Great video as always dude. Love the style and simplicity of your set up. Keep them coming. 👌👌👌
I’m glad you like it. It took a lot of research to trim the videos down. I want to deliver the same info and quality to all of you without wasting your time.
What a fabulously produced comparison video. Clearly a lot of work went into it. Wish it got more views.
The pause….chuckle…..RETAIL LOLL Bravo
I know right?
Tolles Video mit sehr interessanten Informationen zur bisherigen Pelagos. 👍😊 Bitte weiter so!!! 🙏
Thanks for the support!
I was on the fence on getting this but this video literally got me over…now, have one coming next week! Thanks Jason!
Glad to be at service. Here in aruba it was allocated in 30 mins my AD said. I had no chance at all.
A fantastic video as always Jayson, I love ❤️ the MN link the watch & this maybe the first Tudor to have a wait list IMHO 👍😍🤜.
"Maybe" just became a reality. I've been hearing everywhere that ADs are putting people on the waitlist for MN22. This is a brilliant move for Tudor.
Great stuff 👍🏻
Awesome work Jayson 👏
Thanks a bunch sixto
@@DesignAtelier I wish I was good at doing awesome design like you
Practice, practice, practice!
thanks a lot very useful
Great review! Thanks.
Thanks a bunch!
@@DesignAtelier could you pls explain the stepped rehaut?
I didn’t understand and couldn’t see the difference from your drawing. Thanks!
@@paaustria the original pelagos has an extra rehaut on top of the dial along the perimeter. It serves as a frame for the dial and indeces. That is completely gone from the FXD
@@DesignAtelier ok thanks for your reply. I have to look rehaut up myself 😂
I love this new Marine Nationale! Also love the availability.
I think the availability is genius marketing. It’s implied rarity but it’s something that brands do all the time with their serial numbering scheme. They made it into a selling point with this one.
Excellent comparison, mahalo.
I like the old Pelagos way better.
It is a better spec'd diver.
No way buddy, this is much more nice
I like the fixed lugs but prefer the previous shade of blue.
Sorry mike the old one doesn't even compare except i love the bracelet on the old one but its to thick the mill almost 15 no go
I have the 2 liner and almost never take it off. This is really cool!
A pelagos was once part of my considerations for my next purchase. I wasn't a fan of its think case.
Nice looking watchs ⌚
Definitely
It is super cool 👍👍👍
It is a unique piece indeed.
Nice subtle changes compared to the BlackBay.
Thanks for sharing.
I like this more than an BB right now.
@@DesignAtelier - Completely agree.
Great explanation of whats new in the FXD. But how do you know that MN21 will become MN22? It may rather refer to the year the model was issued and stay that way, as is common in military equipment naming. For example the Swiss fass57 assault rifle was replaced in 1190 by the fass90.
Yes there was a confirmation from a live stream by Revolution that the serial will change to MN22 for 2022 production.
What he said, has been confirmed. Will be 22 next year.
For the french navy, M.N.21 is not the year of the model (like the old MAT49 sub) but the year of admission in service. So yes, it will change every year.
@@alexandrelarsac9115 great info right here. Thanks for that little tidbit.
This watch is gorgeous
Seems like it. I want to hold it in my hand.
Got that bad boy
Congrats! Share an image when you have time!
I’ve just spoken to my ad manager and he has said each dealership will only be getting one watch in 2021 which they have been told to allocate to their “best” Tudor client and then it will become more available in 2022.
Thanks for the info. Wow that’s even more incentive to get one asap.
Yes, my AD told me the same thing. Ima number 2 on the list 😥
I've just got my allocation for 2022. Was told that they will be getting another 1 watch at their AD for 2022 still.
Congratulations Josh, did they give you any info on when you could expect yours to arrive next year?
@@joshthompson-smith6538 I had no idea they would be limited this much! Any info on when you might receive yours next year?
Also, the reduction from 5 to 4 lines of text in the dial makes it look cleaner / better for me.
I like the Pro Black Bay they just released but the square indices go so much better with the snowflake hour hand.
The FXD is my current watch crush and I put myself on the list for one.
Several ADs said they only got 1 or 2 so far...
Edit: Got one - and it's awesome!
good for you at least your AD got a couple. here its just one and its uncertain if they'll even get again.
@@DesignAtelier I got one via a friend. It is so much better than I hoped for. Also, the 51.4mm L2L isn't a problem at all.
Did you already got to check one out?
Sold on my LHD as it was too thick. So much is right about this watch, colour, thickness, fixed bars. Countdown bezel is a bit strange, but I'm very very tempted by this one.
Though thinner the new one might end up thicker due to the straps going behind the case.
This is true. It kinda ended up almost the same thickness.
So does pelagos mean square markers and black bay round markers?
Yup it seems. And floating hands.
I like the new shade of blue, but other than that I like my original Pelagos better with it’s amazing bracelet.
Yes many people remarked this. The lack of bracelet option underwhelms.
love my san martin pelagos
Hi Jayson, I'd be happy if your time permits and do a video on the beat women's watches under 500$. I search watches for her but always end up buying for myself as we can't find good watches for women in that price range 😂😂😂.
And, thanks again for recommending the Seiko SRPG63Kq
Let me see if there something I can find for that price that is not a fashion brand. I think Rado has some cool pieces that could work for her.
dope
Yup.
This watch looks amazing on wrist, much better than on photos. And I hate NATO straps but this one is something different. I can’t take it of, it’s very comfortable, only problem is now that if I want to keep it in mint condition I can’t wear it.
well keep this one and buy another one preowned next year. This one will be more valuable because of the serial and next year, you can even likely get one at discount if people end up not liking theirs.
Very nice watch but I prefer the original Pelagos.
Yes it has a lot of fans.
Loved my Pelagos LHD which l recently sold to make way for my Rolex Submariner 124060 when l got the call from my AD. Still missed the Pelagos LHD even after acquiring the Submariner at retail. As soon as l heard this release, l put in a call at my AD and secured an allocation - hoping to see the watch next week in the metal and see how it wears on the wrist before deciding if I want to add this to the collection 😎
I am hearing from our watch circles that each AD will get only 2 per location. Choose wisely.
@@DesignAtelier wow 2 per AD? Well.. smart move. Make it a rare watch! Man.. this new Pelagos fxd would be so hot if you can get it at an airport duty free. 😜
@@bigbrotherwatchesdannyboy306 this is a very calculated move launching it in November. Notice too that all the news outlets have on day 1. I’m checking my AD here later.
@@DesignAtelier please let me know what they say about availability 😁
@@DesignAtelier you are correct.. an aD confirmed. each AD will get only 2 watches this year.. the 21 models will go over list on chrono24 probably?
Very sturdy case design! Like all Tudors, I don't like the snowflake hands, but that's just me.
I also prefer pointy hands.
your arrow on the unidirectional bezel is going the wrong way. Not a huge deal. Just FYI
haha yes. its not the first time I've made that mistake.
Thinner pelagos is great - only 12.7. Wish it had a bracelet.
I like that its down to 12mm. it should be super wearable. im fine with not having a bracelet for this.
This is going to be huge....
it has potential. I could actually afford one of these too.
I will stick to my LHD, because it will or might be thinner . Thinner!? Thinner because there is no strap going behind the case due to design. So if you find the regular pelagos too thick ........ this will be thicker ,as thick , or so close it might as well be a regular pelagos .............with less water resistance . I like the aggressive crown though
Very good point. Indeed that trap will increase the overall height of the watch.
LHD still the best Pelagos IMHO.
I’m surprised there’s so many fans of the LHD. I’ll have to try one out next time at the AD.
I still prefer the normal Pelagos in many ways : no cluttered bezel as well as the awesome titanium bracelet and smart clasp system. Only thing I would improve is to remove most of the bottom text, just Pelagos and the depth rating would be enough. Also the bezel is slightly off centered. So that is complaining on a high level and it's already a nearly perfect watch for me and I wouldn't consider the FXD.
Well said. I think you would love the French Navy issue but then you’ll need to have some mighty connections to get one.
@@DesignAtelier yes, I wonder why they don't just sell the military version 1:1 also for civilians
@Sven Shruuf X the French navy actually licenses their seal to brands who can provide these watches based on their specs and will actually be used by their personnel. This is why you have both Yema and Tudor sporting MN models of their pieces. In fact any navy personnel can come to the navy and apply for official certification.
For a company like Tudor and Yema, issuing a civilian model would make better commercial sense for marketing purposes and brand equity. They know the collector circles observe these variances very closely. If they just outright do a 1:1, their relationship with the Navy may be one and done.
Comes in at $3900 not $3700. Otherwise, good info!

I don’t know the site said 3700. Wrong region?
I'd much rather have the
Yema Navygraf Marine Nationale.
That is a unique watch. A lot cheaper too.
Checked it out and looks awesome 👍
It is 3900 not 3700
I don't know. The site says 3700
imgur.com/OC3zVWl
@@DesignAtelier interesting in conus showing as 3900.
@@rolexer oh might be the import tax. Here in Caribbean it’s just 3%
I want a new version of the vintageTudor Snowflake Submariner. Until that time BB 58 Blue reigns supreme!
never gonna happen. I think this is better than BB58 solely due to having square markers - the round markers look odd on the 58 with snowflake hands
yeah I don't think Tudor will get that submariner out. This might be the closest we can get to it.
I always thought Jayson is European lol
I can pretend to be a bad European actor. At least I got one person fooled. haha.
So why will it sell out??😂😂
Because ADs only get 2 each, there is much positive reception and desirability because of the MN21 serial numbering.
1 each in Canada!
It's a nahhhh from me
Very understandable.
It should have been 40mm with the same blue 47 across. Tudor blew it again.
If minor watch brands such as Omega with its HE valve, Rolex with the Cyclops and GS with the Spring Drive power reserve indicator on the dial only listened to anonymous youtube commenters before they blew it they with their design decisions they might actually be able to sell a watch or two.
@@davidr2802 It's a numbers game if enough people wanted a watch with pink polka dots on it they would make it. If the new pilagos was a 40 mm it could have taken a lot of the U50 crowd In my opinion.
I agree with this. At the end of the day its a business that they run. It's a big portion of their business though to listen to their market. They have to strike a good balance to sell any product. Right now the biggest selling point of this FXD is the limited serial for this year. Lets see how well this sells next year when all the hype is gone.
you forgot the removal of the He valve.
He mentions.
Yup. 2:36
will not sell out
Well in aruba the 2 pieces they have are l ready allocated. So here at least it’s sold out.
Tudor botched this up. Should have wrote Marine Nationale on the dial and got rid of that stupid paragraph.
I don’t mind that paragraph of text. But I do prefer less.
Everything is a downgrade except the lugs. Hard pass for me I already have an LHD.
Yes it is a clear downgrade. If you have a Pelagos, you don't really need this model unless you're a fan of the French Navy
