I’m 10000000% convinced Nissan just wanted the non-Japanese man out of thier company.
Haven't you read? They didn't want the French to irreversibly merge both Nissan and Renault. It was all so political that they had to take down the man tasked to do it for good.

@jameshaida3140 let me educate you: human testimony is a documented evidence against tyrants. When you keep the light on foe days in a cell without heat hoping to Crack you under pressure and them tell you sign here and you will be out . That is passive aggression and indirect torture. I am not sure where you live but here on the west, the law and human rights are taken seriously . The judge is normally unbiased and just. He doesn't work for the prosecution. The eastern culture in general have a real hard time applying human rights. Look at China or Russia for example. The state is run by one dictator and bunch of corrupt gang around him who carry his agenda. There is a reason that the all the populous in other countries are dying to immigrate to the west risking their life in the process. Japan is a wonderful country but their judicial process is a reflection of old rotten system that assumes the suspect to be guilty until proven innocent.
The forgotten man in this whole saga is the most interesting in my opinion. I hope he is well and enjoying his freedom.🇬🇧✌🏽

Nissan wanted to go back in time. They've forgotten that pre Carlos Ghosn, they were in billions of debt. Are they sure they want to go back to that time?

Nissan would be up there but quality took a nose dive after Carlos. I’m sure we’re talking about more than 140 million in unreported income.
Wonder why Scotty also ranks Renault, Chrysler, Mitsubishi and Nissan as the worst? What turns once respected brands to produce unreliable low quality vehicles? There must be billions we’re talking about.
Japan is one of the safest, efficient and cleanest countries in the world and conviction rates are high because most investigation is completed before arrest.
I’m sure Greg is not guilty and am sorry for his trials but he can’t be blind to the conglomeration of Carlos related companies producing the worst crap in their respective histories.
Scott Kilmer is a joke. Gohsn was bold and ahead of his time . He had a vision and his track record proved it . Cvts that Nissan first put in their cars are now almost in all Japanese manufacturers. Carlos is for innovation and change and was first. NISSAN lost a lot more when they assassinated Gohsn and Kelly.

I concur, but will add more. Hari Nada was the Oliver North of this coup-scandal. I have to disagree with Mr. Kelly on the idea that mid-level execs where the originators of the coup. That would be like saying Oliver North was the sole conspirator of Iran-Contra is naïve at best. Like Ollie, Hari was merely following a new directive from the higher levels, which probably was the board and/or shareholders who wanted to get Ghosn out, since they probably felt they could get rid of an expensive middle man like him out of the picture allowing for more Japanese control over the merger as well.
Bloomberg's video about Ravinder Passi discovery of dirty deals made by other execs is worthy of watching.
I disagree with your assessment of the Japanese legal system, no American would ever find that tolerable or just by our standards.

Greg reveals at 1650 of the video that 2 of Carlos’s ideas would be worth 100 million and paid for itself as a consultant.100 million as a consultant or active CEO is criminal.Everyone knows Japanese CEOs make far less money than their counterparts in other parts of the world.The focus there is the company.Of course the Japanese mid level managers are going to view it as criminal and rightly so.Greg must have had his head up his ass for 30 years if he didn’t know the ramifications of that kind of ridiculous deal.When he saw how much Carlos was making he thought the gravy train had arrived.Carlos is well known for his extravagance and the money it takes to continue that lifestyle.Greg,in my opinion,would have been greatly compensated for putting that consulting fee into place for Carlos.The Japanese had other ideas.
