Does this affect music with lows. I used to have one, it was great with rock/Mex music but made my hip/hop sound shitty.
Was it me connecting it wrong?

It does affect rock & Spanish very favorably. I can help hip hop if done correctly. I'm more of a straight bass guys personally.

Hey thanks for the review. I was wondering if you could help me out a bit as I'm barely starting to get into sound systems and there's so much out there that I don't know if I'm going in the right direction. So I have an 03 expedition and I blew my stock 8" sub. I bought and had installed an aftermarket pioneer head unit. I am going to replace the stock sub and amp with a Skar VD 8" D2 400 RMS and an 800 watt amp and 4 Gauge wires. I was thinking on also replacing the 4 speakers and getting a 4 channel amp for them. Would you recommend I get the epicenter as I do listen to mexican music a lot. Also in the future I might add a 10 or 12 inch box. But for now I want all my space in the truck. Any other stuff you would recommend or things I might need? Thank you.

800 watt amp with a 400 Watt RMS sub? for some reason that doesn't make sense. Maybe the amp is rated at 400 watts RMS?
As far as an epicenter goes, that would be a good decision. I would sound deaden the doors and the would be a nice start.

@@lancesautovlog I am not sure about the amp, my boy is going to let me borrow it while I decide on which one I want to get. 800 watts is too much for the 400 rms on my VD 8 but he did say it was adjustable not sure if that's true or not. Will that amp blow my sub?

@@lancesautovlog hey how you doing so as stated previously I got the Skar VD 8 D2 that is rated at 400 rms and 600 watt max. I got a 4 Guage wire kit and the epicenter micro. My boy is letting me borrow his amp its the JL audio RD1000/1. Is this amp too big for my sub, will it blow it.

I was thinking of getting a epicenter along with a lc2i when I install my system. You think the micro would be a better option since the loc and epicenter is all in one? Or you think the epicenter is really not needed and jus go with the lc2i pro? I guess I could always add a epicenter down the road. I jus liked the epicenter, I'm jus not sure if my 5th gen ram has bass roll off which I don't think it does cuse I don't have a factory sub or anything jus basic stereo.

@Lance's Auto Vlog thanks, basically I'm adding a system in my truck. I have a factory head unit so I need a line out converter. I was looking at the epicenter and seen the micro an seen it was both built into 1. Do you know if the epicenter knob is turned all the way down, will the music jus play normal as it was originally recorded? I don't wanna use the epicenter all the time but jus here and there on certain songs. Thanks for the help I appreciate it.

Great job! I have a 2021 f150 with a LC-4. 800 amp. I also have the BLAM RS 10-4 with MTI box behind the seat. The installer wants to use the HAT U10SW-S (D4)
10-inch shallow subwoofer, as I'm not satisfied with my BLAM sub. I've suggested a shallow JL Audio sub, but he thinks the HAT is better. What would you suggest? I listen to hip hop, country, all types of music.

Honestly I’ve never heard the Hybrid woofer, but the brand is good. I would tell you go with the brand that you feel most comfortable with. It wouldn’t hurt to test the hybrid, if he’s willing to let go to JL if your not satisfied. My 2 cents.

@@lancesautovlog if you don't mind, what do you think is the best 10" shallow sub under $300.00? I have front panels running BLAM components. The plan is to replace my sub as I mentioned, and run a separate amp specifically for this sub, and the current amp would run the front panels and tweeters only
