I got a special surprise in the mail from my friends at Audiocontrol! How epic is this? WOW! As you might know if you are a true basshead, the Epicenter is world famous and has been around a LONG LONG TIME. They just sold their 1,000,000th unit and to celebrate they made 5000 individually numbered limited edition Epicenters! Only ask cause you set your frequency first(first knob) then your sweep half way (2nd knob)

I've always loved these I've had a few white and dark gray I actually need one now they work great on 70s r&b and smooth jazz.

Epicenter changed my life. I was done with subs cause I listen to mainly rock and country - spent years trying different amps, power, boxes, tuning, subs etc I was finally done ✔️ and decided to try an epicenter!
I listen to Mexican music and my system bumps i introduced to my friend that jams rock and country he loves it he be rocking now 😂
Every Hispanic has one of this on there sound system including myself it’s one thing our parents always taught us to have on our cars

Used to have one of these back in the day. Loved the knob.
It is a digital signal restoration device. When music is broadcast for radio, or is put into an mp3 file it gets compressed. This looks for digital artifacts in the bass end of the frequency and digitally re-creates them.

I got me a AudioControl Epicenter Limited Edition too and will do the same thing, framing it! I have #402 or 405.
Will definitely need to set the subsonic filter. This unit will feed your subs the bass it needs especially if you made or have a tuned box tuned lowwww. I have a 32hz ported enclosure w/ X-12 v.3. The bass in the Old school rap never sounded soo good!! If you listen to old school you’re missing out. I was skeptical as well and finally pulled the trigger, soo glad I did. No more rebased songs from CZcams. This sounds waaay better and cleaner!!

Have the basscube myself, different things of course. Always enjoyed having one in the system but unfortunately havent ever been able to d a back to back comparison with an epicenter.

I really love my epicenter, it does wonders for 1980s Freestyle music such as Nu Shooz, Brenda K Starr, etc. Also great for some funk.

It was to my understanding that this unit does not increase output voltage , only re filter music that has been previously filtered .
I'm just trying to figure out , if I do need to reset gains , that's no problem . Just would like to know the procedure for that.

so if a box is tuned to 30hz set the sweep on the epic center to 30hz? sorry its confusing

It will always amaze me every time I see any type of cnc table and watch them cut something out and how precise they are. It's crazy how far technology has came. I thought I was the sh**. Back in the day when I brought a plasma cutter back when they first came out.

I use a Stetson processor in my system whose parametric EQ has the same adjustments as the bass processors. You can select the frequency in small, visual increments, adjust it's bandwidth and boost and adjust the volume of that channel in the level settings... what's so different besides a bass knob? I'm considering buying one, but I'm not seeing the benefit if that's all it does and I already have those capabilities that seem to be more functional
tbh having a dsp like what you have is all you need cause you can adjust pretty much all frequencies and crossovers to how you like it and the quality sounds even better with one but idk if it does the same thing like an epicenter. cause the epicenter doesn’t boost anything it pretty much just restores bass that’s not there in some songs or that gets lost in the file after it’s done being produced in the studio. i never had a dsp but that’s what an epicenter does lots of people think it boosts bass when it doesn’t it restores and they end up messing up they’re subs cause they don’t know how to set it up correctly
