Hopefully, this will be the beginning of fixing Tudor's reputation of missed opportunities. This appoach fully fits their "Born to Dare" motto. After this, I think if we see a loyal ranger and a smaller GMT, Tudor will be loved all round.
Love it Harry. Ah, it's just such good news... I feel so many of us in the community will be looking twice at the Pelagos now. Smaller BB58 GMT in steel is definitely on the cards too ;)
Harry, the import question about any future Ranger release will be its size.
Initially, I wondered if we would see a 41mm Rolex Explorer added to the line-up in '22, which was niave of me. It does, however, make me think a 38mm - 39mm Ranger may be on the cards from Tudor?
I agree and also hope its a real continuation of where Tudor have tip toed previous. I believe that whatever you feel about the PO1 for example, it was a true reflection of the born to dare philosophy.
I believe, in the near future, there will be many Black Bay 58's on the used market if this watch makes it to the general public.
For sure! Haven't we noticed how the Blue BB58's are starting to flood the used market already? It'll be very interesting to see how the landscape changes. Hope you're well B Dev! 🥃
Hmmm... I dunno man, I'd say it feels like a significantly different market segment. No metal bracelet, sportier, probably chunkier... I think we (the supernerds) always tend to overestimate our own relevance haha. And also... when was the last time we have not been able to justify to ourselves having 2 basically identical watches in our collection? I can't even bring myself to sell a random Steinhart Pepsi that I bought for no reason whatsoever 😄
@@ID-Guy Are you saying that my BB58 is going to be worth even less now?
Lol unlikely, I have a blue BB58 and waiting for the black and will not be selling either to fund any new release. Also there are more Rolex Submariners hitting the market than BB58s. Nice design idea though.

Big Fan of the countdown bezel.
You may win 🏆 that Tudor MN watch for our bet after all IDGuns 💪 killer VLOG and always 🤜
Brilliant video as always, this makes me so excited for an updated proper pelagos as well as the MN version!
As a Pelagos LHD owner with the in house movement I've been more than impressed with it. In fact it is one of my go to watches from my collection. The new version is interesting but I do wonder if Tudor will kill off the current version (I hope not) or run it along side it. A conversation some time ago with another CZcams channel owner we discussed a smaller Pelagos where a reduced depth rating to 300 or 200M would be fine and the removal of the escape valve (to reduce the height) would work, even the removal of the date function would work if it made the watch thinner. I guess there are a few things that I would like any new Pelagos to retain. The titanium case material, the ceramic lumed bezel and ideally some way of a quick release bracelet that captures the fixed strap bars. One of the great things about the current Pelagos bracelet is the clever adjustment system. I look forward to the new Pelagos reduced but I will certainly keep my LHD version.
I’m really excited to see what they come out with. Keep up the amazing work my friend 👏
Awesome news and video. We shall find out tomorrow :)
WOW! Can't wait to see this! Great job on your part!
A pleasure Oyster! It was great fun putting some time into getting the renders as close as possible (and it definitely left me wanting to experience it more) Super excited to see this model in the flesh! 🥃
Thanks ID, as always on top your game ..
I LOVE the FXD!! On the waiting list at my dealer as I can’t afford the £5000 price tag on the grey market. At retail they show awesome value !
So much better without the unnecessary dial text, shame it goes back on for the civvy version. The prototype is perfect, all that text on the dial(as seen on Beckham's example) kills it though.
Another outstanding video 👍🏼👍🏼
Tudor will be exhibiting at Dubai Watch Week - what better opportunity to launch this watch?
Thank you for another wonderful video 🤗
Very informative and i hope is soon to come true. Thank you again for some thoughtful content. Thumbs up to you!
Super stoked about this and great reflections in the video, looks absolutely amazing. I’ve already told my AD that I want to be first on the list if it turns out to be real.
Looks great. But if I would have to choose again, I would go for my Tudor Pelagos LHD.
Honestly, I think I'd rather just have the current Pelagos in a thinner 40mm case. The new one looks interesting, but I've always loved the Pelagos for being the modern "no BS" diver from Tudor with the BB58 being the throwback line-up. This feels like Tudor is just digging through their history for yet another vintage diver reincarnated to shovel into the hands of the fanboys.
I can understand your thoughts, but for me, this is not the case. It will be an iteration of a past classic which is great news, because as you say, if it was to please the fan boys, they surely would just copy and release the sub
Same i love the size of the modern pelagos , just needs to be a bit slimmer and a 300 meter imo.
I am very favorably impressed and excited by this apparent release I like the fully integrated bezel ring and the countdown feature as well. This has always made much more sense to me on a real “working watch” for its intended mission. I’m holding out hope for 500 meter water resistance and 2 lines of text for the civilian version but I’d definitely accept this watch as is. Thank you for an excellent analysis and great scoop on something many of us have been eagerly anticipating!
You have the perfect voice for watch content.
This is beautiful!… just when I thought my BB41 and GMT were the only Tudor watches I wanted. I really wanted an older Tudor Sub but prices are outrageous. This is a most welcome addition! Thanks for sharing this!
My pleasure Mike and I think many of us feel the same. This is such a fresh look to the Pelagos that'll have us all frothing 🥃
You or someone else in the comments may have pointed this out but, in the Tudor Fans France pic, the crown is on the left-hand side instead of the right!?
Well done mate 🥃
This looks fantastic, glad to see the civilian version has 4 lines of text not 5. What always put me of the Pelagos was there being no gap between the 6 o'clock indices & the text. Wasn't expecting a fully graduated bezel, looks good though. I bet this will be next to impossible to get when it does come out!!!
The lack of gap! It's the only thing I think about when I look at the Pelagos. How this got through the design department, I'll never understand.
Rachel thank you love listening to
Now I need to talk about this. Thanks man.
Get on it while the iron is still hot, m'boy! Hope you're well Jayson (and feel free to use my renders etc) 🥃
I had a dream last night that you guys were doing a LIVE stream together and it was very cool 😎.
What a beauty🤩🤩🤩 love this on the wrist ...
Fantastic video, many thanks - I will wait for the new Pelagos in black - left handed version :)
They have to release this model in black, right? It's a no-brainer! Thank you for the comment Christian! 🥃
5:10 Tudor has redesigned the measurement of time so that there are 5 seconds on the bezel from 0-5, 5-10. 10-15 and only 4 seconds between all other markings.
Good job IDGuy, love your videos. As an LHD owner, I can't wait to try this one on.
Amazing can’t wait
IDGuy I watch many of your CZcams colleagues. I think you've scooped all the ones who I watch. Pretty impressive!
Gréât vidéo, waiting....
A welcome addition indeed. Genuinely pleased to see a past render of yours come to life (more or less...). I'm also pleased to see Tudor appeasing enthusiasts (again) whilst managing a few surprises. The size will be of interest to me. I'm hoping for a 40mm case with a 40.5mm bezel. For selfish reasons I'd love to see a lug to lug of 48mm (at least!) but the wing-span looks like it's compact, which will no doubt be welcomed by many.
Like others in the comments, I hope this is Tudors first step away from reliance upon the Black Bay range for crowd pleasing releases.
And, it's at a point where if a Ranger - along the lines of the renders you produced a while back - isn't released soon I'll make the f☠︎︎☠︎︎king thing myself!
Thank-you for the 'scoop' and welcome news mate.
great content
Ahhhh, here we go, I mentioned this had been seen on Beckham's wrist. Looks good, and I agree that they should keep the ti case, but I miss the rehaut. I am also curious if it will be numbered.
The fixed bars seemed to result in a shorter lug-to-lug. The lack of the stepped dial may indicate a thinner profile too. Good news for us smaller wristed guys. Thanks for the news ID and Mr. F!
Superb...
Hopefully, the actual public release would be earlier than your 50 year age! Shocking!
I've heard of this information somewhere before but didn't took it seriously for it was unconfirmed rumours back then since I was confused and mistook it with the latest or current Pelagos model release.
Thanks for sharing on this new development with interesting renderings!
😎⌚👍
Ah, always a pleasure Thomason! I also saw a few bits and pieces but after getting more of a "chronological" look with everything in one place, it was too good not to ignore ;) Hope you're well, sir! 🥃
Another quality video👍
A question though. Do you believe Tudor will discontinue the present 42mm titanium version? Thanks
Amazing discovery and great video! Seems like a wonderful watch! On the “wrist” photo, why is the crown on the left instead of the right? Does it exist in both versions or is it a giveaway that the photos have been tempered with? Thanks again for a great video!
Well done. Hope it comes out to spec as you saw it.
I like it 👍! I think Tudor wants to get in on some Rolex waitlist action 😎!
It's all about that waitlist action in this day and age ;) Hope you're well Underachieving! 🥃
They do with their chrono's, but it's a real waiting list, longer for the panda less so for the reverse panda. If ordered and have history with the AD, you'd get in a few months. Only problem with their chrono's is the snow flake at certain times blocks the sub dial.
@@VersedNJ give it a while and the chronos will be available, same thing happened to the BB58 and GMT, which now anyone can buy online from the AD.
OH MAN!!!! I WANT ONE FOR GRADUATION
SO BEAUTIFUL
Had to see the real and finished product first though
Wow. Tudor is the new Rolex!
Pretty outstanding ideas in this iteration. Very true to the roots of the military dive watches by Rolex / Tudor. It will be interesting to see what they do with the civilian version. In the mean time, I'll keep myself happy with my M.N.80 issued 94010.
According to the facebook Tudor Fans France the new Pelagos will be announce on Wednesday November 10th!
very good Video, go for Pelagos👍
@IDGuy great work as always. I don’t know but I’m just not feeling the extra hash marks on the Pelagos bezel 🤷♂️
Thank you for sharing! I didn't know about this before.
I'll be honest, I don't love it. First, I conceptually love how the current Pelagos is so clearly modern in its design. I find a vintage-inspired Pelagos to be inherently at tension. I know the Pelagos itself clearly drawing dial & hands inspiration from the old Milsub, but for me it worked since the rest of the watch featured aggressively modern features, so that it came off as "what would we make if we made that Pelagos from decades ago, but totally reimagined it today", but as a vintage inspired variant it seems to sort of be flip-flopping in terms of the identity of the Pelagos line. Second, I don't love the bezel insert, as I'm not a fan of countdown bezels, and also found the empty space (i.e. not having minute tick marks after 15) of the older version to look nice in contrast with how busy a square-loaded snowflake dial can be. Third, this is a common Tudor issue, but a vintage-inspired watch (nor any watch) should not have 4 lines of text.
Maybe I'll change my mind as I see it more, I can definitely see the appeal (especially the black variant on rubber strap render you made) but just have some small hangups right now. I might also just be getting 'vintage-inspired' fatigue.
yes!! Must have i) sawtooth bezel ii) crown guard iii) square hour markers...
I'm eagerly awaiting your vision.
"Tudor never miss an opportunity, to miss an opportunity".
excellent
10:05 how would the rubber strap attach to the fully integrated lugs / fixed springbars?
This looks amazing.....
However i think its missing the aggressive jagged teeth bezel that the original vintage divers had. I think thats what a tudor snowflake reallye needs
Love your videos and your sober turn of phrase. Watches aside, you should upload videos of your workouts - you're clearly a buff dude!
Wow this would be such a hard win!!!
Kicking myself for not pushing ahead with this case shape! I’m looking in my note book from 2014, it was just too hard to make.
thanks. love this video. love the watch which i would jump on in a heart beat😅
As watch brands pay ever more attention to social media and their online fanbase - what makes you think the good folks over at Tudor aren’t watching your videos and getting inspiration? In other words: maybe you didn’t just guess what they were going to do, maybe you influenced it.
Absolutely love this look of the reworked pelagos. If they offer this in a LD version..im in for sure.
But the initial purchase price @23k euros..holy inflation batman ! That’s like “daytona” money !!
I love my pelagos LHD. The wording on the dial is actually in the shape/outline of the snowflake hand. Once you see it then it’s fine :)
Honestly the thing that makes this watch is the lack of "movie subtitles" on the bottom of the dial. Simple 2 lines of text, so clean, so beautiful. I'm stoked, hopefully this sees the light of day soon :) ... EDIT: I guess I spoke too soon, just seen the one on Beckhams wrist with 4 LINES OF TEXT... 'facepalm' :/
Looks OK, can't say I'm blown away by it - but I'm not a Tudor fan. The fixed springbar looks like a daft idea though, sure to cost them sales. Certainly their best current offering by some margin imho..
Got my SM300 (the retro 50's alike) on it's way to me, very excited 👏🏻
Thank you, keep it up 👍🏻👍🏻
Forget the MN tie in for a moment. The Pelagos was way overdue for an update. Almost seen forgotten.. apparently not!
I like what they've done. However, I do feel it would have been nice to have a bracelet option available also. Idk. Maybe they might have a new attachment system which may allow for one, also?
Couldn't have said it better, brother. One of the most under-appreciated models that Tudor offers, now getting that facelift. With the bracelet situation, it could be A) if you want a bracelet, get a black bay or B) they'll fit one to the Pelagos. Something tells me they'll be leaning more towards A but who knows? ;)
I really like it but I also wonder if this had to be released under the "Pelagos" line. Wonderful to see how similar it was to your design suggestions! - Han
You've missed the point. Tudor won't re-release the sub until it has completely exhausted the Black Bay.
So interested to see how this goes tomorrow.. in particular the price.. a luxury tool watch that you seemably won't be able to buy on a bracelet. Might be a mad rush for the current pelagos for me!
Ordered mine today. I’d discussed this release with an AD a few weeks ago and they called me this morning; 1 day ahead of the official release and I’ve placed my order. Delivery in December. God, I hope it’s good! The group will receive only 2 watches before the new year. No news on supply in 2022. Great video ID! I’ll be in touch once it arrives, to ask if you’d like to review it. Thanks!
On the watch sellers insta post it reads - "Entrée en avant première, Tudor MN 21 en titane, Militaire (Marine Nationale)" - I guess these military issued ones are titanium then for sure (just finished differently).
Thank you for this piece of info (I had no idea) So maybe this means there's hope that the civilian model will be in titanium too?
@@ID-Guy yeah fingers crossed... Will be interesting to see the finishing up close, because as you say in the video, it looks like steel!
I sure hope Tudor releases a Snowflake! 🙏🏽 Any thoughts of doing a video comparing the two versions of the Longines Heritage Classic Sector - mainstream and Hodinkee release? Thought it would be interesting.
Great to see you Ant! And an excellent idea. Must say, I haven't been too phased with the Hodinkee "neutral" looking dial but LOVE the colour they chose. Hope you're well sir! 🥃
Leaker video 😀
This watch is watch is simple in its design and execution, making it a future classic!
Most definitely going to be a future classic and such a special launch when it happens! 🥃
You had me sold at A Pelagos in SS rather than Ti. But for every line of text removed from the dial I'm pulled in deeper to obsession.
Funny how the Pelagos basically owns the record for lines of text on a dial haha! Ah, it's exciting...such a fresh evolution to a complex piece 🥃
Great video and I know many of us are salivating snd hoping they release a civilian version.
It sounds like the large majority of us want this watch asap (me included) What a killer! So excited to see what options come with these models. Thanks as always Rob! 🥃
you look exactly what i thought of in my head.
Great video ID, I think that this release would be great alternative for everyone that wants a non date unique diver with a 100x cool factor.
I really wish Tudor re-releases the Submariner 94400 with the bakelite bezel, but with a modern size, maybe 38 mm instead of the 33.
Those 90's Subs were special, right? And thank you for always leaving a comment here Abdul. I hope you're well sir 🥃
I had a conversation with my AD yesterday and he said there was a secret reveal on a new Tudor coming on the 10th November, he had no idea what it was but he was very excited. Maybe its this watch????
I remember listening to your prediction video - you called it right!👏🏻 I have a small deposit in a customer account with my AD ready to go! I’ve been invited to “an exclusive presentation of the new Tudor collection” on 17th Nov... 🤔
ps. Almost as many comments on IDG’s appearance as there is on the appearance of the Pelagos! What’s wrong with you people?!
The Beckham watch had more text at six o'clock. Could that be the difference between the navy and civilian models?
I like the non civi version, also one of those photos of the military issue one is LHD (10:47). I've actually just started scuba diving and I've been bringing along with me my Seiko but actually I'm wondering whether this new Tudor could be a justified purchase!
Something about these new models have made me seriously think about adding a Pelagos like this. The whole "function first" idea is what they were going for and it's awesome! So impressed. Also hope your diving has been a blast George! 🥃
For me its too little deviation from the pelagos and black bay line, but maybe thats not a bad thing in the grand theme of things. I still dig the P01 more
Don't forget the seiko marine master monobloc case. Plus great video
I don't think the Tudor is actually a true monoblock like the Seiko, as it appears to have a opening caseback
The face behind the voice!
Very exciting. I only pray that it's skinny! I have the pelogos & bb58. I don't like how thick the pelogos is. Fingers crossed...
I believe the civilian version will have the spring bars and not the clips or welded spring bars as they will want to sell it with a bracelet. I am down to get one especially at 39-40mm. Also hoping the thickness will be comparable to BB58 so it’s not this big brick on your wrist. Also, it looks like those marine nationale are 200m water resistant so I am guessing the civilian version will be the same.
CWC also some models have welded lugs.
What a cool watch. I´m on a waiting list for a bb58 blue and even if the Pelagos is as cool as it gets, I want a dressier diver from Tudor in my collection. My tool diver is the Sinn u50 and I love it. Best regards Oni
BB58 waiting list? Maybe last year. I’m seeing them all over the place in AD windows. The chrono will be the same next year.
@@bobbydazzler1780 I want to buy it from my local AD and it is not easy to get them here now, but it is okay, I can wait.
Regarding the fixed (not) spring bars: At least CWC did this in their 1980 Royal Navy Diver reissue. But Tudor would definitely cause a bigger splash.
Well done! You were right with your prediction my friend. There was a new MN Tudor on the cards. It looks really, really nice. I love the fixed springbar element. A true feeling military watch. It had to be a Pelagos rather than a run of the mill Black Bay too. It’s Tudors best tool watch by far. A LHD model would just be perfect. This is exactly the kind of collaboration that Tudor needs to help elevate the brand to the level Rolex wants them at so that the parent company can elevate themselves in the market place.
Great video as always my friend. ✊
P.S. Mate, I’ve been meaning to say it for a while but, PLEASE kill the backing music. The sound of the drummer playing with the brushes just sounds like someone grating their nails down a blackboard. It is SO distracting and I feel is an unnecessary element to your otherwise brilliant videos. I don’t know whether you feel that now you are on camera that you need a bit of music too but, you don’t and it all sounds like a bit of a mush. If taken out of the equation would add a bit of breathing space to the production. Just my opinion though. Great videos nevertheless. ✊
Stunning Piece, I am really impressed. It will be interesting when they release this officialy to geht to know the Material used and of course the pricepoint.
A few years ago a rolex sub could be bought for right around 5k and now maybe the First 5k diver from Tudor, good Move from them.
Hey IDGuy, i am very keen to know your opinion on the new Longines released in colab with Hodinkee. Has it in your opinion taken the Design to a higher level? Especially the 3-6-9 „Design Flaw“ has been adressed.
Have a good one
All the respect in the world for who you are and what you share with us. But until I saw you just now, having only been listening to your voice for this long, I totally thought you were a middle aged Indian guy. Wow! Ok. I’m up to speed now.
This made me laugh big time! And don't worry, did a face reveal a few weeks back and had similar reactions (some also thinking I was an indian guy, others that I was a professor with a tweed jacket etc) It's a bit of an adjustment to say the least 😉 Thanks for this, Shift 🥃
For anyone who's interested, @Migghe_Company (found on Instagram) were responsible for selling the first of these Marine Nationale Pelagos examples: instagram.com/p/CUXmEELMbkZ - Here are the images that were sent to me
Thanks for the video and the link.
On the Instagram you linked, it says that the watch is made of titanium.
By the way, there were 1 or 2 photos where the watch was LHD but most were normal... 🤔
Well done! It sure does have a military vibe. I looks a bit like the Citizen 44-0019 Crystron and 51-2273 Auto from 1980. 💪
Great video and prediction! Can't wait for the Tudor MN
