    if you never tried the wavtech bassrestor it’s probably the best bass restoration processor that comes tied to the epicenter and sounds just as good. it came out before the epicenter micro and it’s cheaper and i love how both bass and epicenter effect are built into one knob and you can control both with ease on the fly, and having the subsonic for the wavtech makes it such an ease instead of buying a chip and replacing it to get those lower frequencies. i had it and gave it to my friend tho but because i wanted to stay with my jp23 amp knob with the voltage so i just got the actual epicenter to use the knob separately and tbh there wasn’t really a difference from both, they sounded similar and the bass coming out of both with the effect on sounded so good compared to cheaper copies of bass restoration.

    I listen to mostly rap, corridos, norteno, tejano music. I installed a cerwin vega bass processor and i love it. Adds bass where there was no bass in the songs but it won't really work on most rap songs. I read that rap songs have bass already so the processor won't work as good as on other music types but thats not all rap songs and sometimes makes rap songs sound worse. Hell, it will even add bass to country songs, but if your bass head i highly recommend getting one for your system for the music types above except rap imo.

    Will the wavtech accept the input of a sub channel on an existing dsp amp as speaker level inputs? I have a JBL DSP4086. I attempted to use its channels 7/8 (subwoofer) speaker outs connected to speaker level/RCA adapters, and into a stronger amp as direct RCA connections. I'm having issues with peaky bass and no dynamics. I was looking at the epicenter micro, but the wavtech looks to be cheaper and does more. Also will this cause any distortion or clipping, if used with non bass heavy songs? • @JasonWW2000
      @JasonWW2000 Před rokem

      If you can feed it a signal of up to 1,000Hz it should work fine.
      Any bass boosting device has the potential to clip the input signal as well as the amps output. This is where you need to set your amp gains properly and also just don't drive your subs past their excursion limits. Your sub and amp can only put out so much bass, don't force it to play more. If you keep things under control you should be fine.

    • @cdshawn
      @cdshawn Před 10 měsíci

      If you're going from your head unit to an EQ the bass restoration should be the first thing the head unit sees... Then to the EQ and / or crossover cuz this thing boost up your signal-to-noise ratio and it makes your head unit sounds better

    ahh the epicenter...the most inaccurate device known to mankind ...puts frequencies where it shouldn't be and never was there and never was supposed to be there in the first place...dumb piece of equipment..there is no RESTORATION ..there is just adding lower frequencies from reading the harmonics of the high frequencies and putting frequencies where really there shouldn't be any...this is often used for idiots who can't play above 64hz and their mids don't play below 180hz ....typical car audio people..you are loud..you are sub bass heavy ( 60hz - 40hz ) but you go no range ...64hz-180hz and thats where the bass is on old music ..

    Oh, so it "adds" non-existent bass. I see... what a stupid gadget then. Not falling for this hype.

      It's only for music that lacks bass like he said Spanish music does, but with the epicenter it sounds amazing.

      I’m Mexican but back then my dad would also use epicenter with Van Halen music. If it makes sense.

      Stupid is acting like you understand something while incorrectly stating how it works and having no experience with it first-hand. It takes existing harmonics in the signal and duplicates them 1-2-3 octaves lower. It's not a stupid gadget, if you tried it you would understand. Your system would sound better and you would feel the bass more. But whatever.
