Thank you for watching, and I look forward to bringing you more exciting projects and techniques in future videos! - Zábava
By the time you factor in the cost of materials, (wood, resin , finishing products, etc), never mind the time, these artists are working for peanuts. I'm glad to just have the opportunity to watch the effort it takes to produce these works of art. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love this piece. This type of wood with a black and gold flake epoxy would be so pretty!
That’s a great combination! I’ll do that next time!
@@CASWoodcraft I was thinking transparent with gold flecks myself. Show off all the figure and irregular surfaces of interest.
Hmm. I've got some weird little knots I've been saving...
the manzanita pairs so well with the blue resin, it’s really a match made in heaven. and the level of gloss you were able to achieve with the finish brings the colors alive.
that’s very kind of you, thank you!
I, for one, adore the shape! Lot of critics on here!
Thanks!
Very nice.
I don’t do many epoxy bowls. But when I do people love them.

Holy crap! That's really stunning.
Lovely ❤

Thank you very much!
Wow awesome work, so beautiful ❤
Thank you so much 😀
Красота ❤🎉
Looks great.
Thanks!
Looks like islands in the sea!
totally!
I love the resin color, and the contrast between resin and wood, but I do wish you had cut the outside diameter down to what your finished inside diameter was to expose more of the burl. I feel making the piece just that little bit smaller would have pushed it to the next level. Have the resin accent the wood, instead of the wood accenting the burl. That aside I still think it's a good shape and nice project. I'm wish I had time and access to a woodshop to learn these skills for myself.
Very nice piece. Just curious as to why you leave the tail stock in? Stabilization? I've never tried this before.
Yeah, it’s a fairly big piece and I had a lot invested in it, so keeping the tail stock in for as long as possible just provided a little extra security
nicely done, but wheres the Pedestal?
Well, now you got me wondering… when I was first starting out in woodturning, I watched several guys turn this style of bowl and call it a pedestal bowl…but maybe they were wrong?
@@CASWoodcraft Thanks I thought it was me. I even googled Pedistal Vase :-)
This is a lovely piece at the expense of epoxy waste.
Cost of doing business, I’m afraid.
Why don't you remove the resin threads as you go?
mostly just lazy! :)
Too much resin and not enough exposed wood
What a waste of a large burl
Yeah Gregsheath, we saw you killing it over there on your channel, you negative Nelly
I don’t see a pedestal on this “pedestal “ bowl. It’s pretty, but there is too much of this color blue epoxy on too many projects on YT. 👍🏼
Many woodturners use the term “pedestal” for any bowl where the base flares out.
Agreed! The use of epoxy in general is over done
Most bowls come out looking like something from a hippy crafts fair
Still incredibly skilful work, just a bit Rapouche
Pbbbbhhhht!!!!😑@@Solid_Jackson
That's not a pedestal.
you may be right. lots of guys making bowls with a flare out in the bottom call them pedestal bowls. what are the technical requirements for something to be classified as a pedestal
bowl?
Uggggg👅
