  • Ukrainian forces continued counterattacks on Russian positions outside Kharkiv. RFE/RL's Maryan Kushnir followed troops from the early hours of May 10, as they tried to divert Russian forces while other units attacked. The Ukrainians said two Russian tanks and a personnel carrier were destroyed.

"We inflicted damage and retreated" - see, now that's a clever move. People keep complaining about slow progress. But, having minimum casualty and sustained result is more important for UA against much larger enemy. This will also help degrade enemy morale if any left.

And the poor people in the rural areas who didn't have great housing to begin with but lost a habitable place from shelling will need help. The Western world has been working on prefab housing but they've thought surburban. Still, one of the primary concerns was that before 2014 the Ukrainian army suffered from the same issues the Russian Army had bad logistics, corruption, and poor command structure. While I can't say that everything is 100% now their performance speaks for itself. Ukraine has really been the testing ground to see if NATO tactics and weapons really work, and they've proven that not only are NATO weapons effective but that Russian weapons are hilariously ineffective. A lot more long range artillery and MLRS systems would do an even better job. Ukraine is now within artillery range of Belgorod - the largest supply base and gathering point for Russian troops. Shelling Russian troops effectively when they aren't even deployed yet would be a formidable feat, wreaking havoc on their morale early on. Shelling Russian supply depots effectively would disrupt Russian operations all over Ukraine. Also, shelling a place where there are thousands of troops and tons of supplies crammed up in a small area is a lot more effective than hunting down individual tank and infantry units as they attack.

The howitzers the Germans send have a high firing rate - 10 rounds per minute sustained firing rate, 3 rounds in 0.9 seconds burst rate. In just five minutes, ten of those could shoot 500 projectiles - at more than 60 kilometers, with the smartest available munition. That should be able to do some significant damage, I believe - carpet bombing of 5 hectares, or targeted bombing of multiple smaller targets - camps or storage areas.

Stay united and stay strong, until the Russians are pushed back to their own country.

Since Kramatorsk's newly discovered gas deposits last 2010 basically makes Ukraine the second largest gas supplier in Europe. Tapping on that will make Russias gas obsolete, and that my friend is why Russia invaded.
The "Destroy Nazism" part was just a piss poor excuse for justifying the invasion.

This war is an absolute disaster for Russia, they have gone into Ukraine as an occupying force, when the Russians are confronted or attacked they appear not to have any counter offensive strategy. The only seem to either stand there ground and get slaughtered or they simply turn and scatter in all directions. They were on Kyiv’s doorstep and then they simply retreated with enormous human loss and equipment destroyed. How senseless their entire operational strategies are, wasting manpower and munitions on civilian targets is simply stupid and pointless. Ukrainians have proven to be strategic and tough in their response to advances by the blundering Orcs.
