Remember don't donate to any global humanitarian companies such as red cross, amnesty international and whatnot.
They take a huge share of donations for their own needs and there are even times that no money makes it to the cause.
The actual first place to go is u24.gov.ua/ this is United24
It is a platform presented by president Zelensky.
Secondly you might choose some volunteers that are helping Ukraine in various areas.

Hi Georgijs! Thank you very much for your two excellent updates! IMHO, they are quite appropriate at this time of the year, because much of 'the West' has been celebrating Easter or Passover....bothof which are iconic times of the year representing are important stories about the triumph of Good over Evil !
1. BTW & FWIW, I think that one of the tactical reasons for Russia staging such a large, suicidal attack of MBTs & IFVs is as follows:
(a) Attacks with massed Russian armour will seriously challenge AFU defences & force the Ukrainians to use most of their defensive capabilities to stop the significant threat.
(b) Consequently, the Ukrainians will have no choice but to reveal the locations, strengths & capabilities of most of its dug-in defences.
(c) By the time the attack has ended, the Russians will know where to aim their dangerous & highly-destructive glide bombs & their artillery, then attempt a breakthrough.
2. Unfortunately, thanks to Donald Trump & his MAGA-cult sycophant scumbags in Congress, the AFU no longer has the capability to shoot down a ton of Russian jets before the jets close in & release their glide bombs. This means that the Russian tactics I described may have a reasonable chance of causing significant Ukrainian casualties & forcing the Ukrainians to abandon their best defensive positions in the area.

Georgjis, you got Avdiivka’s population numbers wrong a few times. The suburb of Donetsk had only a population of 32,000 pre-war (and held around 1600 after the 2022 invasion). You must have been thinking of Bakhmut as it was 71,000 pre-war…
For many Old school Sovjet fans in russia, Putins political disaster in the Baltic with sweden and Finland joining nato must look very bad
My guess is most of them are convinced that Russia can take over the planet with their nuclear threats. Listen to their media, you'd swear they were a super power capable of world domination in a week.
Vladimir Putin is the greatest NATO asset in decades. If I could vote for him from outside Russia, I might have...

In my point of view, an absolutely objective report of the current military situation in Ukraine. A valuable contribution to switch the negative narrative that Ukraine is loosing the war (mostly driven by pro russian peoples) to a more realistic perspective!

There is also substantial investment in Ukrainian defense industry by companies like Rheinmetall, in addition to European production. They currently have a deal to make a factory that will output 400 new tanks a year by 2026 - twice as much as Russia currently produces, and plans to produce 100s of thousands of shells in the near future within Ukraine. They already finished building a factory that outputs relatively basic equipment like Ukrainian variants of M113, and can be refitted to produce lynx AFVs once the tools are available. If Ukraine does not face catastrophic defeat, in the long them their defensive outputs will grow and overcome Russia's with the help of Europe.

Hello Georgijs. I watched part 1 and now 2 and as always you have help me make sense of what is going on. I know since my country (US) bailed on their obligations things have been very hard. Your report is very different from so many who say "it's so bad, hopeless" or Ukraine will be retreating to Kyiv not salvageable" or something like that. So I appreciate you setting the record straight and Ukraine is by no means defeated or on the run or desperate. So thanks Georgijs and good job!
Slava Ukrayini!
Yeah, I too get weary of every slight Ukrainian setback being blamed on The US. The $60 billion will (is) coming it's just stalled, but I believe 100% that it will get to Ukraine. It's frustrating but not worthy of making 70 percent of the US (Dems and Republicans) the bad guys for interim setbacks.
@@ncacia8 you must be a republican. They are the only and i do mean only ones stopping aide for Ukraine. But reality was never the strong point when it comes to republican thinking. Sure there are some good republicans but the rep party calls them rinos. Great shame on the republican party and its supporters.
@@ncacia8It appears the MAGA Congress wants Ukraine to fail, to make Biden look bad. This won't be resolved until November.
Fortunately Europe has realised they are on their own.
Insightful analysis of Ukrainian warfare.

Based on recent casualty numbers, it would cost Russia more than 2.8 million casualties to advance by 5km along the whole eastern front.
They'd also need 120,000 tanks & 100,000 AFVs.
Ain't going to happen.
how many artillery? 😜
@@bobouzala yeah naa
The fallacy in those calculations is that if Russia would/could attack with millions of soldiers and 100,000 tanks, the defenders would just be overrun and the ratio would be more in Russia's favor.
E.g. for resulting 2.8 million casualties, Russia attacks with 11 million soldiers. How many soldiers does Ukraine send? 300,000? And of those 100,000 Ukrainian casualties? Ratio of 1:28?
So it is a question about the maximum, Russia can send and equip, and the maximum (soldiers, ammo, shells), Ukraine can defend with..
Russia actually can increase the intensity - probably more than Ukraine, but only for a very short time.
Even after Russia used up half of their storage of equipment now (e.g. tanks), the second half has worse quality. The same with elite soldiers.

@@UkraineMatters you can make a video on this report alone with evidence. Remember havana syndrone on us personel, and around the world. well turns out russian unit was using sonic weapons on american personel around the world.
investigation done by The Insider, Der Spegel and 60 minutes.
avdiivka was not a city of 70 thousand, but of seventeen thousands. bakhmut was 70 thousand.
regardless, the mathematical model doesn't hold very well because it depends mostly on how many people shoot at the invaders. but yes, the general point is sound, russia does not have the capacity to take a city that big
I’m also not very fond of this comparison, there are many more variables at play. But I agree too, and therefore I wish that Russia will try to go for Kharkiv 😂

Thanks Georgi for continuing your clear and logical explanations - they really help. I wish Europe would do more and faster, but I am encouraged that they seem to have woken up. Even if the US gets an aid package passed (big "if")- doubt they can be a reliable ally for Ukraine or anyone in their present incarnation. If they come through - great, but too dysfunctional to count on right now.

I'm not a military analyst. But regarding simple numbers and Kharkiv, I remember the Russians took large cities like Kherson and Mariupol with relatively with less casualties. I am pro Ukrainian and wish success for Ukraine. I'm just stating size does not always matter😅
In those two instances Ukraine tactically chose not to put its main resources towards holding Mariupol and Kherson . Kherson ( pop. 200,000+) for example was a walk in the park for Russian forces - they simply entered the city with little resistance. The Russian's anticipated the next city 50 km west - Mykolaiv (400,000+) would also be a breeze to capture on the way to the ultimate prize , Odesa . How wrong Putin's generals were . Mykolaiv , with the largest military garrison in Ukraine held , despite many attempts by the Russians to push through the city or skirt around from the north . And we know the result ; the Battle of Mykolaiv led to Russia retreating back across the Dnipro on the eastern side of Kherson Oblast . Mariupol was essentially isolated and unable to hold , the Ukrainian's fiercely resisted , but couldn't sustain their defence of the city after the long supply corridor was severed . Kharkiv is very well fortified , as is Sumy ... Putin would have to put most of his resources into that fight to achieve some kind of victory - Ukraine is ready .
All the best 🇺🇦
@@shaneb315 good points small or large cities it really depends if it is well supplied and reinforced.

When Russia first invaded over 2 years ago they used around 190,000 soldiers. I stated at that time that they did not have nearly enough soldiers. When Hitler invaded Poland on 9/1/1939, the Nazis had 3.5 million soldiers. Russia would need to get millions of soldiers to defeat Ukraine! Ukraine will WIN! Slava Ukraini 🇺🇦 🇺🇦 🇺🇦

I hope they can remove Mike Johnson from his position in the next few weeks. Then the vote will pass.
As long as they don’t bite the bait he’s dangling in front of them. The aid package he’s proposing is different from the one already cleared by the Senate. That means, after he takes his own sweet time to get it through congress, it will have to go back to Senate. Even then, you can bet your very last dollar on him having something in there that won’t get 60 votes in the Senate, so the whole carnival ride begins over.
They need to stay focused, either sign the discharge or otherwise remove him and get a vote on the Senate’s bill, as already approved.
Not let him distract them with whatever he’s proposing, not take any more two week vacations.
Thank you again. I still write letters and donate monthly to the Brandon Mitchell because i like his work.
Thank you! ❤
They also fought Urban battles in Mariupol, and it took them 4 months to dislodge a heavily outnumbered and undersupplied force while they had total air and fire superiority in a city 1/5th the size of Kharkiv.
Losing Kharkiv would be devastating. And by "losing" I don't mean the color of the map. A city is lost if its inhabitants are forced to flee the war, because at that point the tax base is gone. At that point it's also only a matter of time until the city is destroyed, reducing millions of people's homes and livelihoods to ashes. Another couple of billions in damages and historical sites permanently destroyed.
Ukraine can fight around Kharkiv, but it would be a huge loss, long before the territory is taken by Russia.
Great update as always! Agree with Russia not taking Kyiv but not wholly with kahkiv. That's why they have destroyed most of energy infrastructure, they will just level it. I think it's the start of their "buffer zone" inside Ukraine. They don't want it but will make it uninhabitable. Just my thoughts!
Thanks
Interesting points of view. Thx.
Ty, for your opinions.
I really enjoy your reporting and I’m grateful. But I think you mixed up the pre full scale invasion populations of Bakhmut and Avdiivka.
In January 2022, prior to the invasion, the population of Avdiivka was about 31k according to wiki and Bakhmut was about 73k.
Ukraine should be independent of foreign weapons manufacturers
Hope you are right Georgie, especially about Trump losing the elections. Slava Ukraini!

Personally I would watch the luhansk front. Russia has been building reserves in that area for quite a long time and they need to do something about the attacks on Belgorod
I would guess the next major push , whenever it comes will be to the oskil River and possibly from the north to stop the raids into belgorod. This likely won't work for them but if I was in the russian command then this would be my priority. Pushing to the oskil and taking kupiansk would then free up tons on resources to be used to the south or against the kharkiv border area
