    Love this watch and not enough is said about it in comparison to the other Tudor watches. It is architecturally stunning and I can't take my eyes off of the watch when driving and the sun touches it. Absolutely awesome watch!

    Have mine in blue and agree with everything you said. I have a 16 CM wrist and wears great. Constantly go after the watch nerds that yell for Tudor to make it smaller and I'm steel. To me it's perfect just the way it is. I call it my bug out watch. If the shit hits the fan it's the Pelagos I want on my wrist.

This watch is as close to perfection for a dive watch as I could ask, 1-2mm thinner it would be the only thing I might change. Nice review. I tried one on today and am now thinking it would make a stylish addition to my collection. It’s so light which makes a change from steel divers. And the vintage looking colour of the off-white looks retro charming. Reminds me of the James Bond Seamaster but better. And the left side crown is pleasantly quirky.

    Lovely review. The Pelagos LHD is my favourite Tudor, combining technical excellence with classic good looks. The aged lume hits the right notes, while the depth rating is incredible. It's a great watch, it has some cues from the old Tudor models (especially with the indices) but still has some modernity. They did not go overboard with the patina, it's clearly modern and a tool watch. I could not quite bring myself to love the heritage black bay 39. As someone who also wears a watch on my right hand (even though I am right handed), it seemed like the perfect choice.

    Hi Esbjorn, thanks for your informative and Scandi-cool review. The only other time I came across your name was a Swedish pianist, Esbjorn Svensson, so I assume your origins are Scandinavian. I have been thinking about a new watch for a while and The Tudor Pelagos, was high on my list. My explorations so far, have all been on line, but I am now at the point when I am about to hit the shops. The fact that the review is by an enthusiast, rather than a watch professional, was just what I was looking for. I have looked at many on-line reviews and yours I think has been the most helpful. I will go out and try one, my major concern is that my left hand and wrist are smaller than my right. Unlike you, I have never been comfortable wearing my watch on my right wrist, I just hope The Pelagos, doesn't overpower my smaller wrist, we will see. Thanks once again for your balanced and quiet review, it was a pleasure to listen to.

      Thanks so much Mark, that would have to be some of the nicest feedback I’ve received and definitely inspires me to keep going. I’m aware of my jazzy namesake and we hail from the same country, despite the name being very unusual even there. I would ask the retailers to put it on the included rubber strap for you, and perhaps even try a textile option. I think that may “de-bulk” the overall package. That said, much like many Tudor and Rolex watches, there is some magic on the wrist where they seem to just settle on wrist. Thanks once again for your kind words, means a lot 🙂

      @@EsbjornWristwatchReviews, thanks for your kind and speedy reply and the good advice contained therein. Everything you say makes perfect sense and as a last resort, I may well have to try that. I have worn steel strap watches for over fifty years and would like to continue that trend. Just to prove I was paying attention, I know in this case we are talking titanium, rather than stainless steel. If it proves to be too large, I will try the alternate strap and if it still doesn't work, or the magic doesn't kick in, maybe a Black Bay GMT., or something of a lesser stature. Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated, best wishes for the future and stay safe.

    A nice review on the Pelagos. I just got a Pelagos LHD myself and notice the bezel seems to have a bit of play when you press down on it from the top and you feel a spring effect which "bounce" the bezel back up when I release. Its that normal? Cos the bezel turns with a different feel and sound when I press down on the bezel insert and turn vs gripping the coin edge to turn.

    Great video, thanks. But just a small correction, in Greek it is actually pronounced PElagos (the accent is on "e"), not PelAgos.

      Thank you, The clasp picks up a few scratches but what you see in the video is normal usage so a few small scratches. I honestly think it adds to the character. The bezel is ceramic and tough as nails

      @@EsbjornWristwatchReviews Thank you so much! 👊🏼 I'm very interested in this amazing timepiece, but I'm a bit skeptical about the rather small diameter of 42 mm, as I have a rather large wrist with 20.5 cm. 🤔🙈

      @@goedoensundso ah gotcha, yeah I’m quite tall and solid so I hear you. On my adult son it looks too big, on mine just right. I think it’ll be ok but perhaps try one on if you can. Perhaps a non fitted strap/bracelet will make it look larger?

      Haha, so yes it’s a little harsh on the eye but the aim was to show everything as is on an old watch. I have since changed my approach a little since macro lenses are extremely unforgiving! Thanks for watching though 😊

      I don’t disagree, it’s one problem with titanium, coated or not

    • @yianpap6093
      @yianpap6093 Před 2 lety

      @@EsbjornWristwatchReviews Are you sure? In theory grade 5 titanium has double the hardness of SS and as such it is doubly difficult o scratch. Even grade 2 Ti (which I think this watch uses) is as scratch resistant as SS, perhaps a bit more even.

    Hmm, I like this when I tried on the shop, no doubt a damn solid watch💪
    But I quite sad that the case back is actually Steel as I have allergy issue if I am wearing steel caseback🥲
    Otherwise, this watch is 😍 on my short experience at AD
