You can't say budget and then mention the 990 pro. It's a 200 dollar ssd for 1 tb. A good budget ssd would be something like the Kioxia excersia or Cruscial P3, which is 1tb for around 60 to 80 usd. Tho they lack a dram cache
What’s interesting is that most big name SSD are just re-branded products. Some Western Digital and Crucial products are just SK Hynix, ADATA, or KIOXIA. Same goes for PSU. EVGA, ASUS, and MSI power supplies are just re-branded SuperFlower units.
The best time to get an SSD was last year. I was able to get a 2TB 980 Pro for $90 via amazon, and a 2TB WD Black SN850X for $89 via their official store. These days, it’s ridiculous to be finding these going for $160 for a 2TB Gen 4 SSD. In my opinion, wait it out if you can. The prices *WILL* go down Also, get either get rid the AI voice, or actually modify the speech to text to enunciate and spell out words. You can make AI voice over imperceptible if you put in the effort. The technology is there. You’re just being lazy.
