    Good information thanks for the video had been looking for the fill on the transmission

  • @sevanson1

    don't forget to bleed the hyd tanks via forward plug (left side -up front of frame) while filling. this is because the loader framework does not sit level with the loader bucket on the ground, trapping air in front sections of frame. Once filled to the bleed plug, insert bleed plug and then fill to the full level plug at rear (which you show). Backhoe in travel position.

    Thank you so much for posting this video! We just purchased a 580CK diesel for building our modified Earthship Biotecture style home in Northern Nevada. I need to order up a manual and do all of the filters and oils changes. She's not perfect but if she stays running - we'll be able to get things done. I just blew a hydraulic line on the manifold yesterday...this mornings job...repair! Blessings!

      I had to look up what a Earthship Biotecture home was . I was not familiar with it. Sounds amazing. I wish you the best in building your home. I had a lot of trouble with hoses and cylinders when I first got mine. I kept fixing the issues and kept going. Now the issues are much less frequent. Good luck and thank you for watching!

    My Rossa Injector Pump was leaking too. When I went to remove it, I broke off one of the mounting bolts and was having trouble getting the bolt out. Everything was still attached, and in a rather desperate attempt to not leak fuel in the middle of a project, I covered the leaking area with bearing grease. I thought it might get me through my project. But what happened was much better, the grease must have given new life to the O-ring that was leaking, because my leak went away.
    So if you are getting leaks around the Injector pump, you may want to give that a try first.

    • @FishHuntCookTinker
      @FishHuntCookTinker  Před 2 lety

      That is good to know. Somehow mine completely quit leaking as well. I started cutting the fuel off when I parked it. That seemed to be when I noticed it leaking the most. One time I forgot to cut it off. I came back a few days later and it was not leaking! No leaks since. Thank you for commenting and watching!

    Did you end up rebuilding the rossaMaster injector pump? Mine started leaking out of every fitting so I gave it a shot. It was really easy. Just have to make sure you get the correct rebuild kit. I ended up with 4-5 kits because they seemed to be missing a few parts I needed. Double check the pump model number. The Injector tubing holds the pump in the factory timing position so be sure not to bend and tubes.

      I had a hard time finding it as well. I have been using Traveller Premium Universal Tractor/Trans from Tractor Supply. When I first started using it years ago the label said alternative for TCH. Since then I think they changed labels. Works good for me.

    Quick question for ya what are the other frame resiviors used for under the one you filled with hydrualic fluid ? The plugs are located up closer to the radiator. It looks as tho they are hooked into the return lines for the hydrualic pump. Im asking cause im trouble shooting a no hydrualics issue with mine and when i took the return line off the pump there was no fluid in the line i traced it back to those arm resiviors wich are also empty but the one you showed on here is full so im confused any advice uou have would be greatly appreciated

    • @FishHuntCookTinker

      Thank you I tried to cover as much as I could and not make it to long. Mine only has trouble when it is cold. First thing when it is cold it doesn’t want to pull. I don’t fight it. I just let it warm up then all is well. Mine has the forward and reverse on the column. That is all I use. Hardly ever do I use the main clutch. I honestly try and baby the clutches on mine as much as possible. Thankfully I have never had to get into them, but I have heard it is a job. If it’s slipping after it is warm you could have a issue. Make sure you fluid is topped off and clean. If I remember correctly it calls for Case TCH, but I have always used Travelers Universal. I hope this helps somewhat. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. Thankfully I am not a expert on that yet. Thank you for commenting and watching. Good luck with you new 580.

    I, bought a 1966, ck 530 188 Diesel Case Backhoe has service work done to it the shelf rung off in half inside the fuel pump don't know what cause that to happen then I painted the whole Backhoe cat yellow I don't want to have to keep hiring case service trk to come out to work on it darn if it costly every time I call them out case service trk is a $300.00 service call then after that it's a $110.00 an hour but I had to get them out to fix that

    I just picked up a 580. Wondering how easy are they to flip over? Feels extremely top heavy and almost shit my pants every time I roll over a rock or log

    • @FishHuntCookTinker
      @FishHuntCookTinker  Před 3 lety

      To be honest I have no idea. To truly know I guess you have to flip one. Don’t feel bad I soil my pants every time too. It is the one thing I have never gotten use to. I still swing my bucket to the side on steep inclines. As well as plan my paths out carefully. I have had mine what felt like very close to flipping a few times. It always held and never showed any signs of turning over though. One of the biggest things that changed the way it feels is the seat elevation. For years I always kept the seat up high. I am 6’4” and liked the leg room. One day I left it down low and it felt like a different machine. I may be crazy but it really changed the feel for me. Still makes me clinch at times, but makes me feel better. I am not sure if all these machines came with the same adjustable seat post or not. Mine goes up and down a good foot or so. One thing I have noticed is if the back tires are lower on air it feels a little worse. Seems to rock a little more. I hope this helps somewhat. I appreciate you watching and commenting!
