In this video I show you the steps involved to diagnose and fix a Dead or Bad 12v accessory battery on a Ford Mach E and F150 Lightning. In my case it was a bad cell withing the 12v battery that was not allowing the battery to charge.

Your video helped me out. I have a 23' F150 Lightning. Mine didnt drain to the point yours did where i couldnt open the car, but now i know its definitely the 12V. It suggests that i keep the vehicle plugged in changing to maintain the charge, but it would still die and stop my charging session. Taking it in soon so they can give me a loaner car while i wait.

Next time try a battery booster to boost start on the jump starter post, open the door and start the car within 10 seconds, once dc dc is on, at least you can drive until car is off.
Learnt in a hard way with f150 lightning, but the f150 12v has bms issue, battery itself was fine

My mache is having the same issue. May I ask how long did it take to replace the battery?

It took about 3 days to get the battery shipped from the USA to Canada. I recently had some more issues and had a part replaced. Stay tuned for the follow up video. Subscribe and hit the notification bell so you don't miss it! Thanks for watching and the question!

Bet you wish you had and old fashioned key and door handle to open the door with now don't ya. Why they thought they had to do away with a real door handle and key is beyond me. Battery goes dead and you can't even open the hood to get to what you need to get to. What was wrong with the good old fashioned hood release lever and cable. Worked for the last 100 years flawlessly.

So you didnt see the + and - on the plastic panel?? Thats where you jump it. The manual is full of information!

I didn't want to remove all the paneling to access the charge points when there was an easier location. Why the charge points aren't accessible through a weathertight access point is beyond me. There are plenty of videos and blogs on how to add this accessibility, and it may be in an upcoming video so stay tuned! Thanks for watching and the comment!
