Friends, today we're back in the world of Poppy Playtime discussing everyone's favorite toy... Kissy Missy. Ever since her appearance in Chapter 2, she's become a fan favorite and it's OBVIOUS as to why. @Mob_Entertainment knew this and decided to release some ancillary VHS tapes to flesh out the lore of the series while we all wait for Chapter 3, and boy oh boy did they give us something special. Kissy also seems very complacent in everything, but with zero malicious desire. Could be that as she was being turned into Kissy, they removed that rebellious/malicious streak from Patty, and now Kissy only wants to help whoever she sees, while also not hurting anyone.
I think her being complacent IS her being rebellious. She's not really following 1006's orders too.
Similar to a Dutch saying that's probably derived from one of our children's songs.

The fact huggie stood in front of a house doesnt scream orphan to me. It screams a person with a family... maybe someone who worked at the factory trying to go home. Someone confused who cant remember what they are trying to find... or someone who fully understands everything that has happened and is overcome with grief and hopelessness
hey, think about it like this… what do those who don’t have a home or a family often want the most? Even if lil guy knows he can’t go inside and just join a family. Maybe he just wanted to see and feel what it would be like to “go home”.

yeah for sure - i think matpat assumes huggy was a child because the orphan role definitely means some of the toys may be kids, but it doesn't make sense to assume that ALL the toys are kids, and not employees - employees who would make more sense to be used for "bigger body initiatives" (mommy herself is definitely not a kid, that would be strange af) --- if kissy is an adult employee, it makes sense for huggy to be. who knows? maybe Patty had a husband and to punish her, he was also turned into huggy toy? (to go with the male/female toy theme they seem to be going for)

I like how this also explains the alternate colors for the Huggies seen in project playtime as well as why kissy isn't a playable character in project playtime.
Kissy Missy is a skin for Huggy Wuggy, but the monster skins probably aren’t canon
@@sboy2044 it's more of a skin for the mini Huggies. Regardless Kissy Missy isn't a playable character despite being confirmed to be different from huggy wuggy. The 4 non-human characters we have seen in the poppy playtime games, not counting project playtime, are huggy wuggy, momy long legs, Kissy Missy, and Poppy. Poppy makes sense to not be a playable character as she's too small to be much of a threat. Kissy Missy doesn't make sense as she's the same size as huggy yet she isn't in the game. 2 out of the 3 deadliest characters from the main games are in project playtime.

The Prototype clearly isn't fully built, due to it taking pieces from supposedly Huggy and definitely Mommy Long Legs. It definitely uses the others to carryout its work, so it would make sense that Boxy Boo was the one who freed Kissy Missy at the command of The Prototype. Boxy Boo also has 3 fingers and a thumb with claws, which would fit the slash marks. Boxy also swipes that same direction when attacking in Project Playtime. It also makes sense for Boxy to hangout in Playcare as some sort of Security Puppet. Making sure the kids stay and don't leave.

what if the game doesn't end on a cliffhanger, but instead keeps track of the locations you've been to and objects you've interacted with, and then gives you a list of interpretations you've unlocked listed by number, which gives a rough retelling of the lore that isn't completely accurate?
When was kissy missy made? The idea of patty making a bunch of Huggy dolls pink and her being turned into one would be ironic and genius.

I'm so glad someone finally realized the screams in the relocation video sounded like the screams on the black tape in chapter 1 and connected the date to the fall of the factory. I was so upset when no one seemed to notice it when the relocation video came out

One other thing that is odd in chapter 2 is Jimmy Roth's tape. Every tape in the games have a reason to exist, so why did Mob show us that tape? Well, Jimmy reveals the way Playtime Co. Do their marketing. Now, I think that Jimmy had a battle with Patty Hall because of the fact that she miscoloured the toys, so Patty worked on the marketing department.

MATPAT! MATPAT! what if the reason the other toys specifically targeted the larynx and thyroid on the tiny bron (ex employee with lung cancer) is because he was the one that would release the gas on the kids, they might've A. Been angry at him because of what he did, B. Made it symbolic of how their voices were not heard, or C. Brons neck is like the fastest thing to bite. It says that hes been an employee since 1955 which is rather early in the timeline. Plus constant exposure to air borne substances could cause cancer and if he was gassing the youngsters then he mightve accidentally inhaled some aswell in much smaller dosages that would eventually lead up to cancer. (Just a thought)

If you look at the very bottom right side, there is actually some sort of bone. You are still right though, there are some restraints around her

I feel like Kissy Missy is actually Stella Gryabur. Kissy's cutout is seen at the train station and her audio also supports that. And when we pressed the buttons to head to new areas, it was Stella's voice which guided us. I know it's quite loose, but it's just something I noticed.
Patty was moved to storage some months before Kissy was created. So I think she makes more sense.
Stella I think was too high up to be in a puppet. More likely she just died by 1006 uprising.
One issue I still have is with Poppies origin. Poppy was made in 1950, Elliot lost a dear one in 1960.
So how can Poppy be the person that died in the 60s?
Unless of course Poppy is prototype one based on a toy they had already been producing.

Second, you forgot something. There’s another note in the room you find Patty’s note in - it’s the same as the ones on the machine at the end of the room, the ones that say “Lunch with Avery Fri” and the like, meaning it’s written by Rich.
It reads “Call Patty”, with a love heart.
Rich and Patty were romantically involved.

It would actually make sense if Patty was turned into a toy in Storage B when she sabotaged the paint machine. I've just looked over the new employee guidelines and rules (featuring The Stupendium, love that guy) and I saw that a few rules if broken, will result in the perpetrator being killed, or worse, turned into a toy. And it seems here that Patty/Kissy was a result of breaking those rules, so I get the connection when seeing it, and looking at the new Playtime Co. video Mob Games just sent out.

Does anyone else want to talk about how amazing the animation of the thumbnail is? As well as the intro which is legitimately far more scary then I thought it would be! Also, I absolutely love the theory!

Actually, I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but...especially with the dates of each video being in the filenames, it's possible that the videos were converted to .mp4 from another format. No anachronism needed.

My theory for the .mp4 thing would be because it’s “lost footage” so the camera’s would be able to back play but never downloads onto a chip until the computer it was found on was uncovered and fixed.

As I've pretty much proved through comments before, I believe that we're playing as Marcus Brickley. I think he wanted to find out what happened and find someone who he was most likely in love with. I believed her to have become Kissy Missy herself, because of how she looks at us with familiarity. Now we seem to know the name of who he was in a relationship with.
