Did my 580C brakes (complete) Last year but in the process found my half shaft bearings and gears were worn so a brake job tuned into a differential rebuild which was fun. Some parts like the shims are getting hard to find. I also replaced the tires myself at the same time. Now I am doing a cab swap and paint job.

I've been working on the brakes of my 580D (2WD), and I'm amazed that you were able to change the small oil seal Case part number A146027 on the right side. I am also replacing the inner and outer housings on both sides due to hair line cracks. In order to remove the right stub shaft where this seal rests, I figured out that I would have to remove the tire, the right axle shaft and housing, etc. I quickly decided to forgo that plan. Anyway, you mentioned using a pick, a screw, and whatever else. Do you now have any recommendations for getting that seal out? I'm hoping that you may have learned an easier method. D

Where can I cen those seals? I have looked on Ebay and I cannot find the seal with a metal outer ring
