  • CASE 580C Right Brake Reassembly Tutorial Part 2 of 2, DIY Brake Replacement
In a previous video I dis-assembled the right brake of a CASE 580C. This included removing the axle differential lock that engages both the right and left wheels when a plunger is depressed on the floor of the loader. What I found inside the brake housing was an oily greasy mess. After cleaning up the parts I removed I reassembled it. This video is a tutorial of that reassembly. If your interested in other CASE 580C tutorial videos please visit my channel. Thanks for watching, be safe and be blessed. :-)

Thank you. Very nice video. I am getting ready to start on my own 580C project. Will be looking at your other videos for sure.

You mentioned in one of your videos about changing the gear oil in the trans-axle. and the oil looked red/pink and dirty when you pulled the dipstick. It also had way too much in the transfer case, it came way upon the dipstick. I have the same problem on my 580C, My questions is, do you know how to drain the gear oil and refill with new and what type of gear oil to use? I appreciate any help, I am needing to change my fluid. Also, I found the brake videos really useful and informative because I will be repairing the brakes as well. Thanks

My brake shoes fit really tight on the inertia wheel/drum before I even adjusted the self adjuster. Everything looked fine, but was a tight fit. I hope they sent the correct shoes. Do you have any idea why?

@@GERALD_POST Good news!!!! Had a nice warm day today. Tractor started and brakes worked perfect. Owner says it's the first time in 30 years they have functioned properly.
