I feel like kissy missy's job would be calming down the kids that had just come out of the game station's games, considering how scary it is even when the huggy's were on strings. she seems like someone i would want to hug if I'm having a panic attack or i just am having a bad day.

Here’s my theory: and they were taking care of the orphans they realize that taking care of a bunch of kids took them a lot of money so they decide that to dispose of the kids but they accidentally killed least pairs son or daughter and when they realized that the toys or being possessed by the children Pierre tried to make more giant toys to bring his daughter back to life but he didn’t realize that poppy who I think it’s his daughter was already alive

Love that lines like "Huh. This guy's shady.. he's killing the kids" is so normal to hear from him now
But if the prototype saves the toys by making them a part of him, why wouldn't Mommy Long Legs want to be saved? Maybe the prototype is keeping them alive when they don't want to be anymore? This was the only thing that struck me as weird honestly.
Maybe she just doesn’t understand what happens.

As others said, either she just doesn't understand, being that there wasn't many he pulled into his body before her, or that she doesn't want to lose he last bit of control over herself.
But i don't think there is much malicious intent or outcome from what he does when he absorbs the toys into him, being that if it was bad, and he wanted to do it anyways, he wouldn't wait until they're dead to do so, that only makes me think that he does it so they don't die.

I think it seems to me that while the Prototype may have initially been in control of the others, over the years, his influence on them has waned, & they've now mostly just gone mad. If 1006 were still in control & needed you for whatever his plans are, Huggy wouldn't have tried to eat you, & Mommy would have just brought Poppy straight to him instead of toying around (haha) with the both of you, trying to kill you, & slaughtering the other toys in rage when they failed to do so. Also, if 1006 were still their overall protector/father figure, she wouldn't have been so terrified of being incorporated into him after her death. I think the Prototype started out just trying to look after the toys left behind in the factory & preventing the same fate from befalling anyone else, but eventually, for some reason or another, they all started losing their minds, becoming feral, or letting their hatred for those who did this to them take them over, & they lashed out against him, becoming the raving monsters left roaming the halls, with the stronger ones feeding on the weaker ones to sustain themselves. 1006 himself may have even started to lose his grip, given that he started cannibalizing the bodies of the other toys into himself, & that could've even been part of what pushed the others away from him. Seeing how far things were spiraling out of hand - & possibly feeling his own mind slipping - the Prototype makes one last desperate play to put things right by reaching out to the last known former employee of Playtime who knew about the experiments in order to have us come back & put an end to the horrors the Bigger Bodies Initiative spawned. But since he can no longer control the others, they either see us as food when they've been starving for years (Huggy), or they only see us as one of their former tormentors, & want revenge (Mommy).

I think the main problem 1006 faces is that, he too is hungry.
And thus he needs to conserve energy.
I also dont think he ever "controlled" the toys. He just influence and guided them, like a normal human would a normal human.
But his ultimate problem is hunger. The same hunfer the toys have.
He may not die from it, but he needs food to sustain himself.
And so, he takes a back seat as much as he can,might even be hibernating at the point we arrive. He does seem much less active than in the age of Project Playtime afterall.
Maybe his letter to us was his last dich effort before falling "asleep". As he refuses to eat his "children" to give him strength and energy.
But when a toy "dies",not only does he finally get food, but he also tries to save them.
So instead of consuming them outright for food, he integrates them.
Thus both giving him strength, and not letting his "children" die.
This would explain why 1006 would become more prominent in chapter 3.
He just goy "food" by consuming/integrating mommy longlegs.
Guys. MatPat should notice you. You would do SO great and these would explain a lot.
I figured this out myself. I suspect Mommy is just vocal about not wanting to be made part of him because she knows that means loss of identity. She used to be human, and even though she lost that she still had the ability to move around freely. Being made a part of 1006 would be permanent, she knew. She'd have no freedom, she'd be just a brain ina meat suit with 1006 using what was left of her as it's own. And maybe she wouldn't even have that as 1006, by tapping into her body would also mean tapping into her brain via the nerves. She'd become a part of him, the greater and more intelligent being.
Hmmm... Imagine if when we face 1006 at the end, and he's just like Glados from Portal 1: one main brain with all these other personalities added to it. Imagine that: 1006 with Mommy's deep violent anger mixed with Huggy's ravenous hunger. A collection of personalities feeding into one mega monster.

Elliot is Henry, the Doctor is Afton, Poppy is Baby...it's uncanny.

IF Matt is right about this theory, again IF!!!!, PLEASE do not change it! This story still slaps and would be 100% beloved if kept on this track.
Please don't change anything about your story just because someone figured out the story. That can easily throw the story off the track and make it lose sense later down the line.

It's awful when they do that. If your audience manages to figure your story it means it was a well planted story, a story that makes sense, a plot-twist or mystery is to enrich the story not to make the author or developer feel superior.

Anyone else like the idea that Poppy is essentially the yin to the prototype's yang. They both want to save everyone still in the factory, it's just two different views on saving them. Poppy wants to eliminate them and 1006 wants to keep them alive, it'll be cool to see the civil war unfold over how to save all the experiments.
Classic father and daughter disagreements
Yeah - I think they are on opposing sides of whatever conflict is happening here, but it’s more nuanced than “1006 hero - Poppy bad”.
My guess is that 1006 is caring for the monsters and keeping them alive while directing them to kill anyone that might try to restart the factory and experiments. If it is Elliot, then he would want to do everything in his power to stop the horrors he witnessed. But between the threat of starvation, the derelict facility, and his use/absorption of toys, their quality of life is near-constant suffering.
I think Poppy wants to restart the experiments, and finish what was started. She tells our character that we’re “too perfect to lose” and seems intent on keeping us in the factory. We also can be respawned like the monsters in Project Playtime, and we know from Mommy (and Ch. 1) that we used to work there…which insinuates that we are also a monster. So maybe we’re the “perfect” version of whatever these experiments were supposed to accomplish, which allows us to live and survive out in the regular world, and Poppy wants to finish the work that created us and save all of the monsters that are living this awful life hidden away in the bowels of an abandoned, evil toy factory…but to do that means restarting the awful experiments…probably on us. And 1006 is against it.

Just to clarify. Poppy was released in the 1950s, and the tragedy Ludwig experienced happened in the 1960s. If the commercial is anything to go by, she was already made out of a person at that point. So Poppy is Ludwig's supposed daughter despite dying years after Poppy's creation?

It would make sense as to why Elliot is 1006. When looking at the png he(matpat) uses you can see bones mixed in with the wires and metal, bones that most clearly resemble the forearm of a human. Though without all the rest of the info that he added in I’m sure it would just be seen as any old bones, possibly from an orphan which was the original theory for most

I love how the blue button in the buttons game at the beginning of the video is a hint to style theory.
Do you suppose that some of the monsters, like Boxy Boo, felt guilty as well about being forced to kill employees trying to stop the experiments to silence them, and that's why the death screens are there? Like, they say 'get up', 'more lives are at stake than just yours', and 'this isn't about you'. Maybe it's their way of explaining how they didn't mean to kill you, that they have goals which don't involve killing you.

Okay, heres just a little thing I thought of, what if the player is a toy themself? Think about it, we can’t pick up anything a human can without the grab pack and we seem very small if we go over to something human sized.
If you go next to a door, you are human sized. The grab pack fits you perfectly the same way it would fit a human. How can you live outside the factory for years and be a toy...? even have an address to receive the tape

As soon as I heard the phrase “Bigger Bodies Project”, two thoughts came to mind: A) why not call it the “Bigger Buddies Project”, sounds cuter IMO, and B) that implies they were bigger. Like, were they experimenting on kids, and when they moved onto adults, the toys had to be WAY bigger? Or is it just a way of saying “we made toys big to fit in test subjects”, not “we made toys big to fit in *adult* test subjects, rather than kids”?

I don't understand your second thought (B), since the point was to make bigger toys so they can more easily do labor around the factory. I don't think adults/children bodies sizes were a factor in the decision to make bigger toys; if anything, a discovery they had to make down the line.
If you're referencing the point Mat theorizes about of The Doctor possibly making Elliott into 1006 and Elliott's notes on bigger bodies, I believe Elliott would've been used just as a means to get rid of an obstacle for The Doctor, and then we know they use children for other toys.
I don't know about Mommy, but the other big toys have nothing stating whether they were made from adults or children.
Basically, the decision to make bigger toys was for labor, not based on the source of how they make the toys.

I’m glad matpat is overcoming his fnaf trauma. Although he previously believed that the dad that got his daughter revived was a horrible person and was doing similar things to all the other children, he’s opening his mind up to newer ideas. Like the dad not being a completely horrible person! Hopefully he’s right about it. I’m glad he’s recovering.

I had a feeling this "prototype" (or Experiment 1006) was indeed made from Elliot Ludwig. I have a feeling when they hired this "doctor" to work for them, he [the doctor] was doing some shady things behind Elliot's back, without him knowing about it; and when he finally found out: He was then put or turned into the prototype by this doctor. Now that theory ACTUALLY makes sense!

I just noticed that, and plus when mommy took poppy , poppy personalities got changed like she said she want help us, but mommy captured her, she said "Terrible Things Have Happend" and in the unused ending of chapter 2 she said "We need to fix everything" "i see it inside you", "the train is now heading towards playcare", it's the best place to start looking, and the dialogue ends, maybe because the prototype took her to tell her something, because she is his daughter, so yeah?
Fnaf did so many things that you can't do anything in a horror game without it being similar to fnaf

So, are we, the player/the one that worked there, a toy in some way? Like MatPat said about the lines, the monsters can hear him, and so can we. So are we a toy of some type mistaken human? But if the prototype tells us to get up then why are the big toys killing us, are they confused or just that hungry?
I'd imagine we're a hybrid of sorts or maybe the success. Not completely human so the prototype can talk to us but not so much a toy that the others recognise us as one of them.
Maybe we’re a toy that got turned into a bigger doll… that looks life-like. Confuses them while opening us to communication via telepathy.

I don’t think that the bigger toys are young children at all. I think that they are all roles that are fulfilled by teenagers. For example, you’re not gonna have a young child as a security guard, or the role that Huggy Wuggy takes on. You’re not gonna have a young child looking after other young children, as they’ll just get distracted and want to play with the other children. Mommy Long Legs, or Maria Payne had to have been older than the children that were put through the tests in order to properly supervise them and ensure their safety. Same with Boxy Boo. It also explains their attitude. Children who have been through traumatizing events like this are more likely to freeze up and lock themselves in. Not necessarily vengeful, but afraid. Teenagers on the other hand are much more likely to be angry and want revenge. It explains why Mommy Long Legs has such a diverse and rich vocabulary, something that you are not usually going to find in a younger child. It explains the level of hatred that comes from comprehension. It explains why Mommy hates and is scared of the prototype. Because she knows that it’s Elliot Ludwig and that scares her. She associates all of the workers Witt the pain, even though Ludwig is just trying to help. It even explains the trailer for project playtime, with little huggy. The smaller kids possess the toys that were meant to go out to other children, but after being killed and transferred into a toy they are now scared, and rely on their bigger counterparts for safety. Really this makes it even darker in my opinion because the older you are the more comprehension skills you have. Imagine knowing what’s happening but being powerless to stop it, no matter how you try. Sad

as long as mommy is a seperate entity they can do more things at once, also she keeping the others from going haywire

I have a theory on how toy were used from adults. In chapter one you get a commercial for visits in the factory. Adults brought their children in the factory, adults were lured into a different room witch claimed to be “too gruesome for children” the adults are killed to make toys. The children became orphans.
I like this theory! It would make sense and maybe less FNaF like with dead kids

I think the problem with that is surely other family members (aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc) will notice that the parents and their children are missing.

In a weird way, Poppy Playtime is the "reverse" of the lore of FNAF.
Rather than the "big/evil/scary monster/character" being the bad guy, they're the hero. And the "hidden/glossed over" character is secretly the villain that caused the bad guy's/good guy's actions.

matpat I have a idea for the missing name on the slide try Harley from the tape in project playtime because it says he's THE DOCTOR and that should fit (by the way when I maid this I had no idea you talked about him)
I believe that 1) yes we play as an ex-employee that was fully aware of the experiments happening within the factory and perhaps were also aware of the "Bigger Bodies Initiative" just not enough to have certain level to what it actually is, 2) yes we are the ex-employee OF production of making said toys but not the actual head of the department itself as MatPat theorized. Would it be possible that at some point we couldn't stand -or more importantly/accurately no longer stomach- to what was happening to these kids coming in only to then be turned into whatever toy they're assigned to. So we chose to leave, leave the factory behind us, leave behind the children once under our care, leave behind the horrifying nightmares that we helped create but only to then return and be greeted by a new toy project turned rogue out for revenge or give us a chance to set things right.

I habe an amazing theory, I just realized poppy playtime has a scent that makes children happy, what do we see in the chapter 3 trailer? gas. LOTS of gas. What I propose is that the prototype needs “lets say poppy gas as a possible nesesity” for an unknown objective, he needs poppy because poppy’s scent IS THE GAS. So he needs poppy to reverse engineer the gas and make more of it. But this gas was made for children, if he has children the gas is to keep them calm so they don’t get hurt, so he can protect them, it sounds cruel but in a giant factory with blood everywhere and dark places with sharp objects, it’s all he can use so the children stay happy and don’t die
