Hallo Lukas,
Super 💚-lichen Dank
It’s funny, when I watch your newest video I always say that this was your best one so far. But this was a gamechanger. I loved the animations while zinc plating and all of the love you gave this tool.
You’re a freak, and I love you like that! Keep on going please! ❤️
Thank you thank you my boy. Don't know how to handle so many kind words out of your direction 😅 it was a blast yesterday and the Gulasch you made was over the top. Looking forward to meet again
I think the same. A higher level has been taken with this restoration and the video itself.
...@NTRprojects sharing a Gulash with a friend and beers is life!
Exactly! I congratulate the good doctor on his ever-improving practice!
And it’s blue! Love it!💙
Disclaimer: I was kindly informed that the saw blade seems to be mounted the wrong way around. Very good eye and I missed this detail during video editing. However, the saw blade is mounted the right way around. At first I also thought that the saw was turning the wrong way around, i.e. that I had wired the motor incorrectly. When I frantically ran back to my workshop to check it, the saw turned the right way around.
And then I realized what had happened. And here is the explanation:
The shutter speed of the camera and the rotation speed of the saw blade are overlapping in such a way that the camera always takes a picture when the saw has almost made another rotation. If you line up these pictures in a video like usual, it looks as if the saw is rotating in the wrong direction. You know this effect for example from car commercials where the wheels seem to turn backwards when driving forward or in videos of old propeller planes where the rotor seems to turn slowly in the wrong direction.
There are countless explanatory videos on youtube, if you want to learn more about this.
I wish you all a good start into the new year and hope you will tune in again for the next video.
Knowing nothing of tools, I watch your channel because you take the time to explain what you are doing and why. Your visuals are marvelous and humor is appreciated. This tool looks like it should be in a show room...just a lovely result.
I have to agree 100%. Your work is flawless
I agree!
Putting all the details in the CC is a great idea. More restoration channels should do this.
A year later, and this remains one of the best restoration videos of all time.
Between the creative vision, the talented restoration, the careful explanations, and the stellar editing, I keep getting drawn back to this video time and time again.
4:05 - "oh no, I dropped it and it fell apart". I love these comedy edits, including the marching stop-motion parts from time to time.
These old Tools are made to never die. But this saw should enjoy its retirement. I bet it never looked better.
The Christmas shirts! Yay! What a holiday treat of a video.
I know someone, somewhere freaked out seeing you put that Bosch blade on a Festool saw 😂. Gorgeous final product!
Good call! Someone did in fact :D
I can’t believe you cut that piece of plywood!! That’s thing is a work of art
Really nice restoration! Just one point - the Festo tool company (Festool) usually has the green color, like the original lettering of the hand saw. The blue is the Festo color for the pneumatics company.
Beautiful machine for the 1960s. Festool has a great reputation, glad to see their history come back to life!
That shine you got from that dull metal is amazing
Glad to hear that you liked it so much Anthony Curreri
I'd drive that down the street 😁. Excellent job dude 👏👏👏. Looks great! 😎
Thanks! 👍
Sehr entspanned, sich so ein Qualitätvideo anzuschauen. Sehr gut! Weiter so!
Tools make me ridiculously happy. I used to buy old tools at yard sales & thrift stores. Those were some of the best purchases I have ever made. Old tools were made to a higher standard of quality. Yeah, I like the newest gadgets & gizmos but old tools are what really makes me happy. I almost feel a weird type of connection or continuity between me & the tool's previous owners. Woo-Hoo! 😁
Same here!
I am pretty much speechless after watching this. Seriously, next level! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Festo… ¡wow, fancy!
And the cadillac style is even fancier
I am running out of adjectives to describe your work...how does "stellar" sound? Every time I see one of these tool videos it reminds me of some of my dad's old tools I just threw out when he passed. He had an old metal Craftsman skill saw he used for years to cut brick - he was a mason. It was still working some 30+ years later and deserved something like this. Oh well can't undo what was done. But it did make this one pretty special for me. Thanks for that.
Zu schön um erneut Macken zu riskieren.
Eine wunderbare miit Liebe ausgeführte Arbeit.
Ich gratuliere.
Grüsse aus Asien,
Ralf
That's gorgeous.
This is how it should have been made. Better than new.
Perfect restoration friend, have a nice day !!!. Brian UK !!!. 👍👍👍💪💪.
That old but very high quality saw is like an old house that has good bones. Excellent restoration!
I love the bright blue color and the polished bits with this saw. It definitely looks like a power tool from the 60s. Nicely done!
Amazing transformation my friend! Practical and beauty all rolled into one!
Spectacular restoration !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like the 'Cadillac' versions of old powertools
This is worthy for starting a series "Pimp my tool". Tool is looking gorgeous.
The fact that this saw never looked this good when it was brand new!
As per usual you excel in your attention to detail and precision in a restoration. I love the 60’s (?) car colour too! Of course nothing would be complete without that special beer tasting. I am finding I look forward to that part even more now! You will have to try some Australian boutique beers, if you can find any in Europe. Great job!
Excellent - the outcome is so nice i would hesitate to use the saw... Love the finish of that knob!
A marvelous transformation. Job well done, and with respect for the history of the saw.
Nice one! At first I thought you were quenching the blued parts in beer! 😅. PS - the animations are great!
Pssssst that's my secret. Only I do the beer quenching for perfect results 🍻😅
A beautiful restoration of the old saw very neat
Thanks a lot for watching and commenting Tom Barlow
What a beauty!
Hats off to you, buddy. Prost !
The sanding and polishing transition was great. Happy new tool day.
Your best work yet! This was a joy to watch!
Glad you enjoyed it!
"Flötzinger" always reminds me of the german Eberhofer crime movies... 😄
I had it for the first time and i never heard of it before, but I will have it again
Think we need a bench grinder resto next! Awesome job!
Wow NTR! This is one of those restoration videos in which the time and care you have taken really shines through, Mind blowing results for sure! 🤩 Love how this shows that not all tools belong in the bin and they can be restored to working order with time and care. You’re a real inspiration!!
P.s Festool commented, that’s so cool 😎
Cheers

Also, I love all the new tools you had on show for this video. Crazy what you need to invest in order to fix something sometimes!
‘Currently away to buy a band saw on Facebook marketplace’ 😂😂
You know, I've seen videos like this before. But you sir, make exceptional videos. Well done.
Not terrible at all.
In fact, it is an awesome restoration!
Glad to hear that you liked it so much Mikeg1 .1
I love the work, and the beer content too!
That saw is absolutely beautiful 😍
Beautiful,should last another lifetime!👍👊
Love the new animations
"I rate one beer each video. I make 12 videos a day". Ah yes! That Patreon money hard at work. It certainly helped to make that saw a sexy piece of history.
Of all the Restoration Projects from youtube, yours are the best. You really have a perfect feeling for details and aesthetics.
Hello mister wonderful restoration beautifully restored well done
Many thanks!
So many skills to restore one thing! The satisfaction with the result is great.
Now that's a proper Festo color ;D
Beautiful result. Thank you!
Very well done, you’re getting better and better at this all the time.
The Cadillac Eldorado of circular saws!
Nice job! I really love the two-tone!
Yay, thank you!
Extremely satisfying,
great video
Glad you enjoyed it!
It is a very high quality tool that worth a complete restoration
Fab to see an new video ... great work 😊
Schönen 3. Advent euch allen 😁
Ebenso einen schönen 3. Advent
@@NTRprojects Dank Dir.
I got bored of and unsubscribed to a few restoration channels. Yours is not one of them. Something about the care and effort you put in and the kind of guy I feel like you are all comes together just right. You deserve more subs. I'll pray to algorithm for you.
I like your work and the videos. But I also like your beer tastings! For christmas I bought Budweiser beer and it was just great!!
Very very good!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you! 😃
Flötzinger hat ein tolles restaurant! ;)
Muss ich wohl mal nach Rosenheim fahren
What a restoration....SUPERB...
Keep it up Sir.👍👍👍
Beautiful work. Never thought a miter saw could be a piece of Art!!!
The powder coating and zinc plating is what makes me wanna watch you
I loved the sand paper assembly line , I will use that myself
Very nice perfect restoration
I do like your animations
I love watching your sandblasting,
It's amazing.
This is the most gorgeous saw I’ve ever seen!! Love, love, love the blue! With the shiny polished metal it is just a stunning piece of machinery. I also really appreciate the breakdowns you give and the sanding animations really show what you have to go throw to get the finishes you want. Excellent job on the restoration AND the video. 👍👍
Just an FYI....change THROW to THROUGH. :)
Wow it IS so very perfect Work Love it einfach nur mega gemacht ❤️👍❤️
Well done video. Love the colour.
Oh wow, what unbeliveable good work and what a nice skillsaw!!!
merry Christmas and thank you for a year of great videos….(and beer!)😂
Hello Mr Beer.
Been sent here by your fellow restorer Mr Patina.
The tip was a gold one. Been watching your videos for too many hours now.
Nice variety of project, amazing work quality and attention to detail, superb quality for filming and editing. And to top it all, nice humor and a refreshing cold beer.
Cheers, a big thanks, and keep up the very good work.
Hey Vincent. Nice that you followed his recommendation. Welcome to the channel!
I only have one issue with your restoration. The finished product is almost too beautiful to put to such a mundane task as sawing lumber. It could almost qualify as a museum piece. Excellent workmanship and attention to detail. Wonderful restoration!
Always love watching your videos including the animations with the smaller bits of the saw ...
Glad to hear it!
Always Love to watch your restorations, keep it up Sir.
Fabulous job, stunning finish. Built when machines were made to last and indeed kept going. Sadly I guess those who made it may no longer be around, but imagine if they could see it now. 'Not terrible restoration' but 'Immaculate restoration'.
Way to go...definitely a "Not Terrible" restoration! Beautiful!
They don’t build them like that anymore! You do nice work 👍
Very shiny!
That was great! Such beautiful work and a joy to watch. Possibly your best yet.
Wow, thank you!
Yay! Powder coating! ❤️
I love it!
That's marvelous. The shape reminds me of Raymond Lowey's designs for a number of things, including locomotives. I am concerned that I didn't see you properly lubricate the ball bearings, though.
Hey Jozsef those are closed bearings and they are closed because the lubricant is already inside. They are not supposed to be lubricated from outside so the engine doesn't get lubricant all over during use. At least that's how I learned it. Hope you are doing well. Let me know if you have other information on the bearings
@@NTRprojects If they all had seals, I missed it. That makes sense though.
I like this, please say no to war!!
Thanks a lot for watching and commenting BGB thabun
Beautiful restoration and color 😊
I love how you explain things as you go along. Also, I really like the animation. Looks like a Cadillac now that it's finished!
Thanks a lot for watching and commenting Kim O'Donnell
A truly stunning job on this old beauty. Congratulations.
Many thanks!
Superior work Sir, well done!
also, this is def your best video yet. i loved the editing and the animations, but even more so, i love the work you did on this saw. prob the biggest compliment i can give: i kept expecting to see you say "i make a new one"!
Owww thank you , I do get the hint. Much appreciated
Great job! As usual, by the way.
Thanks again!
Great color choices!!
Thank you! Cheers!
