Steam gets hot enough to cook soft baked goods and you don't need a "Turbo Cooker" to do it. I taught a group of teenagers how to make cupcakes and muffins in a rice cooker that had a steam try set in the top. Cooking cake in a mug in the microwave is a similar concept.
Okay but you DO realize that’s still another item to buy right?
My concern was okay we're going to put diet cola in the bottom of a pan and you're going to turn that on and heat that up like btb RTS bring to boil reduce to simmer right so you're cooking off all the water is that thing going to just be nothing but like burnt caramel pop. EW. Not a good smell. Luckily it didn't.

Poor Matteo...I feel like we need Nick to do this recipe with the Turbo Cooker too. Just for comparison. They're also moist from being steam cooked. I think scientifically we need more recipes cooked in the Turbo Cooker to make sure she wasn't totally lying to us.

it needs is to be tightened from underneath. Maybe a new gasket or something. Also, in baking, oil is typically added to facilitate the cookware and isn’t actually about the food at all. I love these videos, direct from my childhood.

The soda trick is basically exclusively how I make box cake. It’s vegan friendly for one in my case, but also disability means making food as easy as possible is the way to go. It’s fine.
So have you ever done the substitution substitute of applesauce, when baking? if you don't mind me asking this since you're vegan. 👏👏 what the hell is vegan margarine? 😵💫😵 I hope that doesn't come across as I'm being rude or possibly as an attack. @@whatsmyprintedname applesauce works in most things. Just notes it adds moisture so especially for in muffins for instance. Margarine by nature is vegan. Some brands add whey which is not vegan.

Kathy knows the secret that the boxed cake mix industry doesn't want to tell you. You actually don't need to use oil, eggs etc because they are complete mixes. They added that stuff onto the back of the box because people preferred having to add something into the mix lol

It's actually so funny that she decided to not add oil because it's "healthier" but people routinely use oil instead of butter because it's healthier.
Also incredibly ironic for her to then add a whole can of diet coke.... INSTEAD OF WATER. I think oil and water would have been fine health wise 😂😂😂 but to add a whole can of sugar is hilarious
Also soda is used at times to make certain things, so I'm not surprised it worked out!
Diet… there’s no sugar.
No sugar, plus the carbonation is what's necessary to make the recipe work.
