The most accurate and honest review I’ve seen for this gun yet and I’ve watched all of them thank you sir
Yeah, this guy does great reviews, I agree.
Great video and as a subscriber I watch them all. I have watched this one several times and my 22 cal 10x Fusion is going to be delivered tomorrow. Thanks for all the reat reviews
Thank you for this review and comparison! 👍😎
Best wishes and happy shooting!
Martin
True test is which one silences that rooster first.
Hello, is there a difference between the Swarm Maxxim and Replay 10 Maxxim? I heard somewhere that it's just the same gun with a different name in the US and Europe. Need confirmation
@@brrrkic - I'm not sure. You could contact Gamo to find out.
brkic you’re correct; it’s just the different names. However I’ve also noticed that the European Magnum doesn’t have a sound moderator installed.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@Dudley Monat wow, you're a creepy boyfriend. Congrats, weirdo.
Great video guys ,just a point about new rifles , that they diesel when new due to the oil in the barrel ,this will produce more power and noise until at least 10 shots , regards from England
Love my .22 Swarm Maxxim Gen2
I got the Maxxim love it 🙂thanks for the video between the two rifles 👍🏻
Thank you for watching!!
Maxxin has the best looking barrel I’m going to get the maxxin
Maxxim
Henry Hughes my Maxxim has been Shot and abused more than anything else I own, and it just keeps dishing out winning shots :).
People say the built in mag is bad does it function perfectly with you
Excelente Video - Voy por el FUSION. Gracias por el Video - Saludos desde México.
How about a decibel on the Rooster 🐓 You guys are helping me make up my mind. Leaning toward the Fusion.
I have an ACTUAL decibel meter and while it's no comparison I fired the IGT roadster (same as swarm fusion) without air protection indoors once and it nearly deafened me. When I took the db meter and positioned it about 8 ft away and fired it again I got a reading of 107 decibels. It is NOT the quietest thing you will ever hear. In all fairness it was significantly quieter the one time I shot it outdoors.
Would have been cool to see some footage with that TActacam FTS mounted up to see what you were seeing through those scopes... I'll look for another video on that on your channel.
Thanks for the vedios
Nice shooting guys. With the engineering Gamo pulled off. Here is what I think should be Gamo's next engineering improvements!!! The best nitro piston air rifle Gamo could make with their existing technology would be called "The Gamo CFR Swarm Maxxim or Magnum. Gamo should take their under lever cocking CFR and engineer into this rifle a 10 shot magazine into it making a .177 and .22 calibers. The Gamo CFR has amazing feature in its stock and are incredible accurate because of their fixed barrels. These rifles will not suffer from barrel droop over time like all the break barrel rifles. also there would be no magazine interference with the sights on the rifle because the magazine and loading mechanisms would be internal. Being an engineer take a quick look at the Gamo CFR rifle and tell us what do you think of this combination.
Fixed barrel,10x magazine magnum power, pcp will be history xD
I have the gen 2 and after shooting several hundred pellets it has feeding issues from the magazine this is the 2nd one I’ve had and 5 different magazines. Overall I like the gun. Not saying anyone else will have this problem. I haven’t figured out the issue yet.
Thanks, have you compared the power between the two airguns? There may be more recoil in the fusion because of a heavier spring.
They are gas powered, there is no spring.
What was the best pellet you used that day?
Ilike gamo swam maxximm..fantastic..👍👍👍👍👍
dB could be the same, but frequency can affect how lowd it sounds to the ear.
Thanks for the great video. Could you please tell me after how many shots it’s safe to install the scope?
You’re welcome!
Technically you should be able to mount it immediately, however one of my viewers suggested a 200 rd break-in. I mounted mine at 120 rounds and started flinging lead, but by that point we had heated the barrel so much that we couldn’t get any more accuracy 😆.
The Dollar Sportsman That’s what I figured, I mounted mine at about 100 rounds. Thanks a lot for the reply and keep up the good work 👍🏻
@@Todolive He was just getting the feel for it. It's a light gun with enough recoil to be a hold sensitive rifle.
I have both as well and I kind a like the old system it was a pushbutton magazine release this one’s kind of tug press it just sucks
Which one you recommended?
You have 3k subs! Can you do a bird hunt with the swarm fusion?
have to put the decibel meter at different ranges. they're both going to sound the same right up on it because you're hearing more of the powerplant. take measurements from 10, 20 yards, etc...
Great review. I just bought the Swarm Fusion. Seems loud to me. Used decibel meter and was getting 90-95 dB. Not high 70s like you. Maybe mine isn’t broken in? Done about 100-150 shots so it’s new. Any thoughts?
Hmmmm; that seems strange. After that many shots it should be much quieter.
Check to make sure you don’t see any cracks in the suppression; if you don’t find any, give GAMO a call. That seems too loud for it to be a fluke.
depends on the lecture mode of the sound level meter “fast” or “slow”
At lower elevation it will have more power and be louder.
Is it still possible to double load pellets with the swarm fusion g2 since they upgraded from the gen1
All I know is the Gamo swarm maxim is probably the gym of the swarm series. Just as quiet as the fusion, same power as the fusion, cheaper than the fusion And I think it may even be a tad bit lighter. And if you like to diesel pellets for more power, like I do, the muzzle brake definitely does help reduce the recoil.
Please make a review of gamo hunter 1250 grizzly pro mach1 airgun
Hi there! Nice video! Is it plausible to swap the autoloader so you can upgrade older models with a newer loading system.
It’s not meant to be swappable, but I bet a clever person could figure it out :).
Question. On a torture test. How long till failure. I’ve heard complaints loading system broke in a month and customer service sucks at gamo for repairs. I’ve seen 3 yr warranties and one yr.
I know 4 ppl that have problems with the new type magazine. From pellets dropping out to the magazine misaligned after a couple of months.
I will only buy generation 1 gamos.
Dollar Sportsman, I noticed your Fusion Gen 2 has the greeen band. However on the Gamo website it shows the red band. is there a choice on the .177? Is there really a difference in performance between the Red and Green band other than the size of the pests I experience here in AZ
Hey, G-Man!
The different colors are Gamo’s rating system. Red is pest control and recreation (usually .177); green is Hunting (.22). They have a blue for Target and Competition, as well, but that may be their PCP’s (not sure). That’s the only difference.
Hope you’re doing well, sir!
@@TheDollarSportsman Thank you for your reply really appreciate it. So I am going to place my order today for the .177 model. again thank you.
I used to be in the army would you say it's wheelchair suitable?. Asking if you think the thumb hole stock is strong enough to support its own weight + cocking effort?
FC's The Meme it’s purdy good; they built those stocks very strong. I’ve probably beaten them around a bit and haven’t had an issue 😎.
@@TheDollarSportsman thanks I was kinda sceptical about the links behind the pistol grip. Can't wait for Turkey season.
what is the exact name of the app you are using to measure the decibels?
The only difference between the two rifles is the stock and the loading mechanisms. They both have the IGT piston. Same gun in a different body.
pretty much
I like the maxxims muzzel
Fusion has a little more power
I prefer the top load clip from the 1st Gen the flat magazine load has a tendency of the pellets actually falling out of the magazine
Will a BMW 1 series door fit in a 3 series?they look a bit different, but is a door..
You have used the scope that came withe the fusion, how did it performed? Is it good enough for backyard plinking up to 50 yards max once in a while?
Yes it’ll do fine for backyard plinking :)
Thanks for your fast answer! Peter
Have you tried shooting heavy slugs with the maxxim... Like 217
Is it worth buying a fusion over the gen2 maxim they seem like the same gun only ones cheaper
Hi guys, which one do you think it’s better to buy?
I have the GAMO Swarm Fusion .177 with a Hawke 2-7x32AO Airmax scope and with the H&N Field Target Trophy Domed Pellets, 8.64 Grains its a tack driver I wont buy any other pellets.
Good
In your opinion is the Gen 3 Fusion worth $70 more than the Gen 2 Maxxim ?
Im new to airguns. Been looking at them for 3 yrs.
Im looking for somewhat pistol grip, multi shot, 22, scope, Etc.
I find all the names and terms very confusing for novices.
So I just give up for a few weeks.
swarm fox
Buy cheap you'll be surprised in what u get. Not going to lie but a cheap daisy first for 30 something dollars it's accurate then move up from there. It's not just for kids trust me. I'll bust shit out to 50yrds with that cheap lil gun
I believe it would be a more accurate test to leave the sound measuring device in the same spot and shoot both guns in the same rest.
This better video !
That rooster looking for trouble
Why did you cut out of the part when your finger got hurt. We could of all enjoyed it. XD
I’m having issue with loading. Keeps either eating or dropping pellets.
The Crosman pellets did that for me sometimes; however try some different brands and see which fit best. H&N And JSB both do very well for me.
Thanks, however I’d like to know how the scope that came with the fusion performed. Thanks again
They’re very basic but work; I definitely recommend upgrading to something that is airgun rated and has some form of mildots for holdover. I’ve tried a BSA mildot reticle that works very well on these, too.
@@TheDollarSportsman thanks. I’m just being reintroduced to air guns after 40 plus years. Cheers
Hi bro . Thnks fo u r videos
Witch one is best in swarm series
Fazil Razik you’re welcome, brother!
That’s a tough question: I really like the new generation technology but have been successful with the Maxxim, Fusion And Magnum.
Right now, I’m looking forward to the release of the Gen 2 Swarm Magnum: it’s the most powerful and most engineered break barrel Gamo has come out with to date.
The Dollar Sportsman thnx
Gamo magnum better than othe 2 right
Right now in the world, I believe having a reliable, accurate and powerful Airgun is a necessity. Since the Magnum is the most powerful of the three, I recommend it.
If you don’t need that much power, then the Fusion or Maxxim would both be excellent choices.
The Dollar Sportsman yes got u bro .thnx bro
late to the game but maybe try sound suppression test 5 yards in front of the muzzle. where the squirrel would be. could be considered quieter due to redirecting sound away from the target?
Kenneth Rogers good call, plus we need a better app 😆
In air guns, sound suppression is most important in your neighbors not calling the cops on you (even greater distances). At near the speed of sound your target won't hear anything until right before they're hit. Most prey animals freeze.
Be cool if they release a magnum in the new swarm fusion 👍🏻😁
I saw what must have been an international catalog or proposed, because I swear there was a Magnum model in there (as well as several other models I had never heard of). I’ll have to ask my GAMO contact to see if he knows.
The Dollar Sportsman thats awesome keep us posted 🙂 great review!!
@@TheDollarSportsman I would be interested in the Magnum as well
I chatted gamo regarding a swarm magnum gen 2 and they said currently they only have fusion in gen 2. Hopefully in the pipeline. I want 1300fps :)
which is the best pellet for the swarm fusion
Crosmans seemed to work well in mine, but my good friend Ben at AirgunWeb mentioned that RWS pellets seemed to work the best out of his.
Every barrel is different for some reason. There is no 1 perfect pellet for a certain gun
I've got the varmint and yes crosman pellets are definitely the best for gamo guns. I've tested damn near 15 different kinds of and the 10.5gr heavies work ok for that extra power. But best groups i got was with crosman wadcutters putting pellet inside of pellet. Nothing better than that at 30yrds
Dollar sportsman which one would you choose for hunting
Henry Hughes both :); they back about the same power. Now that being said, the Fusion has some clear advantages: 1. You can use iron sights if you’d like, and 2. Its sound suppression is better by a few decibels.
is the performance better in the fusion?I have a whisper fusion mach 1 in .22 and I want to get a swarm fusion gen 2 but the cost is a little too much. I can't decide yet between the maxxim or the fusion. any suggestions from other airgun owners?
admin istrator admittedly I think the Maxxim is just phenomenal myself. If it’s a cost issue, you can’t go wrong with the Maxxim. The Fusion has a bit more power and technological upgrades (magazine, sound suppression, ergonomics, etc), but you can’t lose with a Maxxim :).
@@TheDollarSportsman Would you say that the $70 difference is worth it? I use mine as pest control/hunting/backyard plinking. also, the maxxim is a 5 yr warranty right? And does it have the 3-9x40mm scope with finger adjustment turrets?
admin istrator the upgrades with the Fusion are certainly worth it in my opinion from using both, but the reality is that the Maxxim is still a fully capable rifle on its own. I believe all new Fusions come with the magazine that prevents double feeding, as well (I could be wrong).
I just love them both 😆.
@@TheDollarSportsman all right thx. love ur review
@@TheDollarSportsman oh and is there a difference in fps? would you recommend the maxxim or the fusion for night rat hunting
I like the 10 shot mag but i dunno about the reliability with all those moving parts...
So far the Maxxim has held up to my abuse; I’ll see how the Fusion does as I continue to use it.
@@TheDollarSportsman Wanted to follow up on Nicholas's question if the gen2 has held up and also ask if gen1 is more reliable than gen2 or about the same?
z4xarhis so far so good to both! I’m not the gentlest when out in the field with them, and both have been absolute troopers. I’ve been using the Swarm Magnum my last two trips out, as well: each one handles and performs flawlessly.
5:27
lol
most new and improved fishing lures are redundant; excellent for catching fisherman though
Gamo now has a Gen 2 Swarm Maxim that incorporates the lower profile. That being the case, is the Fusion worth $100 more just because it has iron sights?
Stuart Gray it isn’t just the iron sights; the Fusion incorporates their enhanced sound suppression system and more ergonomic stock. All in all the upgrades are awesome, but it all depends on your budget.
@@TheDollarSportsman Cool, these are the differences I was curious about. However, the suppression seems to be the very similar according to your test, does it not?
Most of the noise is from the piston power plant. When that piston slaps forward it really is like it's own bang. They need to somehow incorporate a sound dampening material around the power plant inside to truly make these things whisper quiet.
Or some kind of rubber insert
Or can couzy foam
Great review! I’ll pick one up if I can find one. Do you think it is worth it to get the magnum version?
Depends on what you're shooting at. If you think you need an air rifle that can take down wild hogs... you probably actually need a real gun.
Which good?
how could you test the sound of it outside? you should be inside to avoid unwanted noise
Air gun suppression is more about your neighbors not thinking that you're shooting a real gun in the neighborhood. You're looking to avoid a swat team not high decibel "toy" gun sounds.
Guys the app for sound uses the mic on the bottom side of the phone please reverse the phone next time when you want to take the readings
My maxxim doesn’t have that 10x mag design. It had the same design as the fusion
Every shot out of the swarm maxxim sounds like its tumbling
I could be. My guns gen1 feeding system was denting the skirts bad and you wouldn't know unless you inspected every shot. Luckily you can remove it and still shoot.
Nice review ... one thing of criticism.. when comparing sound you have one of the Guns sunk in a sandbag which obviously makes the action more quiet..... that is a big mistake on your part
I want to buy this gun
were these the .177 or .22 ?
These are all .22
Reviews of 22 note bad groups and crummy scopes beyond 25 yds.
Maybe a 200 break in might help the groups.
More data please??
After 200 the groups definitely began to tighten and then started loosening; I didn’t realize what was wrong until I felt the stock bolts. They had worked loose; once I tightened them down, I got back to accuracy :).
nice how much better is the swarm fusion goes to the maxxim
I like the ergonomics, sound suppression and Gen 2 magazine system on the Fusion over the Maxxim, though admittedly I still love the Maxxim 😆
No chrony??
The fookin' roosters are 125 decibels. ;)
Right?! Loud little buggers
heavier pellets give less sound. 10 grains or higher out of gamo whisper is almost silent
Does the gas piston get quieter after several hundred shots?
What’s different between swarm fusion 10x gen2 and roadester 10x gen2 ?
Nothing. Same gun, different names.
FPS difference?
That's the gen 1 Maxim. I think. The Gen 2 Maxim probably would be a better Comparison.
How much ?
Rate
gamo swarm fusion shooting slugs ?
Chrony,Chrony, Chrony, and yeah and chrony, did I say chrony
Here in the pilliphine it will cost 500 to 600 dollars
I bought the gammo replay 10 gen 2 loading mechanism broke fell apart in less than two months waste of money
You need to design a gun that shoots dollar bills. Market it and sell it to desperate men who love going to strip clubs. 😂
The fusion has a bigger piston dummy!!
when see,,,😔
In bangladesh
Goes to show you the app don't work
I’m
Good 5.5 mm🔫
which cal?
These are both .22 cal
cool. thanks! 👍

Why you testing gamo and advertising Umarex???
Waste half the video with decibel testing 🙄 chronograph man!
hay maxsim ok 👍 ???
I want to buy this air gun....me from India...Bharat
"You think"? Better to record db numbers down and move on....🙄
