buying another Dell, their QC is substandard. Buyer beware, most of these reviews will blow smoke up your arse.

      @@andrewmarcdavid sir, I did but it seems there is a lot new functionality wrt TB4 especially expansion of ports for thin and light, that was not covered. TB4 i think makes it standout and gives us an early glimpse of this tech in this laptop. I was hoping you would cover it in detail and how it performs with current available expansions be it storage/egpu/display/N x TB3 etc

    It's really not impressive. It's expensive, doesn't offer a pen and there's practically no ports. There are much better options out there.

      @Antonio Zamudio laptops can also use pens. Not just tablets.
      See for example the great Lenovo Flex 5.
