France's Push for Troop Deployment in Ukraine Gains Support From Other NATO States

  • More and more NATO countries are backing French President Macron in his statements about possible troop deployment to Ukraine. According to the Financial Times, for decades Central and Eastern Europe has been sceptical of Paris because of its disregard for the region's security interests. Now, however, France is increasingly competing with Germany for leadership in Europe and assistance to Ukraine. Thus, the country has announced a new military aid package. What will this aid include and how France continues to promote the topic of deploying foreign troops in Ukraine - watch in our news story.

On the economic aspects of war. There is an article that says it more in line with how it is. China and Russia, along with some lesser players on that side off the global fence (Iran, North Korea, Myanmar, Kazakhstan, etc.) are building what are decisively war oriented economies. Particularly as to how they are controlling and building up their strategic, war related, industries. There can be no doubt that both are looking to a future that includes major conflict as a key element that drives economic planning and economic development (growth). That is very very very bad news. It means the risks of a world war are growing steadily larger with no indications that the major players on the other side of the fence, dominated by Russia and China, are considering pulling back or changing their plans in terms of what certainly can lead to that worst possible case brink of global conflict. What is also noteworthy is that nations hell bent on that type of path, to that type of future, do not really care about the quality of the environment, the impact of human activity on climate, or even about how human beings are impacted by all that is involved in setting and maintaining that particular hell bent course into what many, in the West, tend to continue to consider as being the unthinkable future. Of course it all has significance for the war in Ukraine and how that big picture, of increasing global risk, is likely to reflect upon what happens in the particular instance. It makes it much harder for Ukraine and it calls on Ukraine's provident supporters to do much more than they are doing, in a multitude of ways, as well as to become prepared to do much more than tey have planned to or would ever want to do. To become and be more fully prepared than the potential adversary is the best and perhaps the only means of preventing the worst case scenario that could evolve from the steadily deteriorating global situation. Short of major regime changes we do not see much light on the distant horizon. These are very dark times and they are being made steadily darker by what is happening in the economies and activities of Russia, China, and their flock of faithful. They fail to see the good that could come from pulling back from a course of escalating contentions and conflicts, and thus the good that would come to the entire world from establishing a lasting and real condition of global peace. The article: "The nominal sizes of Russia and China’s economies are dwarfed by those of the G7 richest countries in the world, but after drilling into their manufacturing power, then the picture that emerges is China is the most powerful manufacturer in the world and Russia is the most productive in Europe. Winning a war is not about how much money you have; it’s about how many bombs and planes you can make, and how fast you can do so..... continued in article." www.intellinews.com/long-read-china-and-russia-the-industrial-production-superpowers-that-could-win-a-war-314926/ Sad, tragic, grim, and to many unthinkable, but the facts are that the world is increasing forced into a condition of extreme polarization, and that Russia China led planning has definite immediate and long term military intentions that are far from being anything peaceful.

Calls for the United Kingdom, a key NATO ally, to test its new laser weapon on the battlefields of Ukraine are growing, as Kyiv struggles to contend with the demands placed on its existing air-defense systems and doubts continue over future Western aid.
The U.K. published de-classified footage of its new laser-directed energy weapon, known as the DragonFire, earlier this week. The British Defense Minister, Grant Shapps, said the brief clip "shows the power of the laser to cut down targets at the speed of light." Source: Newsweek
