The second one the defendant’s girlfriend was wrong. She made a false police report and people got hurt. She did waste the police time. That was wrong
She should be held accountable also.
I would have hold her accountable for the whole thing, Primarily because the phone call she made to the police is what created a dangerous situation that without no one of the 3 would have been harmed.
She was doing it for attention, spend time with her boyfriend and she committed a crime

She got anger management, couples counselling and 250 hrs community service. But I agree with you, the other couple should have sued her too and the police on top for telling them to pull over. They knew the couple were there, they put the spikes down despite this knowledge. They knew the car would go out of control in a residential area.

First guy shouldn’t have won anything and he will continue to get hit by cars and sue if things keep going in his favor. He should’ve been in the crosswalk and made sure that no cars were coming. He could’ve lost his life if she really was going fast enough or came down on his head. I believe he is a scammer.

My question would be, EVEN if he HAD used the crosswalk (which was only a few feet away from where he ran across the road) WOULD SHE have stopped then, or would she still have collided with him because she was ogling the hotdog vendor and driving so fast?

In my opinion, the second case should end differently. The engaged couple should be paid by the police who allowed them to park there or to sit inside their cars. The police knew they placed road spikes at that road and that a car can go everywhere after going over such thing.. On the other hand, I think the drivers' girlfriend should pay for his arm injury assuming the police did what they supposed to do to try to stop him before using that dangerous road spikes. That doesn't mean the girlfriend is done. She must face the hardest legal punishment for what she did, cause she sounds like a borderline and would just repeat it..

Where in from if you hit a pedestrian with your car you are automatically in the wrong and could face jail time. If you are driving a car you have the responsibility to make sure you don’t hit anyone or anything. The one behind the wheel is automatically at fault

They were told by the Police to move there is a high speed chase occurring and they chose to stop and film instead.... That was never factored into his judgement....

I was driving 55mph on a highway at the speed limit. A dear came across the road suddenly and I couldn’t do much about it.
But driving at 25mph you have plenty of time to see and notice people on the sidewalks and see if someone is walking across the street or about to. There’s no way she was paying attention to the road or was only driving 25mph. She even said she’s driven on this road for 25 years or something so one roads you know you may not pay much attention to as you do with roads you don’t know well.
Anyways, I don’t believe her. However, that guy should have used the crosswalk, but that woman wasn’t watching the road it wouldn’t have mattered or if she was driving too fast.
The only way a vehicle hitting me is on the sidewalk or on the pedestrian crossing. I am an adult that should know to ensure that the driver acknowledge you before you step infront on the vehicle

Guy coming from the beach, regardless of what he was clad in (choices), should have taken pedestrian crossing and not run into traffic. He was lucky he didn't get hit by the first car.
I don't agree with verdict. The pedestrian should have been held responsible for his actions. His medical of $5000 should have been enough.

Hi from the UK 🇬🇧 the man was covering his privates even if he wasn't he should of stopped at the Zebra crossing. when taking my driving lessons I was taught to always be aware of a young child stepping out in front you.
This is a joke. Your telling me there was no one that could lend a towel, he just walked to the beach with nothing on but swimming trunks and not a shirt or an extra pair of shorts. There was no store to get something to cover up that was on the same street?! There was other ways around this and he is definitely at fault if he ran into her car. Especially if the light was green and there are other cars on the neighboring side of the street.
The key factor is that the she was reaching a cross walk and could clearly see the next lane stopping coming upto the crosswalk because it’s only 10ft away, this means the ready car must assume there is people crossing the cross walk and she only gave herself 10ft away to react to the cross walk whilst speeding……. This means cross walk or not he was getting smashed into.
This show is so scripted, most of these actors give it away with every show.
