    Stumbled upon your battery from the Lightning forums. I don’t trust the stock 12v battery . I’m hoping replacing it with your battery will help make OTA updates more reliable. I’ve stopped receiving some and I suspect it is related to the 12v. I had the hybrid f150 before the L, and they had issues with the OEM batteries as well. Thanks for the Lightning content. I love my truck! It’s been absolutely fantastic in the last 8 months.

      Yeah, you are right, in some of our videos we do mention this strategy but we lack consistency sometimes.

    My OHMMU failed at 6 months. The company won’t allow returns

    Do these batteries work well in Cold Canadian Winters? -40 deg c?

      Depends on where you are storing the car overnight for those -40deg C. We run our tests generally down to -30 C. But that's the temperature at the battery itself, not ambient temperature which is always colder. if you have ambient outdoor temps of -40C as overnight lows but you park in the garage the battery likely will never soak internal temps below -20 to -30 Celsius, and that would be just fine. If you are planning to leave the car outside in that temperature for extensive period of time where the 12V is gonna cold soak that low, then I don't think an EV is a good idea, period. Not only from 12V standpoint but because the large battery pack is even more sensitive to the cold and will be burning enormous amounts of energy to keep itself warmed up enough for safe operation. Our newer batteries are all converting over to self-heating technology too though, which will allow for use in that scenario anyways.

    What is the amp hour capacity of the OEM battery vs the Ohmmu battery?

    • @OhmmuEnergy
      @OhmmuEnergy  Před 8 měsíci

      Hard to make a direct comparison b/c the 2 are of differing chemistries and Pb-Ah and Li-Ah are NOT the same thing so there isn't a direct answer to this without digging in really really deep and technical. A simple answer to this question, is a wrong answer, in other words.

    All electric vehicles should be sent to the crushers
