how do you feed the pet which is spanwd via berries ? it shows (hungry)
I just tossed the berries on the ground in front of it and it eventually ate.
By set up a world spawn, do you mean it is possible to set these mounts to spawn in certain areas? For example the glowy wolf could randomly spawn in the Mistlands, and the deer in the meadows? The only thing thats been putting me off adding this to our server is the mounts seem too easy to get. Theres no risk reward system to get cool mounts if all it takes is some early game fruit. They do look amazing though
I'm not too familiar with spawners, but it seems like that could be an option. You can always add a global key like "killedYagluth" to prevent the mounts too early. You could also change the crafting costs to any prefab in the game or another mod.
I would recommend going through the actual config file. The in game config manager drops to 2 fps for me when I access this one.
Absolutely! The config allows you to configure spawns, drops, recipes, everything to allow you to play exactly how you want!
I tried it. I removed all the crafting option and set up a world spawn with custom config, tried to make them like wild animals that can rarely be found and can be tamed. However still a lot problem. No matter how low you set the spawn chance, a wild one will always be there near you (probably because they don’t despawn like vanilla mobs) and can be really dangerous to the beginner characters. And I’m not quite happying with the animals AI, for example because the star wolves are so cool I wanna make them fight along side with me. However they usually make one attack to the mobs and just running around like frightened puppies doing nothing, while the vanilla wolves are much better fighters.
So overall, it’s a good mount mod if you just wanna have cool and convenient pocket mounts. But if you want a immersive magical wild animal searching, taming experience, it is probably not what you are looking for
my advice to the mod is:
1, allow an option to make wild variants despawn like vanilla mobs/aniamls
2, make some change to the ai of wild variants, for example, of course horses and deers can be easily frightened and won't help much with your fight, but for wolves, plz make a different ai, similar vanilla wolves would be enough
hey so did they change the method of crafting the summons? I cant find them as a recipe and i have a tier 4 workbench

@@Ruijven-1 yes I actually found through the discord that the spawnable mounts are crafted at Level 3 Galdr table, even though the mod post says lvl 3 workbench instead
i cant seem to summon a wild raven any idea why?
@N0stalgia01 I don't think ravens occur in the wild for this one. Looking at the Prefabs on CookieMilk's website, the only wild creatures are horses, deer, wolves, wolf cubs, and the undead horses. Looks like you will need to craft the raven.

I have a problem and it is that the speed of the flyers is extremely high that I even leave the map, any solution?
I've not heard of that one yet. So you pretty much fly so fast that you can cross the whole map in a few seconds?

looking for a horse mount that can jump, but the mounts in vanilla cant jump I believe, so I guess it's not quite feasible
The only mount I know that can run and jump is Ygg's DragonRiders.

@@Ruijven-1 With the horse it works just as I hoped and sems "optimized" (doesn't slow the game too much if at all)
I cant seem to craft any at all regardless of crafting station level or components?

@@DiscoverRealityy Hmm, a common issue with many mods is that you may need to pick up certain items to "discover" the recipe, even if you've already touched it before.
Let me know if that works. If not, I recommend hitting up the discord and asking there.

does it matter at all if the mount is hungry?
I think the food tames and heals them, but I don't think they can procreate. So not really, unless you need to heal it.

Mounts duplicate when you disconnect or server lags and kicks you off.. also when someone mounts the duplicated wolf you can’t dismount unless someone kills it. We have duplicated crows flying underground we can seem to locate and kill which is lagging our base so much. When we move together you sometimes we don’t see each others mounts, other players are mounted moving around with an invisible mount and looks stupid. I think I’ll just stick with marlthons wolf. It’s simple and better.

The rogue crows is really strange - I didn't see a wild version available.
@@Ruijven-1it’s not a wild version… it’s the normal mount you spawn that duplicates when you disconnected while mounted or get disconnected if server lags while mounted. You should try it on a server with someone summon a mount monster(not wild) and while mounted go disconnect while another player is beside you. Youll see what I mean. The mount is suppose to be gone since it’s a summon mount not wild but no it stays and the other player can also mount it and gets stuck in it. We can keep repeating the process and make multiple of any of these summoned mounts. 😂

@@Ruijven-1you don’t necessarily need to wait for disconnect. You can straight up logout while mounted in front of a player and the mount stays which people on our server kept doing to amass an army of magical mounts 😂 it’s hilarious and a shitshow

But what if I just want a saddle for the vanilla mobs like wolf and boar. I miss mount up 😥 don't get me wrong this is super cool and appreciate all the work that must've gone into this project

How is the crafting supposed to work?? You can't have 500 berries for a simple horse in your inventory. Wtf?
I think you can change the crafting requirements in the config file. Give it a shot and let me know!
The only things I dislike about this mod is that trying to set up wild spawns is a mess. I want these creatures to be a rare find in the world, not some crafted beast but they just insta appear. That just feels meh. And their AI is very durpy.
I haven't tried to set up wild spawns for them. My favorites were the ones that must be crafted. Modding this is no easy task. There are other mods available for mounts you can tame, if that is more your style.
@@Ruijven-1 I would love to see the dragons as a stand alone that is wild spawns. Each color could be a rare version in their own biomes. I just enjoy the hunt and challenge vs just being handed something.

Is the horse summoned like the spell or tamed? Usually the E key does it for me
@@Ruijven-1 I learned much later that it was the f10 key for the summon ones. I saw it while examining the config file because I couldn't get out of it while testing.
@@froosty596 That's right - I forgot the mod has it's own mount/dismount key. Glad you figured it out!
This mod looks good visually but is shit. Would not recommend this to anyone running server. It caused lots of issue on my server. Monsters duplicating and lagging issues. 2 out of 10
Thanks for watching! I'm curious - Have you tried the most recent update? When you mention monsters duplicating, that would certainly cause lagging issues. Did you have the creatures spawning automatically?
I'm sorry you've had a bad experience but what you're describing is a mod conflict. The creatures cannot spawn on their own and does not duplicate as they don't breed.
