I have a 580C no breaks at all, been driving it like that for about 4 years, thought about doing this job but thinking I should just run another 4 years.

Very well put together video my friend. Thank you for doing the video. Did you ever figure out where those two little side gear oil seals go?

This is incredibly helpful stuff. I just bought a 1987 580 super E (SE) the right brake isn’t working. I’m betting this is the issue. The tractor is being delivered tomorrow so I’m going to look into it and see what’s going on.

It's been a while since I completed the repair. I wouldn't want to give you bad information so I'm going to have to say I do not know at this time.

When you get a piece of equipment that you don't know full about it's maintenance. Replace all seals. Void if you buy it new.

Any suggestions to get that screw out if it won’t budge? I’ve been spraying them, tried turning with a screw driver, bought a big screwdriver attachment for my impact gun, and bolt extractor. I’m going to hit it with some heat but the heads are so mangled now I’m left with drilling it out or welding a nut on to hopefully get some leverage.

Email me your phone number and I’ll give you a call. I’m not clear if it’s the one screw I’m thinking of or more than one. Deputypost@gmail.com

how do you get the brake shafts out that your brake assemblies go on so you can instal the new seals?

That is a question far beyond my expertise.

I know there are reasons you may want to consider removing the splined shaft on either side of the differential, but I would not begin to unless the loader was simply inoperable.

Correct, I used TractorStuff Website. You can find them at www.paintvalleyequipment.com/places/tractorstuff. Ask for Dale, he was a great help.

When in doute of seals. Just replace them. It's best to have a safe piece of equipment than one that might fail during a job. And cost you thousands vrs a couple of hundred.
