- John Aka "Jigsaw" meets up with insurance CEO William Easton to discuss a form of cancer treatment. William Easton threatens John that the insurance company will drop him if he decides to pursue this treatment. This video was very eye opening, in which does a DR really want to see you cured or is he paid by drug companies to keep you just well enough to function? Anyways Saw 6 was a great film unlike 5 or 4. I DON'T OWN ANY OF THE RIGHTS TO THIS MOVIE IT WAS MADE FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY!
"don't talk to me about money, I have money. it's about principal" LEGEND !!
Karam malefic pardon my stupidity but if he has money why did he need coverage? Aside the fact that it's principal
tdevil101 I think it was to see if he cares enough about him to try and save his life. He failed that test so now he has to face the real tests.
He isn’t really there for coverage he there to test William that is this guy really deserves to play his game and yes he did

I CANNOT be the only one that laughs at the part where John gets all philosophical and shit and then suddenly says "piranhaaaa..." LMAO
And then John smiles at the piranhas lol
that shit John talks is very much reality and that laugh comes in a deep grudge and hate so hopefully grinning at piranhas and dark passive aggressive humor does not touch many peoples mind. However I remember not so long ago it was a constant state of mind for me also. Advise to it is to live by choises and build strong life, do not ask for help if you dont realise piranhas are all over this world... and not to be scared of piranhas that are out there for sure. prepare for them.
the piranhas aggression and eating habits is the low blow when he said piranhaaa. it means that the insurance scam preys on the weak of people . just like piranhas
"The man has his hand on the door knob half the time I'm there"

It means they want to get you in and out asap so they can get their blood money, they don't give a damn about anybody it's :

He's right about treatment years ago,it was so different,in my grandparents time, you only had to pay the doctor if he or she made you better-you stay sick-they get no money,it was an incentive for them to try their very best rather than nowadays if the patient lives or dies, they don't give one damn, the next patient is always around the corner, the illness business is always busy, that's what it is,just business.

I can just imagine how everyday life with Jigsaw would go.
"Sorry John, we ran out of chicken fingers. Would you like to order something else or get your money back?"
John: "I won't be paying, but you will."
Three days later:
"Hello Ronald. I want to play a game. Three days ago you denied me three chicken fingers. You offered me another choice of equivalent value. Well now I'm ready to order. Except the finger are yours. On the table in front of you is a device of my own creation. You'll find it is quite adept at removing fingers. If you do not allow it to remove three of your fingers before the time runs out, the guillotine will drop, decapitating you. Live or die. The choice is yours."
lmao
LOL! That was actually very well written. The dialogue is perfection!
are you Jigsaw irl?
A new scenario because I'm bored.
*Jigsaw is walking around in a grocery store when he slips in a puddle of water.
"Sorry sir, I forgot to clean that up. Are you alright?"
John: "You won't be cleaning that up. You'll be cleaning up your act, or else."
Three days later:
"Hello Gerald. I want to play a game. Three days ago, you failed to keep up in your daily duties at work, allowing someone else to be injured due to your own incompetence. Now, it's time to pay the price. Your body has been covered in powdered cesium. Harmless on it's own, explosive in contact with water. Unfortunately, our janitor has performed a similar level of maintenance as your own"
*Reveals water puddles on floor, water leaking from pipes
"You have sixty seconds to reach the door at the other end of the hallway. After that, the room will flood with water, leaving a new mess for you to clean up. Or should I say, 'of you'. Live or die, Gerald. Make your choice.
dude this is awesone, wish they made more movies cause one of your ideas would have made the movies pop.
This is an accurate representation of just how cruel and borderline criminal the American healthcare system is. The fact it's being portrayed by a Canadian actor is the icing on the cake.

Can we all sit here and appreciate the fact that Saw X was made based on a throwaway line from this film about the Cancer Doctor?
He is talking about the treatment in Saw X!!!
Actially no that treatment was by the Father of the cecilia. She just stole her fathers plan and started scam scheme.
I was so disappointed that John wasn't inspired to build a piranha trap after this.
I agree, since that insurance company are like pirahnas
I think Piraha's aren't super violent, they do attack people, but not often,so maybe john thought it was unreliable
@@grandinquisitor8335 you just need to starve the piranha's and spill some blood, so John would be wrong.
@@grandinquisitor8335 piranha are essentially scavengers. The team together to eat the dead carcasses or the injured that fall into the water along with the fish that swim with them. While they ignore most healthy large animals, I think what makes them so comparable to these private companies is their proclivity to swarm into a frenzy at the smell of fresh blood. They target prey with open wounds- prey that are already hurt or sick. They take everything they can bite, and they leave nothing behind save for bones.
How would he even get piranhas?
Piranha are predators, known for viciously preying on unsuspecting animals, and sometimes even on each other when food supply is low and he sees that as a fitting metaphor for William's insurance company.
In the movie he wasn’t talking about socialism idiot. The insurance companies are the piranha.
RagingCookie127
I hadn’t thought of that. I thought his reference to the piranha was to the fact of purchasing and keeping piranha to be ludicrously expensive. Thus this William Easton is misusing his money in vain things instead of helping people who can’t help themselves.
Andrew John
You have no right to call anyone an idiot.
Well, if you think about it, it doesn't only apply to insurance companies only, but also to debt and tax collectors.
John really knows how to make some one feel uncomfortable
hell yes!
I'm a blood cancer survivor. I understood this kind of phenomenon beforehand but having survived cancer and having had to go through a literal 3 ring cancer fight with my cancer for the most basic of treatment and care, I can attest to the pure agony and frustration John goes through. I'm going to be real, I hate that it took cancer to make me truly appreciate the story behind these movies (I loved them before but after the cancer diagnosis? A WHOLE new type of love and appreciation for the storyline of these movies), but even though John and my cancer were two different types of cancer, I can completely relate to the HELL that is dealing with insurance companies.

Obviously Tobin Bell is at a great height as an actor here but Peter Outerbridge (the insurance executive) is doing a great job too. Comes off as a "trying to be sympathetic yet has to be firm about his company's policy" really well.
I think the attempts at sympathy makes it worse, considering he's still going to refuse coverage for John. Saying it's policy doesn't make it any better.
EmptyMan000 Fake sympathy is never really sympathy.

That doctor in Norway was Cecilia's father
Looking back on this scene especially with the 10th movie about to release (two days as of posting this comment) I find it amazing that William wasn't really lying that this treatment really would not work. In fact, it's a downright scam. Make no mistake, William did get what was coming to him, but at least with this new context and information in this upcoming film, it sheds a light on why John chose the path he did for William. I think John really did want William to live in the end, and to learn from what he went through, but it was ultimately placed on the hands of someone who was directly hurt by Will's actions, and their ability to forgive and choose mercy.
No the treatment in norway was different. it was done by the womans father not her
Williams was right the whole time 😅
Tobin Bell balances the line between a man with legitimate grievances and a complete psychopath so well that many saw fans are able to sympathize with a maniacal murderer. The character of John Kramer is absolutely perfectly crafted and is a great example of how simple problems within modern culture can lead a man to become this way
This was a great scene in an amazing series... As I've said before, so many people don't look beyond the violence and gore. It's a deeply philosophical series. (especially John's personal philosophy and his reasons for his work.)
that is actually the main reason I watch these movies. I don't like gore, but I get through them to watch John's story of how and why he does the things that he does in these films.

I'm sorry but please tell me what was he basically implying when he said that
what did he mean by that statement?
He's saying the dead won't care about him and he'll prob go to hell
actually since he knew he would die he probably meant he was saying he will hold judgement over his soul (in form of a game) thus saw 6
Best part is, the dead did have a part claiming his soul in the end, since the family didnt forgive him.
Love how they’re turning this detail into the premise for saw 10.

This is the truth of modern medicine.
You shouldn't have to die for how old you are or how bad your diagnosis is.
You should be able to have the treatment then pay for it
It's not about getting treatment and paying, it's about making medicine affordable and accessible to EVERYONE. Because the system we have right now, the only decision we have have is one where we choose between either one of the following:
A: Don't get necessary treatment and possibly die.
Or
B: Get treatment and go bankrupt.
This shouldn't be the choice we have to make.
@@rosealicia1782 But you get to live. Bankruptcy is a social issue, but you get to wake up and see another day. I think it's a fair trade.
My buddy's mom was diagnosed with leukemia three months ago. She spent nearly a month in the hospital receiving bone marrow biopsies and transplants, blood transfusions, chemo, and radiation. She had daily checkups and vitals tests to gauge her progress. When she got out of the hospital, her bill was over $500,000. Her insurance covered a lot of it, but she'll be working her side of the bill off for many years. The American healthcare system really is like this. The amount of times I see people having to make GoFundMe pages to get potentially lifesaving medical treatment because either they cannot afford insurance or their insurance company will not pay for something is embarrassing. Imagine, having to beg for money in order to get the chance to live. And people really think this is the land of opportunity.
Exactly! The US spends the most on health care any other country in the world (4 trillion dollars a year and rising). People are going to bankrupt because they can’t afford to pay for their hospital bills/Medicare. We have a broken healthcare system!
and it is. there are hardly any more countries that accept unbelievably diverse people groups, that take in tens of thousands of people each year, that are available for people to farm on and make a living on, that people can really build their life from the ground up, that rags to riches really can happen, a country that supports so many ethnicities, languages, jobs, ideas, and other nations. sure the healthcare system is screwed, but that’s because nobody wants to change it. if we all fight for change, we can certainly achieve it.

William was not tested for not covering John, but because he did not cover many people who could actually have been cured.
I love the last line. That was the whole point of his game. The living (Tara and Brett) have the judgment over Will's life, but the point is that the dead (the people who died in his tests) will be avenged. @@Dellen-Rogerlisten again to what John is saying, 30-40% success rate, THEN the drug is administered. To me, this can be interpreted that the suicide gene therapy is enough to suffice on fighting off the cancer cells by itself 30-40% of the time for candidates. But by adding/combining with the drug it then amplifies the success rate to what we hear about in Saw X.
Ah my favorite scene in this movie. John makes a lot of sense, which is why I love this movie; not for the gore but for the story.

I feel so bad for john, I may sound wrong here but I'm on his side
You aren't wrong at all. These movies, at their very core, are not about blood shed. They are about the human nature, about how ass-backwards a lot of us are. John was one of those people, and through his own intervention, he saw how to cure others of their hubris: by forcing them to face their demons head on. Tobin Bell himself has said in interviews that he does not see John as good or bad, but as a human being. John only wishes to show others the light, and that they can rid themselves of their toxic behaviors and mindsets. He wants people to appreciate life, and not take it for granted.

Jigsaw for president.... man if you understand these few scenes in these movies you really understand the political and economic challenges the world faces in modern time. Everything John said is 100% true and correct. It is exactly what we face. Americans choose to let insurance companies call all the shots and put profit first over health. It is a much more efficient system for people's health to "pay for what they want" ex: pure tax based system like U.K. Canada etc. sure there are negative quarks to their systems but not nearly as negative as the evil profit driven health system we have. In recent years we saw a tiny bit of government healthcare with the "Obama" care. But it is like building a bridge and stopping half way. We either need to transition to a full United States health system for any and all citizens funded by taxes or we need to do nothing. A bridge half way only makes certain people be allowed to jump the remaining distance. Obama earned a lot of respect in my opinion for even being able to get congress to move a bit. Trump... doesn't look like he is going to do anything for healthcare not anything in the right direction.
Now Trump is trying to dismantle the whole healthcare law by supporting a tax bill which includes a provision to defund the ACA.
Undriel Grenger well said my friend. 3 more years and hopefully he doesn’t make it again.
That's if...during that time he hasn't convinced his congress to make him a dictator (with all the congressmen serving life terms), filled our courts with crooked judges willing to twist and shapes the laws to Trump's own agenda, rig up any and all future elections, and totally spearheaded a movement to eliminate some of our bill of rights in the Constitution.
If so...then, 3 years or not...there would be a very real chance Trump will remain our president for life.

The Saw franchise is a lot smarter and deeper than people give it credit for. At least the good movies.
People really overlook the Saw franchise as just another gory horror movie but there is so much social and psychological commentary in them.
I could never get behind John Kramer being the “good guy getting people to appreciate life” point of view or the belief that he never killed anyone but I was entirely on his side during this situation and probably the only time I could see doing what he did to go after truly corrupt people.
Wait till you see the new film :P

He is a vey admirable character
We should all start a club, with t-shirts and shit. Just kidding but seriously. This man is god damn amazing.

Planning
The execution of the single word, “piranha” was perfect. The sudden audio cut and the focus shot. Brilliant!
Trying to imitate John Kramer's voice is a oddly effective way to practice my vocals.
This one and third installment were my favorites. This one especially, on one hand, Will shows us all the insensitivity behind insurance companies (he probably got used to it after years and years of doing it), he made me really hate him, but then on the other hand when he got to the game, I couldn't help but cheer for him. Probably the one contestant I wanted to win the most out of all Saw movies. He acted truly heroically, without whining and felt real sadness for all the deaths. He also had an elderly secretary, not a blonde trophy bimbo like most CEO types, he loved his girlfriend and treated her well, he tried to save as many people as he could and was willing to go through pain without a second tought to save as many as he could. In the end his fate was to be decided by someone else just like he did to many people. I wanted him to live based on how graceful he behaved during the game.
Nothing really is ever black and white.
Turns out John should have listened to William
However, William did not act morally.

My friend has brain cancer, and he is only 40. Has had 2 surgeries for it in the last 6 months.
His only fear in his life was cancer as it took his mother. He always said when he talked about it in the 20+ years I've known him, he doesn't want to die that way.
I have to call him soon to see how its "going". He got news that spurred him to get 2nd opinions in far away places....
Its hard to even type this and not cry because i love my friend.
John's right about how they treat doctors now a days they should be taking care of us when we need them and we should help and support them when we don't need them. I personally think Will is a greedy capatilist who just wants to follow in hyprocritical politicians footsteps.
I love the subtle acting here. Easton gives John some sympathetic looks, but once John can tell he's not getting what he wants, he turns away, having concluded that Easton doesn't care in the slightest.
Reminds of me trying to ask for a raise but, the company has excuses not to give me one. With their formula stating its not in the budget.
So in Saw X we are going to find out that the William, the Healthcare executive, was right? The procedure John wanted was not effective? Seems William’s fate was a bit harsh then
She isn't the doctor that John was talking about and to be fair, they didn't even do the procedure (at least I dont think they did, but well see in the movie)
@@shroom736 Yeah. We’ll see what exactly happens in the new movie. My understanding is the doctor is also Norwegian like the doctor mentioned in Saw VI and has the same last name. So that makes me think they are related and the procedure John has, or was supposed to have in Saw X, was set up by the same doctor mentioned in Saw VI. But again, I am not sure. We’ll see what exactly happens.
@timc1604 when I first heard John was going to another country to pursue treatment it made me instantly think of this scene so whatever happens in SAW X its gonna be my personal head cannon that it's the treatment he was talking about even though it's in Mexico and not Norway
@@shroom736she's actually the daughter of the doctor
William's fate wasn't harsh. He still let Harold die by denying him coverage for his heart disease.
He deserved his test regardless. He was a greedy corporate a-hole.
My mom died from breast cancer and i hate the insurance companies and the Drug companies, they profit of people, with cancer, withholding treatments with high sucess rate.. I'm gonna go back to school soon and when I do I will find the cure, mom I'm sorry I couldn't save u, I love u mom, this isn't a joke either, watching this only fuels my want to cure every illness out there
And when you find the cure…. It’ll magically disappear like a fart in the wind, and you’ll be found dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound
Hope that goes well, I'm sorry for your loss.
So am i the only one that came here right after saw X?? 😌
When someone says sorry after a statement like that it usually means they themselves know their policy is wrong and that their customers death is inevitable in the end. So their sorry really means "sorry for your eventual death and that our policy doesn't meet your needs but that's how our company does business."
"you think its the living that has ultimate judgement over you, because the dead has no claim over your soul but you may be mistaken"
-John Kramer
cant get that quote out of my head
Think this is gonna be a Saw X flashback.
Yes, they must use that footage
This clip is a Saw X spoiler cmon man
This guy just laid out the insurance corporate bureaucracy in a nutshell, but the issue is this scene leaves out the government involvement with the insurance corpos, that's it.
What john said here about the far east is absolutely true. They pay a mandatory yearly health insurance fee which covers everything when a patient is admitted to the hospital which means in essence you only pay the doctors when your healthy like he said. And the care they receive is much more intense and all the hospital food and meals are all catered by high end restaurants.
Tobin Bell is chilling as jigsaw. perfect casting.
Now we all now who the doctor in Norway is
30 to 40% success rate are not good odds, John. No wonder the insurance company didn't want to gamble on it.
They only choose candidates who have a strong chance to live so that they can keep the money of the denied.
When he says Piranha is just Funny. "We got our asses backwards here." True words. The way he controls the room scary & comforting at the same time. Tobin Bell should've won oscar for his performance as Jigsaw. He nailed this role liks Heath nailed Joker. RDJ nailed Iron man. Hugh naild Wolverine.
