    If you listen to old music where the low frequencies were mastered out of the recording the epicenter is the piece you want. It looks at upper harmonics and recreates the missing low frequencies. It is not a simple bass boost.

    got this in the mail yesterday and I installed it and I am truly impressed, by far the best audiocontrol epicenter I have ever owned. This also solved my issue I had with the epicenter plus...I was experiencing an effect signal when the knob was completely turned down, i dont know if my two sundown 6k's liked it.....the micro solved that problem and the bass knob giving out a clean signal....5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

      Was thinking the exact same thing. I'm running optical to a DM810, which means my Epicenter has to run after the crossovers which is the reverse of how it should be. Yes, I can and do run the crossover built into the amp, but it provides less control and shallower slope than the DSP has. And as we all know, Accubass is not the same. Honestly I think the Epicenter is more useful given the varying recording quality and compression used in the last 2 decades.

    • @JasonWW2000
      @JasonWW2000 Před rokem

      The epicenter needs to be fed a full range signal and the output is going to be fed into an amplifier that has a built-in crossover in it. So to work in your focus you would probably have to tap into the front door speakers in order to get a full range signal and then feed that into the epicenter and the output would then go into your aftermarket amplifier with a built-in crossover.

Also when giving sound demos its nice to have full Bass volume control. Luckily for me since posting this question, i have since talked to a tech guy @ Audio Control, and he said that this dual function Bass knob control on the micro, can be turned ALL the way down= Awesome, and the other thing that is Awesome is the PFM on this micro when set to on= 20Hz (Hpf), and set to off= 10Hz (Hpf)! As i wanted to buy the indash epicenter, until i heard that, as i have a very low tuned enclosure, and play lots of songs between 15Hz and 29Hz! I really wanted to be able to use that Db meter, just for fun, giving demos. But that 33Hz Pfm would totally kill what i designed my enclosure to do. Yes and no. It adds ability to change the Q and the center freq. Most parametric EQ can only select center freq. Best thing is it creates bass where there is no bass. There is some music where the bass is just very low. 80's/90's rock and Spanish music. Also takes your wild bass tracks to even higher heights. My advise try one and see if you like it.

      What do you mean by need? Do you need a subwoofer? No, but you probably want a subwoofer. So the question is really whether or not you want to have the additional low-frequency bass that's not in the original recording.

    Can i use both the high level inputs and RCA in it and it’ll just switch to whichever input is providing the signal or once highlevel is hooked up it won’t pick up signal on RCA’s or viceversa?
    And does it HAVE to be hooked up straight to the subwoofer amplifier? If it works from 160hz down i’d think my 8” midbass playing down to 60hz could also benefit from the Epicenter effect if i go from Epicenter into DSP and then into sub amp, No??

    Apparently you cannot use Brasilian amps with this epicenter,,.. I believe powerus is the one accept up to 7.5 v.. but powerus amps are overpriced way too much,, that's why I ended up getting the deaf bounce apocalypse 4900.1

      This epicenter micro is not a line driver, it will only output as much voltage as you put into it. So it should work fine with any amplifier

      @@truckinwithkev2022 hello there!! Yes you can actually manipulate the epicenter for better performance and match the output with the amp, BUT taramps requires only 0.250 millivolts Wich is barely a touch of the gain, because your headunit puts out 2.0v so by the time you adjust the gain is already clipping, even tho you have clean signal from headunit, eq or DSP.. taramps didn't work for me, I'm happy with my 4900.1 deaf bonce apocalypse Wich accept a up to 8v.. BUT I'm really interested in slaps audio amp 8k.. for under 500 bucks it's a deal

    10:46 For this kind of music the Epicenter was surley not build. Take a music example with an electronic bass. Then you will hear, or in case you have a subwoofer that can provide some dB more than in this example, feel where the epicenter is [the Epicenter is known to sound the best in combination with panpipe music ^-^].
