I think this is an outstanding interface. Ive had lots of interfaces from Behringer uPhoria (ugh!), Native Instruments and others. This is a million miles better than all of them. Ive paired the mic with the Mackie EM-91C mic which is very sensitive. It means I dont have to turn the gain up more than 40% which is incredible and the volume gain on this unit is great. The best thing is the sound. This sounds brilliant compared to any other unit Ive had. So if gain is important, sound quality and price, this is the unit hands down. I didnt have any install weirdness either. I havent bothered with the free plugins but Ive heard theyre good. I dont need them personally.

I also have an Audient but the iD14, and yeah it has a habit of cutting out and now the headphone jack is shorting. The USB connection drops out frequently. I love Audient when it works but that's not acceptable.

If this isn't my next audio interface it's because I'm waiting on the 4. Including a USB port is genius, don't think it provides enough juice to power an external HD though. The Minifuse 4 will have 2 USB ports. Maschine + S49 keyboard, I need to look up how much power those need to run off bus. Would be awesome if both would work since my laptop only has a few ports, probably wouldn't without them both having AC plugged in, but it would still free up 2 of the 3 ports on my laptop.
Price is great too, I was all set to get an M-Audio Air 192|4 but this looks awesome, thanks for making this video

The price is definitely fantastic. I'm curious if they'll be released here in New Zealand, because we don't seem to have a lot of Arturia products sold here, unfortunately.
I'm also curious about how well it works with macOS and Linux. Probably fine with the former, I would assume, though the latter can be hit or miss.

That extra usb output design needs to be standard for interfaces in 2023! Laptops are are ditching type-A ports and having to use a gazillion converters and hubs is annoying. You can save inputs and directly connect a usb keyboard to the interface which is amazing

Currently, im looking to use it as a DAC for 2 studio monitors. I've been looking at the scarlet solo (3rd gen) and the minifuse 1. I know the scarlet solo 3rd gen does not have an independent control for headphones, and the minifuse does. I believe price wise they are 89.99 for the solo and 99.99 for minifuse 1. Which would be the way to sway if only recording occasionally and mainly using for studio monitors? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

My behringer 204hd degrades the synth sound pretty badly vs how synth sounds from headphones which is crystal clear and when it's routed to the 204hd it's like it's been through some low quality filter. Funny thing is that people are not aware of this, because they never compare the two sounds, as was my experience from forums telling me I am doing something wrong..haha no, it's cheap DAC converter period. But the sound of my voice from microphone sounds fine but I have no other interface to compare but it's satisfactory vs how bad it converts the synth (Korg Krome) sound which is unusable when sounds inside logic DAW are of higher quality, but if audio interface can convert the same quality sound that is in synth then it would be worth it

Julian Krause measured 145mw @ 32ohms vs the scarlett's 20ish, so roughly 8.5 db louder which is almost twice as loud, + the scarlett has really bad distortion measurments. The headphone amp + the price is the big selling point here.
Unfortunately the power doesn't scale aswell at higher input impedances, seems it can provide plenty of current but not enough voltage.

There are several decent choices for "step above entry level" audio interfaces (and the quirky Audient Evo 4 is a mighty nice budget choice) and this is one of them. It's $20 cheaper and a bit longer than the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 3rd generation but it has loopback. The 2i2 is kind of the benchmark so I will compare it to that model. The low end is a hair thinner than the 2i2 but the real screwy thing is the metering. Focusrite got some flak for just having input metering being lighted dials that change color (green, yellow and red) instead of "real" metering as in the Motu M2 (a bit more expensive and bigger than the 2i2 but with loopback and good audio across the board). Arturia offers output metering similar to Motu but the input metering is worse than the 2i2 -- it only flashes red (and with a bit of a delay) when clipping. The green-to-yellow zone is more helpful in maintaining recording levels. Arturia should have gravitated closer to the Motu. Arturia gets some rave reviews but I don't see it as the greatest thing since sliced bread. The cheaper Audient Evo 4 is plastic and quirky but good sound while the somewhat more expensive Motu M2 is low noise, great metering and arguably a better lower end. The 2i2, even in 3rd generation, is getting long in the tooth and maybe Focusrite will incorporate the best of the competition in the update (and then again maybe not). If you can live with the quirks and metering, then this would be a good choice. The preamps are certainly clean enough and it's $50 cheaper than the Motu M2 which recently had a price increase. The cheaper Evo 4 has loopback, clean gain preamps and incremental metering (though learning the red zone is trial and error with the Evo 4) in its plastic body. The 2i2 has the "vintage" air circuitry (which I don't use) and a bit richer sound. With all the flak the 2i2 gets over metering Arturia should have offered what Motu does, not worse than the 2i2. Many people will never use loopback although it's nice to have and Focusrite should have included it in the 2i2 3rd generation. I can't "officially" recommend the Arturia because of the metering. If that's not a problem and you can live with a bit thinner low end then you'll save $20 over the 2i2 by getting this. Certainly competent but not the greatest thing since sliced bread. If you can spend $50 more, get the M2 and don't look back.

Nice comparison review, thanks. Can you say anything about the latency potential for those interfaces? Quality of drivers? In particular, I've always heard that MOTU has spotless Mac drivers but can't seem to get their Windows drivers 100% stable, even on the M series...
