"It's a crucial part of the plot that you can just skip" but I hate that kind of thing. If it didn't go away or the game didn't let me progress until I saw it then that would be better than switching to cut scene mode. Also I just realized I've never actually played the game that lets you skip stuff like that, but I know I hate missing important stuff. It ends up making me spend 4 hours in a single BioShock level, a game that's supposed to take like 15 hours to play through. I don't wanna miss it or accidentally sequence break. But on the other hand I probably don't want it to take control away from me either. They COULD have audio from a companion that tells you it's important, like somebody talking to me while I can still walk around that says "hey you need to see this." And I never understood the point of cutting switching to letter box, though I guess it's helpful to know when there's a cut scene versus when you can get out of the way and not die.
Play them on dolphin emulator you can use pc controls which just feel right, you can change ur fov and it has some graphic optimisations.

Can I just say I appreciate that you praised the Prime series as a whole? There is a surprising amount of tension amongst fans between their preferred Prime game in the Trilogy. I think they are all great, and I'm glad you give them all recognition.
I can thank Prime 1 for making me the Metroid fan I am today.
It's my pleasure dude. Prime 3 sparked the flame for me in the prime series, including hunters, and 1 and 2 carried the torch. each game has it's own set of pros and cons and all in all combine to make such a magical experience even if you have your preferences on which ones were best.

I personally really enjoyed the new one, but I will say that it specifically filled a niche that I found only one other game acheived...and that was more than 4 player local multiplayer. I would say if you just want to play Strikers locally with more than 4 people, this is the game to get. If you are looking for online, it sounds like it is not that great. I think it's personally a little better than the Wii Strikers game to play (that one just felt a bit odd with how you do the "ultimate/stirkers" killshots, since you could do so many of them). But I get the complaints!

To this day have Phendrana Drifts as my phone ringtone. That whole soundtrack actually got me through a lot of my trainwreck marriage. The game, I hold close to my heart man. All jokes aside, this game probably saved my life. Thanks man.
How is this video so low in views and likes. This is a god damn masterpiece. The cyberpunk video was a 10/10 but you outdid yourself and make your first Manley Classic. This is what content should be, really feeling the passion ❤️.

Not even 30 seconds in and this is already hitting my feels, grew up watching my parents play Metroid Prime, Twilight Princess and a little later on gems like Bioshock and Infamous. I remember taking my dad's iPod to school for the first time, looking through his 100's of artists on there and randomly choosing the band that I thought had the coolest name, which turned out to be Rage Against the Machine. What a time to be born. Love your stuff and I hope you continue sharing your passions with all of us!
One of my core video game memories was entering into phendrana drifts for the first time. Blew me away.
It's crazy how well that game still stands up today.
I remember coming home from work and playing this late at night back in 2002. It was the first Metroid game that I played and it was most certainly an experience. They made platforming work in first person. That wasn't common at the time. The menu music is one of my favorite tunes. This and OoT are two video game milestones.

Just played Super Metroid for the first time and loved it, immediately replayed it which is quite rare for me. Looking forward to Prime, heard nintendo is sitting on the trilogy release for switch. With gyro aim I imagine it will be pretty cool.

@@ManleyReviews Yeah im looking into emulators for Fusion and Zero Mission and heard of AM2R so lookin forward to them. So much to get into, Psychonauts 2 is out on wed so after that im diving back into Metroid (Axiom Verge looks good too).

Some of my oldest memories are of watching my sister play this game. Recently, she set up primehack on my computer, and I played through and loved the first 2. The motion controls of prime 3 mapped so terribly onto a mouse and keyboard that I could not enjoy it.
playing the prime trilogy on wii mote is much more natural for me than mouse and keyboard
I play prime trilogy so IDK if you can enable this setting on OG prime 3, but I play on advanced sensitivity with camera snap enabled. it makes lock on work like gamecube lock on, and is much easier to aim. feels pretty good to.

the production and effort in this video is nuts. i started playing through the metroid series this year. prime was my first game, and it was such an amazing game. and while i havent played prime 2 and 3 yet, im excited to see the future of the series with metroid dread and prime 4. great video

I think prime 2 is one of the best although it is the hardest! The atmosphere of that game was so well done and it’s just so engaging I love it.

I used to watch my friend play metroid prime on his gamecube. I didn't have to play it myself to really liked the alien atmosphere, scary creatures and scifi music. Also the main menu kinda freaked me out.

One of, if not the best game on that console. I remember it so vividly especially when I was like 14 lmao.
Why does that game get overlooked when talking about the best games from that generation? It was the only game I ever played that utilized the motion controls properly on the Wii and it elevated the gaming experience. It’s my favorite 2000s Nintendo game.
Metroid Prime was the first game I ever completed. It's atmosphere always stood out for me. From not understanding a single word that I was reading (due to being an 8 year old non native english speaker) and just simply blasting my way through to actually taking the time to read every log or computer entry and understanding whatever happened to the people living in Tallon IV is one of the greatest things i've ever done in gaming. The Prime trilogy will always be in my top 10 games of all time

this game came out one month before i was born. this was also the first video game i'd ever played on the gamecube when i turned 2 years old. granted, i sucked and couldn't properly play it until i was 5 years old. crazy to think this game and i both will be 21 this year years old this year

My mom got me Metroid fusion and a brand new gba advance sp for Christmas! She though it’s was an educational science game…🤣🤦🏽♂️Gotta love foreign parents. I love coming across Metroid fans as well! I was still in the Army when this game came out and the reason why I purchased a GameCube. I think I was the only person in the barracks with one till they saw this game. Seeing Samus' eyes reflect back onto the glass blew my mind. Damn I miss that when games were fun.
