- This is STRANDHEIM, a Valheim challenge series where I playthrough the game on HARDCORE mode: EVERY MOB is BUFFED so much it would make a lox squeal. But that's ONLY THE START; I have also PERMANENTLY REMOVED the MAP so I have to navigate solely using the sun, landmarks and the great World Tree Ygdrasil. TO MAKE IT EVEN HARDER, I can also ONLY LIVE on the WATER, using a raft mod called ValheimRaft.
This is going to be HARD. This is going to be FUN. This is STRANDHEIM.

With such an outstanding mod (Raft) I'm amazed you're the only one I could find that actually shows how to build. Plenty of show off videos but nothing explaining.

You think? How long would you prefer? Thanks for the advice :) the reason I made it short was that the average view duration on most my vids is like 5 minutes, and these videos take a about 12-15 hours to edit, like this was 1:20 long and I edited it down to just the interesting parts, but I can maybe be a little less hard on the editing next time :)

I'd like to see 30 minute videos, but since they take that long to edit, and average view is five minutes, I'll leave the length up to you.

@@JellyJamBoyGaming ideally you have the let's play and the edited/highlight one. Maybe a full length (let's play), 7 - 12 min highlight vids, and 2-3 shorts of intense moments. Might be best way to diversify what people are looking for, of course, significantly more work.
@@trentntb5437 thanks for taking the time to come up with this. The classic unedited let’s play is heavily saturated in YT, I feel if I put up 40 min vids of v lightly edited gameplay nobody would watch, but maybe I’m wrong! I decided to heavily edit my vids to about 10-15 mins cuz they were getting much better views, though I must admit still lower than I’d hope tbh given the amount of hours I put into my latest videos (it’s embarrassingly long 😂). Shorts are a fantastic idea, but I’ve noticed the only shorts that work are ones that are 15 secs or less. If you instead mean a short style video edit of a specific scenario that lasts 2-3 minutes instead, that’s actually a great idea that I’ll think about, it means I could also reuse some previous footage cuz I’ve got lots! Thanks so much for the advice i really appreciate any input 🙏🏻

Yes dude this is the idea! Strandheim! No compass or nothin. Gonna use the sun, the stars and the great tree to guide me! If it gets too hard i might consider adding a compass but I should be good for the start!

Thanks! Yeah Pretty much! I just added Dual Wield and also set it to no map! Strandheim is just the name of the series :)
Is it possible to keep all the mods except the no map? The enemies look awesome, but Ill definitely lose my boat
Yes! Nomap is a feature you can turn on and off by entering nomap into the f5 console in game! The mod you’re interested in is called Creature Level and Loot Control, you’ll have to find a hood config for it online! The modpack in these episodes is unfortunately broken so you can’t play the exact same setup :(
How are you able to place the campfire on the wood floor?
The raft mod allows it! Still can’t place a fire on wood on land though :)

Look up a modpack called darkheim by timo redbeard on Google, you’ll get the mod list there. Core mods are raft, CLLC and a bunch of QOL mods

How long would you like the eps to be? :) this ep was actually an hour and 20 mins long but I edited it down HARD cuz the average view duration of my videos are around 5 minutes, which is pretty short. Glad you want to see more though!!

My dude I’m sorry to tell you that this modpack is broken af as of right now 😢 BUT a good alternative is to get the epic Valheim modpack and add the Valheim raft mod as well!
