I love my "magic immersion blender" for apple sauce and some soups...but it definitely does not replace anything much. Even their little recipe book is all about making smoothies with it. Y'all, I cannot make a smoothie in an open air container and hand masher...I need the closed blender thing.

Honestly one of my childhood pet peeves was when I made the unnecessary effort to stay up through the night seeing what would come on at 3 in the morning only to be held hostage by a 2hr commercial for wrinkle cream or something.

As a Brit I can tell you it really didn’t. Mateo sounded like a cockney (London) and this guy is def from the north west, prob close to Manchester.

Okay but real talk, the magic bullet was some next-level shit and to this day it is still my preferred blender. I don't have a full-sized kitchen, I have a tiny kitchenette. The magic bullet being so small, and also allowing you to use the blending vessel as a drink container all by itself is amazing for saving on space. It's unironically a great blender too. It's rare for as seen on TV products to actually be good, but I wholeheartedly believe the magic bullet is one of the few exceptions. I stand by that frickin' magic bullet. Great little appliance.

I'm the opposite of a hoarder, I throw everything out...but one thing I've kept with me for 30 years is an expandable fishing rod that my Grandmother bought from QVC when I was young. She passed away shortly after and keeping it is my homage to her. It is still in the packaging and I will die with it.
If anyone wants to have something they love ruined for them just have Matteo tell you about it. His delivery was perfect.

The original Magic Wand blender got me too when I was younger. It was called the "Kitchen Mate" and the lady whipped skim milk with strawberries and made peanuts into peanut butter in the can they came in. I thought it was amazing. Little did I know it was just what we call an immersion blender now. 😀
Thanks for pulling up the modern day pricing of the magic wand. At first, $60 didn't sound bad. But then, after adjusting for inflation, I was like "OMG For that crap???"

Gurl, I have an immersion blender and I use it all the time. Homemade mayo is fantastic and you can change the flavor all kinds of ways. Great for soups and sauces and I use it to make tomato sauce for pasta dishes.
Homemade mayo is fucking amazing and you don't get any soy or preservatives in it. My immersion blender has to be one of my all time favorite Christmas gifts

I was the proud owner of a slap chop, a sham wow and a revo styler…the only one that actually worked was the sham wow but it was like a one time thing cause then what do you do with it… the other two disasters the slap chop was sooo disappointing 😢😂

The thing is the stuff they served the actors probably was good because it was actual whipped cream and mousse they made 12 of before the shoot. The prop guy sure as hell didn't use a magic wand and skim milk for that.

magic wands are still pretty common in portugal. my parents had one, it was just to make soup. but like, you cook everything first, so it's all soft, and then you use the wand to liquify everything. when my mom was still alive, she had trouble eating and so everything had to be in soup form, and so i'd make the soup, and then add some minced meat, and use the wand to make everything into a liquid that was easy for her to eat. but it was never used for anything else, it was just to make chunks "disappear"
