I’m not fatigued of superhero films, I’m fatigued of bad films
I'm fatigued of horrible people acting as heroes.
Or bad actors
How many times can you watch hero’s save the world? It’s every month, “we gotta team up and save the world” and they always do. Wow, amazing.
Ezra killed it you people are so fucking toxic
I don't think it's superhero fatigue, it's bad movies with evil people playing good guys trying to make films with garbage messages and telling people the movie isn't for them but that they are -ists and -phobes for not seeing it. people would be happy to see movies if they were cudgeled by Hollywood all the time.
Honestly superhero fatigue isn't even a thing to me; it's "the message" in the last few years.
Definitely a thing for me.
These movies just devolve into a playstation cutscene with a bunch of shit packed EVERYWHERE on screen
@@neonswitchbladesame here. They made it worse with their “THE MESSAGE”. But I had pretty much burned out on the genre by 2019. A great time to check out. And I have.
Yeah it's really more fatigue for shitty writing rather than super hero fatigue cause I'm still hyped for the boys and Invincible
For me it is
I’m not fatigued of superhero films, I’m fatigued of bad films. Finally. Hopefully Hollywood will start investing in original blockbusters again..
That’s never gonna happen.
@@bengilhooly3616 It can, when 5 more superhero movies will flop. They are stupid, but not THAT stupid.
I’m sick of blockbusters I’m sick of special effects driven spectacle films why can’t they just go back to simpler story driven edgy films? I want more 90s style films I’m tired of this cliche’d genre and “heroes”. That’s why Joker was a kick in the ass it made billions and it was just a simple character piece.
The Flash was kinda good. Its different and over-the-top but I can see how people would be sick of Superhero movies if they saw more of them than I watch
That's what I feel like. If they make movies worth seeing we would be fine.
It's not just superhero fatigue. It's also the fact that some of us haven't forgotten that Ezra Miller is a garbage, psychotic, terrible human being whom if not for being a Hollywood celebrity, would probably be in prison right now because of his antics.
This reminds me of the "zombie fatigue" from awhile back. We weren't tired of the zombies - we were tired of the s**t writing surrounding the zombies 🤦🏽♂️
Exactly!
I really hate it when people start saying superhero fatigue, zombie fatigue, apocalypse fatigue…
It’s simply not true!
People are just fed up with bad films pushing crap that we don’t want!
@@JackEverton101 Once a genre starts doing well you get all the executives with zero imagination seeing it as a guaranteed way to get easy money so they green light every garbage script that comes along, while the goal during production becomes that of getting something out of the door asap to cash in rather than making it good.
@@trolleriffic ain’t that the truth!
And then you add some politics in there and some messaging and they’ve hit the trifecta
Same with the vampire fad.
I'll drop my 2 month old baby on the floor and watch superheros fighting zombies right now. Just kidding I can't remember how old this baby is. Wait it's just a pineapple.
Let's just hope that after this Ezra Miller will not appear again
Oh he'll appear again... Inside another kid that he groomed.
Nah let's hope he appears... inside prison behind bars.
He could appear in a jail for sure.
He is jewish, he is basically immune to consequences. I invite everyone here to look up Leo Frank, so you all get an idea, who the enemy is and what they are willing to do toget away with ANYTHING.
@@JohrnyReporttrue facts
Another problem is that not nearly as many people are going to the movies any longer. For one thing, it's ridiculously expensive. A night out with one other person easily costs $75 for tickets and snacks, at least in NY. It has to be something special, like Dune or Avatar for people to be willing to even bother.
"What, no one watches our great superhero movies anymore? I guess people just not into movies anymore" In this age its sad you are literally shocked when you see someone take responsibility
Its crazy the producer said "movie is so good it will make you forget about Ezra Miller's crimes"
Pin this
Huh, I thought it was the costume designer who said that
Disgusting. That's how deluded Hollyweird is.
It's crime time
It did make me forget about it because you cannot take your mind off of the bowl of spaghetti you are watching
It's not superhero fatigue. It's the fact that people are tired of having our favorite heroes mocked and deconstructed on screen, not to mention the incoherent stories and cringe humor.
Facts 💯
Multiverse madness is too much as well. It is stupid. It doesn't raise the stakes. It just makes everything feel pointless.
Reading further comments, I see nearly everyone saying the same thing about superhero fatigue. Awesome.
That and them continuing to allow criminals and such to work for them. Cant wait for Aquaman to flop because of Amber Turd.
And they take iconic storylines and butcher them. Batman V Superman was part death of Superman, part dark Knight returns, and a justice league prequel. With The Flash, they take his most iconic Flashpoint paradox story and try to safe bet it. They had Wonder Woman, they had Aquaman, they had all the pieces as far as Jeffery Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan. They could have done a very faithful story.
They butcher and run through all these storylines that we're left with a mess and nothing else to adapt 🤷♂️
And Keaton would have been better in a Batman Beyond movie imo.
I honestly enjoyed Shang Chi, the fight scenes were amazing imo
Agreed
Yeah I didn't know Shang Chi was a bad movie until this fool made a video telling me it was bad.
@@ski69bum apart from fighting choreography, its a bad movie.
spider-man was always the superhero we could all relate to. his problems with girls, money, jobs, college. this also worked for lot's of heroes during the 70's and 80's. you don't see that any more today. The infinity gaunlet had nothing to do with a universe which could not provide for all it's living beings but had everything to do for the insane love of mistress dead. Hollywood fucks up all the great stories. the superhero fatigue will dissapear when the stories improve. that's why i loved jessica jones so much.
I am still amazed at how the super hero fatigue continues to hit movies such as elemental, strange worlds, little mermaid and more.
It appears to be more a matter of corporate production processes than genre.
@@andywellsglobaldomination I'm pretty sure he was ironic... those are some of the worst movies made recently with a woke agenda and terrible plot
@@andywellsglobaldominationcorporate fatigue, people is tired of overbearing lawbreaking hypocritical corpos that tell the people how to be the ideal citizen.
Lmao it's not superheroes it shitty movies in general lol. Anyways I'm gonna go watch Jurassic park 3
Yeah, and don't mention how super hero fatigue hits Bud Light too 😅
IT ISN'T superhero fatigue, it is alienating your audience and shoving a social / political message down their throats.
yup
It's not down your throat........
Yeah.....that's not good...
yeah, that's why Joker made over a billion..
O how you forget the 80s action hero movies are no more. Just like the Superhero movies are over. The genre is done.
What social or political message are you even talking about?
I must have seen a different Shang Chi because it was one of the freshest super hero movies I've seen for a long time and I really enjoyed it. One of the few films where I say the cinema visit was actually worth the experience and not some overpriced garbage.
Keep these fantastic truthful videos coming! I appreciate the work you put into these and I’m glad I’m not alone in thinking that Disney has ruined one of my favorite childhood universes
Normally when a genre undergoes "fatigue" it doesn't mean that the audience is tired of it, it means that the writers have run out of ideas.
With Superhero movies there are almost a century of content. The writers aren't running out of ideas. The problem is that they decided that they wanted THEIR ideas and their ideas are crappy. But they won't give them up because they refuse to admit that they aren't as good at coming up with ideas as the original writers of the source material. Much like how Amazon thought it could write better Tolkien than Tolkien did.
Isn't there like 50+ years of Marvel comics stories to tell? Maybe the writers should just stick to the script they have, rather then try to re-invent the wheel with their own take on the characters.
@@michaelpollock3029 The first Superman comic came out in the summer for '39. Marvel is newer than that, but DC is coming close to a century of content now. And they both have SO much to work with. But instead Marvel looked at the failed run of "replace the hero with tokens" comics and said "that didn't do well in comics, but I bet it'll work. All the other woke trash movies have been huge successes among my personal group of friends here in hollywood."
I got tired of it. Once they started pumping out shitty shows on Disney Plus i was done
Literally almost a century thats wild to think theyre so up their own ass they cant just be humble and find some good ones out of all that time. They would rather vomit on the page and call it art.
I grew up with comics and have 3 kids who used to watch these DC and Marvel movies. No one in this house cares anymore. Fatigue? Yeah. I definitely think it is widespread.
People are sick of the phony virtue signaling. WB cancelled JD to “believe all women,” yet they ignored the many women and girls Ezra abused. They fired an innocent man, and rewarded a guilty man and I felt really bad for Michael Keaston. Because he always wants a really good comeback as Batman again, but sadly... Warner Bros and Ezra Miller and Amber heard ruins it. 😥
George Soros son will pay 1bn USD for Ezra to get another lead,. Even if they get losses. The Biden admin will refund that money to Soros.
JD was not innocent. Not by any definition. The rest is accurate tho
What was he guilty of then? Please enlighten us…
Hypocrisy at its best
@sandos101 As someone who has been through what JD has been through. His relationship with Turd is very reminiscent with my own. Him standing up for himself doesnt take away the fact that he's a victim.
I loved the call out for Extraction II. It was pretty good, and I feel Chris H. pulls the part out well.
For several years now I’ve grumbled, “great, ANOTHER superhero movie” each time one emerged. Hollywood’s milked that teat so hard it’s drawing blood. I was surprised though to hear ‘Shang-Chi’ was considered a flop: I quite enjoyed it!
There isn't a fatigue for any genre happening, it's a fatigue of being told everything you love and everything that makes you whole is bad and wrong.
What do you mean? Specifically as it relates to the Flash I mean.
I'd half agree. There is a superhero fatigue, as when you make too many of the same type of movies in a short period of time you're not making a specific Superman or Spiderman movie you're making a superhero mess movie. Can't have good quality for that much quantity in that much time, even if it was without any woke bs it would suck, plus 90%+ of people watching are non comics reader so they will eventually want something else to watch
Then what your hero should be able to do, has to be done by a woman over and over. It's old. The heros they are showing, they slighted all the Mary Sue archs, so why the very "fresh" heroes, all Mary Sues, retconning the crap outta entire franchises to fit these heroes everyone decided sucked amd let their respective comics fail as they should have.(side-eye at Ms.Marvel)
@@richardcharles4126 - I gotta dissagree, a good film with super's in it is still a good film, what's missing is the good part. So called experts say this film is going to be a hit but the public don't judge films the same way as critics do. Critics see how complex the lighting was, how that brand new type of CG they used turned out or how varied the location was and dozens of other things that the critic's nit pick over that the rest of us do not even notice because we are not directly looking for them, we only see the end result but the most important part is how did the film make me feel. Was the story engaging? Did it blow our minds? etc etc. All those give us an emotional attachment to the film. Like did time feel like it just flew by and then at the end did you wish the film would keep going for a lot longer? It's these intangible things that create strong emotions that make a movie "good" or not. We know a good show when we see it, no one has to tell us it's good we just know. I mean would a westen sell well today? Of course it would "if" it was an original exciting story it just couldn't fail. Variety is the spice of life after all so it's without question that hammering any genre to death will never be a good idea. But don't stop completely, as there's no need too, everyone I know still loves scifi again it's the good part that's missing. And for gods sake hire your actors based on there skill alone "do not" pick actors base solely on there race or sexuality alone, this a massive mistake killing many shows at this time. Also people hate to be taken for fools so taking beloved character and replacing them with another race, sex or sexuality based of what some random heavily biased organisations thinks is in trend is a garrenteed PR disater just waiting to happen. But isn't everything I said a no brainer? If not, why isn't it?
I tend to agree, I don't think there is such a thing as franchise fatigue, I think their is such a thing as shit movie fatigue and a series of bad films in a franchise with break down brand trust, but make a good movie with the right marketing and people will go and see it
I think calling it "Superhero fatigue" serves to imply some level of responsibility by the audience. I think terms like, "script incompetence", "message hammer fatigue" or "human arrogance personified" are probably better descriptors.
Correct. It's not my job as a viewer to remain attentive. It's their job to make movies worthy of my attention.
Likewise it's not my job to suspend disbelief. It's their job to create a plausible world with rules logical enough for me to believe.
Did the floating islands in Avatar make any sense? No. But the rest of the movie was so cool I didn't care. They built the most visually realistic alien planet ever.
No, it’s definitely fatigue. Stop making these trash films
"Forced wokeness" lol
I agree 💯
We will never get tired of stories we are just tired of terrible stories
I just rewatched Daredevil and I was clinching the seat, tearing up like starwars theory, and I'm still pumped about born again. Sorry superhero fatigue isn't the problem.... its superhero quality
Well said! Daredevil tv series is / was awesome!
I agree I liked the Daredevil Movie
Love seeing you grow, man! I would say that I am personally not superhero fatigued, I am woke fatigued. Give me a good superhero movie/story and I'm all about it. It's just modern fantasy for me, and if they could make something original that was good or something that was true to the source material I am sure they'd see the money flow again. They'd rather push an agenda and try to shame people for being normal and not wanting beloved character to be destroyed than created something original.
It’s now more convenient to talk about superhero fatigue rather than corporate message fatigue. Protect the message at all cost.
In the end corporate will fall back to the $$$ of it all. I think a lot of companies are looking at bud light and having second thoughts these days.
unless they're setting up shop in china, russia, or the middle east, then the message doesn't exist
@@user-qg3nj1sv8j In this case I couldn't if I wanted to. I don;t drink crap beer so I can't vote with my wallet in this case.
Woke crap
You said it right Johnny
People responsible for Flash removed Henry Cavil, you can expect the same level of intelligence for this movie.
In all fariness Flash really wasn't a bad movie. It wasn't fantastic, just solid OK imo. I feel like this BTS shit with Ezra Miller was what really hurt it.
Henry can't save nothing his character was ruined in batman vs superman too much Frank Miller in zack
He needed to be removed. Zack's version was terrible. It was bad enough that Pa Kent suggested that maybe he should have let kids die, but then when Clark let his dad die, I was done. Gunn didn't want that tainted character in his new version. I like Cavill, but removing him was the only intelligent thing that could be done. Besides, fans showed WB that they didn't have much interest in Cavill's return when they didn't go see Black Adam.
I loved all three movies with Henry as Superman. For me, the movies were perfect and closer to how I see Superman. Id love to see him again as Superman
@@happzy I didn't go see The Flash because of Ezra Miller, I don't understand why all this bullshit gets tolerated in Hollywood but I'm never supporting it personally.
It's not "superhero fatigue." It's bad writing fatigue.
The more they deviate from the source material; the more they fail.
The decline in their market draw lies behind the force messaging, horrible adoptions by writers who don't understand the genre.
You cannot write about heroism, virtue & righteousness if the concepts are foreign to you.
I don't want a past comic book story turned into a movie.
I want new and original stories with these heroes.
@@dhenderson1810 This but a good one. Writing is weak with Marvel and most DC movies.
Writing, and throwing 'minorities' into everything for VSPs (virtue signalling points).
Screw the source material or majority of western audiences.
KK was right. The force(ed messaging) is female.
Woke fatigue
What type of hell do we live in that Ryan Reynolds is not allowed to improv lines in a movie series that he pushed so hard to get started in the first place.
The advent of the MCU was an incredible experience for all those kids that grew up with Marvel like myself and the fact that for once Hollywood didn’t take something and change it, Iron Man was Iron Man straight from the comics, incredible and it snow balled from there each movie hitting the Mark culminating in what my personal favourite is Captain America The Winter Soldier, great writing, great script, great direction and then somehow it all turned to shit like so many other things in Hollywood and you just know that writers and directors were being hired not for their talent but for their political stance, ideology and diversity. It happened everywhere, Picard season one and two were complete dogshit, The Rings Of Power another disaster.
The thing I can’t understand is why would any company keep blindly going forward in a direction that was losing massive amounts of money 🤷🏻♂️ it doesn’t make sense. My theory ? You may need to put on a tin hat, I think they are being funded by the global elite in order to influence society which, let’s face it, is what Hollywood has been used for, for years.
Unless the management structures are full of the same ideologies and they just hire all their friends, who knows ?
I don’t think it’s super hero fatigue I think it’s shit movie fatigue !
>they are being funded by the global elite in order to influence society
This is absolutely correct. They need us to be obedient puppets rather than free-thinking human beings.
The globalist goblins want a sl-ave-race to do their bidding, and we are not having it.
Everyone including the studios knew the Flash would flop before it was even completed. They held it back and planned to release it on HBOMAX, the changed it to a theatrical release and hoped for the best.
Calling this "fatigue" shows why Hollywood refuses to change: they don't acknowledge the problem is not in the audience, but amongst them. People are telling them constantly, but they feel more comfortable searching for guilt in the public.
Exactly, until they realized "the fault lies not in their stars but in themselves" (to paraphrase the great Billy S) it will never get any better
The beauty is you yall cant see that your elite HATE you and are doing this on purpose you think with all the brilliance dey have dey can not actually make good movies? HAHAHAHAH.. you are going to be forgotten and the new generation is going to watch the movies and think dey are great just like the music of nowadays compared to the 70, 80s, 90s, early 2000's.. same thing with your generation it will be forgotten..
@@HuemanSmoke well let’s see how that theory works when these kind of movies are constantly flopping…
If you stretch that logic a bit you get, "It wasn't my fault that people died. I just shot them. It was them who died."
@@LautaroTessi Your elites have TRILLIONS of dollars do you know how long it takes to spend one trillion? If you spend 1 million every hour 24/7 you wouldnt run out of a trillion in 411 years... so? Do you think you can outlast them? Your elites are also making sure that children are now transitioning into the opposite which is male to female and female to male..
your society is falling and crumbling before you know it all yall older generation are going to be gone and the new kids on the block will take it over your elites are starting in the schools with their programming of the minds of your race their children.., this is "white culture"
I am still hesitant to call it "Superhero Fatigue". More like Superhero Misuse or Abuse. The fans as well as the normies still want to see our favorite heroes. But watching what Hollywood is doing to them is like going to your friends house only to watch helplessly as their spouse abuses them in front of you.
Get rid of the activists, bring the crisis level back down towards street level, and focus on one movie at a time instead of trying to plan dozens of projects ahead, and I think things would turn around.
Superhero Fatigue is proven bullshit by Spiderman movies making bank in recent times.
Great analogy!
I want to see more gory and bloody superhero movies. Like the Boys and Invincible.
Imagine being a grown-up man and unironically watch this capeshit trash lol
There is no superhero fatigue
There is only bad/mid superhero film fatigue
Gotg vol 3 and ATSV were massive successes
It's at a point where I i hide my smart tv remote whenever I have guests over, simply because it has a dedicated Disney+ button.
Forgetting Ezra’s crimes was the claim the producers should have never had made if you watched the movie.
My theory is that Superhero movies are an "escape" from daily life.
Making them "woke" takes away that escape and forces you to face
all the post-pandemic problems that are currently going on in the world
and people no longer feel that there is any reason to rely on superhero
movies for an escape anymore when we have real life villains running
the govt and these movies only further remind us of that when they
turn them "woke"..
Imagine being a grown ass man and unironically watching this capeshit trash as escapism lol
TRUTH! I wonder what audiences 20-30 years from now will think of these movies if they ever watch them? 🤔
Except Spiderverse. It’s killing it at the box office
@@JohnDoe-sl6di That's only because the wokeness is much more subtle, it's still woke af
Yeah I remember Superhero movies were my way to escape reality, to see how faithful they can adapt to the big screen, to see them flying and making explosions. Instead they're now making them more "relatable" and more "human" which to me completely defeats the purpose of watching them in the first place.
Disney's been really unlucky recently, to run into "Super Hero Fatigue"
at the same time as "Pixar Fatigue"
at the same time as "Star Wars Fatigue"
at the same time as "Live Action Remake Fatigue"
And on top of all that, "Indiana Jones Fatigue" is going to set in AS WELL - Roughly two Phoebe Waller-Bridge lines into its runtime.
its not fatigue, we are all tired of SHIT WRITTING AND SHIT CGI
No more interest in lame hype? Bruh.
there is no Indiana jones fatigue though. Its just commonly agreed upon by indie fans that the first 3 films were great. The crystal skull not so bad but was chucked do the memory hole so fast a 5th movie wasn't even necessary. Super heroes, Star wars, pixar, and live action remakes have all fallen out of favor for pop culture. Hollywood can't write good films anymore with any cultural staying power. Audiences are now looking for anything new that doesn't fall too far into the Hollywood ideological mold.
Me: Oooh i don't feel so good i ate 12 bags of chips in a row... Burp...
Disney :Here, this'll fix you up! (Throws a KS bag of chips at me.)
😂 this is a winner right here. I'm pretty sure the two people replying above me did not get it. Not even a little 😂
“Superhero fatigue” isn’t a real thing right now. People love watching their beloved superhero stories come to life.
The real problem involves the politics that fans have to swallow with their entertainment. We’re tired of criminals playing our heroes, inaccurate depictions of our favorite characters, and hollyweird’s false sense of superiority.
I refuse to subject myself to a third act of AI models punching each other through buildings.
I knew you would come around to my way of thinking.
Nah, it will be fine.
Great minds think alike!
I don't think it's just superhero fatigue, I think a lot of it is they are constantly telling us comic book fans "these movies aren't for you". I think the normies are burned out, but for us die hard fans they have just pissed us off too much. Too much politics, race swaps, and strong wahmen. Seems Hollywood is just too stupid to actually adapt our favorite stories to the big screen.
You hit the spot fucken A+
Yeah, if it were truly superhero fatigue then you would assume this would affect superhero manga and anime sales, and yet My Hero Academia is very popular.
@@helsby1797 you are right, not on our own. But if you make a true comic adaption (which are also good stories) you will get both demographics. They have seemed to push away both comic fans and people who just want to see good movies
Very much agree. And though HW is thoroughly stupid, I think its the high ESG score they're chasing
Except in a few very rare cases, most of what you said is just people being overly sensitive.
I really felt the fatigue with Love and Thunder. That felt like a two hour insult to the fans and comics in general
“It’s easier to blame the audience” - needs to be carved in stone.
I don't think it's Superhero Fatigue, I just think we're all tired of what these movie companies are doing to our beloved heroes and franchises.
trash fatigue is what we have.
Yeah, but the producers see themselves as great professionals. Sure, they may underestimate the potential of a movie from time to time, or think they have a real blockbuster and have it only perform well, not great - that's due to the huge number of variables involved. But an expected hit turning into a real flop? Must be something external. And if that happens more than once, and the similar movies that didn't flop only perform so-so... it *must* be genre fatigue, what else? Noone can predict when that will happen, so no fault on their side.
You think they will admit that "the message", crappy writing, complete lack of respect for source material and deconstruction everywhere just for the sake of it might have caused that? Keep dreaming. It's genre fatigue, period. They'd have to admit to mistakes and change their approach - that won't happen, you'll get a search for a new cash cow genre instead. And some frustration that it's not going too well - because they'll reuse their "correct by definition" approach in everything they do.
I was ready to spend money on the flash in theaters before someone told me about the stars personal issues. Leave it to hollywood to not cancel one of the few people on earth that actually deserve it.
Endgame name was the biggest foreshadowing since "I did not have relations with that woman". It was the endgame for comic book movies. There is crapfilm fatigue as we have some hits but nowhere near what it was.
The Marvels will have a female Ronan The Accuser. The writers can keep striking forever.
I love this guy and his videos!
So glad i got him recommended mudh love ❤
I just watched Hulk 2008 for the first time in years and yeah it’s not the best movie but I absolutely enjoyed the whole thing and it dawned on me. It ain’t superhero movies getting old, it’s super hero movies sucking more and more.
@pavilionbug Really? I have definitely seen much worse and also enjoyed 2008 Hulk. Simple fun action...or are you talking about The Flash movie?
@@pavilionbug I can see why people wouldn't like it but i'll take twenty minutes of rage induced nonsense than the jolly green dickhead we have now
Nah it's def both.
Honestly, I think Ezra Miller is the biggest reason why the movie failed. I personally knew a LOT of people who outright refused to see the movie because they “didn’t want to support him.” So they essentially boycotted it in protest. I firmly believe that’s the biggest reason why the movie flopped.
More like WB has been fucking up for so long that people just stopped giving them the benefit of the doubt. A lot of organizations are starting to fuck up this way.
That's why I won't go see it. I really want to, but I'll wait till it hits RedBox
What did he do to alienate people like that?
That and the film looking like fortnite in the trailers
They didn't want to support *they*.
No penis on that zer, no siree. 😅
Superhero fatigue is one of them for sure. But I'd like to put forward another reason: The moment Endgame came out, that was the end of a massive story alot of people were invested in for a decade. When Ironman and Captain America had their endings and goodbyes, that was the end of the cycle. The majority of people, those who aren't comic book fans, were only invested in the story that started from Ironman. Probably why other superhero franchises didn't do as well.
You can argue poor, message-heavy or agenda driven storylines sure. But those arguments come mainly from comicbook fans. Those who never read the comicbook or aren't fans of comicbooks were only invested in the first Avengers story and once it ended, many left. So in a way, to many people, its not really a superhero fatigue thing. People just didn't actually get into the genre in the first place.
I don’t think superhero fatigue is a thing studios just making shit superhero movies tryna be woke
It’s not fatigue it’s hating what they’re changing, what they’re allowing and why they’re doing it.
It's not super-hero fatigue, it just the Snyderverse fans have left the building on DC, it kills me that no one can see that or give us any credit. It's a straight up ignorant statement to say the Snyderverse flopped when it actually made money. JW JL $666M, MOS $668M, Suicide Squad $774M, Wonder Woman $817M, BVS $872M, Aquaman $1.1B. Everything with the exception of Joker and The Batman, after the cancellation of the Snyderverse the DCU box office went off the cliff. But nobody sees the connection? I think the reason Shazam did so poorly was because the way it is advertised like it would have too much comedy and DC fans are different than Marvel fans, we like our stories tones dark and with tension. Shazam is a good movie and the comedy was like a family movie instead of all the agenda and stupid slapstick comedy of the MCU. DC pissed on their core audience's head but they are going to learn the hard way like Disney is now.
@@ibramblebush i totally agree with that they could’ve kept some quips in there as billy was as a kid but SHAZAM has always been mostly mature when he is in battle
Exactly! We’ll never get tired of superhero stories we’re just tired of terrible stories being told
Bad story telling, unwanted agendas, taking out what makes these characters great. Flash a science genuis with a light hearted attitude always looking to find the positive out of the bad. Superman a hero that inspires and encourages citizens and other heroes by his bravery, confidence, unwilling to bow to please everybody, value, respect towards creatures both on earth or other worlds. Batman some good stuff shown before, but have failed for many years to give a Batman who is both highly intelligent, a brilliant detective, escape artist, a mentor figure and a good fighter. They take out a fourth or more of what a number of these dc and Marvel heroes are actually like in the comics and act like they are worth a billion dollars to watch in theaters.
I watched the last 20 min. of this movie and its not that bad. I goes hard for the super-meta shit and I dont know where you can go from there, the final joke was funny with Clooney showing up though
This is hollywood fatigue. People are tired of being talked down to by companies with, in some cases have straight up evil business practices. The bad films and hero replacement are just icing on the cake.
And the "actors" can always find work dressed as Nazis attacking the Proud Boys. So there's that.
Actors coming to hollywood to make a movie just for the money they don't care about their audiences I they care about is them and keep their money growing.
I don’t have superhero fatigue, I have poor product fatigue. If Disney released Marvel films in the vein of Winter Soldier, Guardians, Civil War and infinity war I’d go to the cinema to see them and buy the Blu rays.
I’d like to throw my hat in the ring and say: it’s more than just “superhero fatigue”. Movie goers in general, seemed to have become jaded by multiple flaws of western cinema. The poor writing, cramming various politics into recent films, the relentless sequels that reflect Hollywood’s creative bankruptcy and crutch on nostalgia, viewing audiences to be gullible enough to fall for such nostalgia bait, not creating much content that’s new; having to sift through most of the bad, recycled, low effort stuff to try and find the few fresh ideas of creativity. Insulting their loyal fans that had been with them for years but probably aren’t now anymore. And, another flaw that may be their greatest mistake as many entertainment companies are doing now: catering to smaller demographics and communities which alienates and chases off fans, that make up the majority of their profits in millions of people, and gain a trade off of making millions of dollars off of millions of fans for, making a few handfuls of pennies from some people that barely consume big companies’ content. It’s pretty much what’s happened to Disney. They ran off their fans, and unwittingly chose to make pennies from hudrends of people, instead of billions form the fans they scared off. Now, Nintendo and Universal, (along with Illumination) are gaining the fans companies like Disney lost.
It's not Superhero Fatigue,
people are just sick and tired of political messages being force fed to us, through mediocre writing and even worse story telling.
The message wouldn't even be so annoying if the writing was good. But it's like they go hand in hand
Agreed
The way the DCU treated it's big name stars in favor of Miller is what puts me off.
I don't like his running style, his lack of acting and many other things about him. Grant Gustin does a far better job of The Flash than Miller ever could.
And the whole Multi-verse plot is a sign the writers realize they have screwed things up and want to reset everything.
Yeah I see you point
The Flash didnt have any political messages and still bombed hard
There are no political messages in those movies, conservative grifting CZcamsrs like this one is just telling you there is. And then you believe them
I've got "multiverse" and time travel fatigue. It makes everything pointless and removes all stakes. It's become tool to appease so everyone can have somebody who "looks like me."
.....why is he constantly saying miles morales 2. We get it he's the newbie but dude he's still Spider-Man. Just call em Spider-Man
From someone who doesn't watch many superhero movies, my kids wanted me to take them to this movie and I thought it was pretty good. 🤷♂ But how does Hollywood justify spending so much money on these movies expecting to make their money back and more?
Kinda hard to go on box office numbers when most people these days would rather stream a movie from the comfort of their own home, and with so many pirate websites out there streaming new movies for free, I can't really blame them. Who really wants to sit on sticky seats, listening to someone else's brats throw a fit, while paying $10 for a soda?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's not "superhero fatigue" it's bad writing fatigue. Superhero movies aren't the only movies bombing in Hollywood, they're just the most pronounced.
yeah I hear there is a writer strike going on etc perhaps those people should find another line of work
@101spacecase It wont matter if the same executives are in charge that make the writers scripts worse!
Exactly. Superhero movies _could_ still be great. They're just being made poorly.
All the fancy writing in the world couldn't get me interested in these lame characters like Moonknignt?? and...." Blue Beetle"
@@glendegroot8403 One could have said the same thing about "Guardians of the Galaxy" but it proved that a good story will change that idea!
I don't have superhero fatigue,
I have Hollywood fatigue.
Honestly Hollywood has audience fatigue, it's getting harder for them to pretend they like us.
Absolutely. They only like our money, they don't care about telling good stories anymore.
The problem with entertainment today is everyone creating and acting are narcissistic and untalented
They are activists not entertainers
People want to be entertained not preached at

Recap by Tammy AI
I am not fatigued by super hero movies. I am sick of being force fed someone else's 'idealized' and 'improved' super hero who is the character in name only.
I would watch a Flash Movie, if it was actually a flash movie and not just someone's talking point. Also, if the actor playing the character didn't commit crimes leading up to the release
Can you explain the agenda they had or are u just talking out of your ass?
Not to mention if he looked and acted anything like Barry Allen
I think it’s more of 60/40 on superhero fatigue and not telling captivating and amazing stories.
The bad stories and franchise management preceded the fatigue... I think whatever fatigue that has manifested is largely due to not properly engaging audiences anymore without nostalgia
True also, since covid its harder to get the audience to go to sub par movies.
That's what I said, keep the politics out of the movies and just tell good stories and we will watch them
So you're saying that if that if the movies were as good as the first GoTG for example, we'd still get bored of the three to four Superhero movies that come out each year? I call bullshit, and you know it. It's 100% bad movies and storytelling.
Yeah but I am so done with Superheroes that I never want to watch another film about them, good or bad.
Superhero Fatigue is real. To say otherwise is a John Campia level of cope.
Holy crap I didn't see any of those and I don't feel like I'm missed a damned thing
Thanks for reminding me that the the “T” in Amber’s last name was usually silent.
It’s amazing that it’s easier to call it superhero fatigue rather than bad storytelling.
That’s because it’s superhero fatigue…
@@deadschooled Cape "stuff". I used to debate this with my besty. A super hero is just so simple. Now they refuse to write good villains. What is left? A hero needs a foil and they can only strawman things they don't like.
@deadschooled You might make that argument if a good superhero movie did poorly but we are not seeing that. Thus the argument fails.
its easier to shift blame, than too accept responsibility for failures, when you are a narcissist film maker who surrounds themselves with "yes men"; too afraid or morally bankrupt too tell you the truth.
@@deadschooled no dc was never going and marvel ok but fell off
No superhero fatigue here... The way the movie is written and how the characters are handled kills me !
Its just typical to blame failure on something not their fault. I personally would love more superhero films, but I don't want genderswapping, raceswapping, forced LGBTQ insertion, forced feminist propoganda etc. Although it's hard to pull off now that those things are already more and more prevalent in comics.
The editing suffers too

Calling it superhero fatigue is basically saying it's not the studios and writers fault that these movies are not performing well but ours.
It's not "Superhero fatigue"; It's Gunn's "DCU fatigue". Unless you find a match that fits better than Superman on Cavill with great writing, DCU is doomed.
Superheroes are not over. People love the idea of heroes on an epic scale. Hollywood simply doesn't understand what normal people view as heroic let alone super heroic anymore.
Yeah. We just love seeing heroic heroes fighting against evil, adversaries, or whatever they're fighting against. Action is one of those genres that somehow just can't die.

He is also been involved in child grooming scandals the pedo (Google it) he is a disgusting entitled peice of trash. The fact that Hollywood won't cancel him yet they have cancelled actors over tweets is unbelievable. It's not a surprise, those who know, know. Your either in the inner circle or not.
Yeah. And a guy who in real life is abusive and violent and aggressive towards women in public doesn't make a hero normal sane nice people want to have to be subjected to on the big screen....or any screen.
Extraction 1 & 2 are prime examples that the traditional male hero lead will always be a big hit to audiences. Heck it even has a female co star that's bad ass but isn't woke and has feminine traits and it works (Niki's role was originally planned for a guy btw). Will be supporting Chris Hemsworth even more now.
So they gender swapped the second main character. That is woke as fuck. Fuck Netflix
Damn those movies are a breath of fresh action.

Crazy isn’t it?
Superheroes aren't appealing when they become one OF a million instead of one IN a million.
Like who cares about Dare Devil in a world where there's Superman?
It's like they had one collaboration issue & overused the hell out of the idea.
If this were about ‘superhero fatigue’ then the other Disney movies wouldn’t also be failing. This is about ‘the message’ being shoved in our faces at every turn. I’d love to see more superhero films that followed the source material, but they’ve proven they can’t/won’t do that, so I’m done. That’s true for just about everything else out there.

I remember when cgi started looking real. I was so excited as it meant stories could be done justice. Superman would actually look like he's flying instead of laying on a table in front of a green screen. Now I miss the old ways.

I don't think it's superhero fatigue. I think it's woke and bad story fatigue. That's what it is for me.
We used to have heroines that didn't require the virtue signaling that a lot of current films exhibit. The underworld and tomb raider franchises come to mind. Lara Croft and Seline were female empowerment fantasies as much as guys like Vin Diesel in the Riddick franchise. It didn't need the fantasy spelled out to justify itself. They could just be cool and inspiring.
Imagine being a grown ass man and unironically watching this capeshit trash lol
Just watched Batman 89' with the commentary the other day. We need some superhero movies like that again. No cgi. Practical effects. Not a cgi crapfest that makes you dizzy and disinterested after 5 minutes.
CGI is fine but it has to serve a purpose. Two examples outside of the superhero topic. District 9 which helps drive home the homage to Apartheid and Dune which uses its CGI to help define the rules of its universe.
Nah that movie is hella overrated
@powwow3 I agree. I'm just complaining of the overuse..
It was good but nothing spectacular. It did open the doors for more darker comic book movies. The best live action Batman movie is still TDK followed by The Batman
I’ll watch Steel again before watching The Flash any day. 😂
I don't think it's fatigue. If Marvel just copy and pasted phase 1 marvel movies with the same attention to detail, without dipping their toes into controversial topics, I'm pretty sure it'll still do very well.
The start with Michael Shannon expressing his confusion was hilarious. It just sums up the flash movie in a nutshell like - “really?” 🤦🏿♂️ 😂😂😂
I watched the last 20 min. of FLASH waiting for Indiana Jones 5 to start. Both movies are very high in "Wat the Fuk" content.
I don't think it's superhero fatigue. We've been telling stories about an ordinary man or woman gaining power and saving humanity likely for thousands of years. Those stories tend to inspire us. I think it's fatigue with crappy writing. It's an interesting twist to give one of these heroes some flaws maybe making them very flawed where it blurs the line between hero and villain. Spawn for example does a good job with that. When you make the characters it's so arrogant or so annoying or so unpleasant that you can't root for them it just turns people off it's hard to mess up that story.
Couldn’t agree more with you my man!
And there’s proof to back this up, the Spider-Man movies, guardians of the galaxy three. these movies made money and were well liked superhero films. proving that if you make good content we will go and watch it!
And it’s all thanks to their track record as to why people won’t go and see their new films. They butchered so many that came before there’s simply no reason to trust them not to do it again!
Yeah I agree, you can point to many things but I honestly think it comes down to just bad writing like you said. The Guardians of the Galaxy 3 and Across the Spider-Verse is sorta proof that people aren't entirely feeling that super hero fatigue. Yeah I'm sure there are some that feel that way but at the end of the day these movies are badly written.
the fact that the highest grossing summer blockbuster is only 20 million should be a flag and by no means be a means of celebrating. That's like having a 60 average in school and being proud of it and wanting to put that report card on the fridge.
It's not Superhero fatigue, it's THEIR hero fatigue that's the issue. Hollywood is changing everything about long time well established characters. Each hero (male and female) are molded by their experiences dating back before they even get their powers. These characters represent success overcoming hardships and growing and maturing into HEROES. ANYONE in today's society would automatically go the road of being a villain if the obtained superhero powers. Superheroes persevere regardless of the difficulty and they don't do it for money or fame, they do it because it's the right thing to do. Superhero stories bestow wisdom and moral ideologies. Like Spider-Man's uncle Ben quote, "With great power comes great responsibility". However, these leftists promote the concept of just giving up and blame others for your problems and exploiting ppl's compassion for free stuff instead of WORKING to EARN stuff.
