Anyone who Snatches 200+ in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shirt is a legend.
anyone who snatched 200 is a legend
ESPECIALLY if it's the world record in the weight class he used to compete in, and if it's a pause snatch
Klokov didn’t choose weightlifting. Weightlifting chose him. From that documentary on him and lu.
3:33
his perfect form to deep squat...my idol to do the same deep, hard to do but the effect is great
He injured himself trying to break his dad's weightlifting record. That's actually pretty heartwarming.
That was 2006
@@gustavbarkvall600 *2006
How can you talk about klokov and not show his 200kg pause hanging snatch
Also havn't seen his 225 push press, which is really legendary
@@patrickkamerer7814 Saw it yesterday it is legit jaw dropping
Or his 165kg strict press.

this format is cool, i feel like i'm chilling with my homies hanging out chattin about weights. super chill but engaging dude. good work man
Yep
I feel that Akkaev gets undeservingly less recognition, than Klokov. Not in this video, but in general.
Look up Dmitry Klokov training and competition 2005-2015. That video is 22 min long but is organized. BS is the first couple minutes, Snatches follow BS, CJ follow snatches, random klokov stuff follows CJ. The snatch and CJ section would make for a good review video
good vid man, Klokov is very underrated as an athlete just because he hasn't won Olympic Gold, which he was more than capable of winning even after he officially retired, natty or not doesn't even matter, absolute beast of a man
no weightlifter is natty lol
Klokov did the strictest military presses I have ever seen.
People still talking about his 200 kg hang pause snatch as his most impressive lift. Not for me. In my opinion, his strict pressing ability is more impressive. His strict overhead pressing power is just ridiculous.
This is Klokov's most impressive lift! czcams.com/video/Fy9X1YEsNwU/video.html
I love Klokov. Thank you, Seb, for sharing some great info about one of my heroes.
Cool to see my Klokov video featured. Also loving the Killswitch at the start
I believe he does slightly staggered he said before "because one leg is slightly different length"
Klokov's an all-around savage! I always wanted to see how much he could snatch-grip stiff-legged military-stance block pull, among other wild variations.
This Klokov compilation (czcams.com/video/OepRR_02q3g/video.html) features his heaviest filmed back squat (280kg), OHP for reps (I think; there's many to choose from), and second-heaviest filmed jerk (250kg). Also, there is a 200kg hang snatch (yes, hang) right here: czcams.com/video/NgjuVuAxc30/video.html
Klokov's heaviest filmed front squat is 265kg: czcams.com/video/4ZiYs8DRnEY/video.html
Klokov's heaviest power to push press and jerk complex is 190, two different occasions: czcams.com/video/agZhwWlDWOU/video.html and czcams.com/video/m_KV3BbeyI4/video.html
Love the Klokov video. I have watched most everything he has posted. No question, the man is immensely strong.
More of what you consider the best lifts. Will happily watch.
Please do more of these!
Cheers Seb. Weightlifting has changed my life. 🙏
Klokov just finished the CrossFit open and didn’t do too shabby. You should do a commentary on his 21.4 clean and jerk complex lift.
Pumping out some quality stuff seb!!! Every dinner time is enjoyable!!
Convinced he’s made of steel. The variations he does are nothing short of mind boggling
First time to see this man, truly an amazing specimen and athlete. I used to compete years ago in this sport and since that time, so many changes have taken place.
The 205kg Klokov Complex is the craziest one. He gets off a push press which was a little unexpected.
More Klokov and best ofs please!
Klokovs Tabata workout is insane.
keep em coming with Klokov
I am loving these regular uploads. ❤️ Can you do some reviews of Naim suleymanoglu's lifts?
Good idea.
Have you done an Akkaev one? Would love to see him. Briefly met him at the London Olympics in the weightlifting hall...while he was "injured" (though I think for him might have been true as at the time he underwent or was due to undergo spinal surgery)
I'm not a huge Klokov fanboy, but if we are talking about pure strength, then I don't think many weightlifters post 1972 could beat him.
His 200kg pause hang snatch is the biggest lift for me.
присоединюсь
You have to do Andrei Rybakou AKA the man who could snatch 90% of his clean & jerk... Akkaev would be great too after the tease in this video; I feel like he was always in Klokov's shadow (popularity-wise) despite having beaten him at the Olympics and being the more talented of the two.
Which athlete do you want to see next?
More Klokov reactions on Patreon
Evgeny Chigishev
Zlaten Vanev
I repeat; Grizzly
Little known fact, Chigishev has the 6th highest snatch by sinclair ever
Missed kokov’s 200 paused snatch demonstration
For me the most impressive lift is still the 100kg one handed snatch
Love this.. more please
I went to one of his seminars and he said he jerked 260 a couple days before 265 and got injured because he hadn't recovered from the last heavy jerk session. It was pretty early in his career so I wonder if that's part of the reason why he snatch was always more relatively impressive than his CJ.
Some major lift missing from here Seb. Would be nice to have all of them in a single video. Regardless Thank you … watching DK lifting never gets old.
Great video. I just subscribed.
I've been thinking about doing weight lifting instead of powerlifting. I think the training looks more... "fun." Lol
Powerlifting is boring as hell. You should defenitely do weightlifting.
Great weightlifting physiques: Klokov, Kolotov, Rigert, Ivanchenko.
Legend has it he's still in the bottom of that 7:13 260kg back squat.
Can there be too much Klokov? I submit that there cannot!
seconded!
HIs push press at 225 and his pause hang snatch (with straps) in the Worlds's training hall are lacking, and they are imo, his two craziest feats of strength with his 204 deficit snatch and aside from his Oly Weightlifting PR's
“probably do some weird klokov stuff with it” 😂😂😂😂
Watching Klokov lift is like weightlifting porn. It's so satisfying and gets you in the mood to lift😅
Yes do more like this
new viewer, i'd say new to the elite scene of weightlifting aswell. i like your voiceovers and content overall. my question: what are your numbers?
loved it!
One of my favorites is Klokov's "Complex for good snatch". czcams.com/video/u6_0rbC6LG4/video.html. This was back in 2013 when he was taking lighthearted jabs at Crossfit. The guy was just hydraulic. No one but he or maybe Lasha would do this complex with 105 kg.
Was there every a video of his 180 strict press? only seen his 16x
Was watching your videos, and thought you looked familiar, then saw your instagram, your dad was my teacher!
I have always enjoyed watching Klokovs lifting He's a good looking guy with a great body and he really seems to enjoy it.
Speaking of Kolecki: a video on him would be cool.
I'd like to see Paul Andersons' best lifts.
Thank You.
What the book you were referencing?
Toma.
Also where can we watch the Euro WL Championships? There are a lot of fake sources floating around.
The 200kg pause snatch? Where is it? T.T
Please, please, please do some reactions to past competitions. They’re often very entertaining even when you know the result and/or know the footage off by heart. Especially when they’re not PG rated. LOL
Sorry for being really dumb but why was he and ak pulled ? 0:59
Damn the algorithm!
Can you do a video of wonkiest/dirtiest lifts of all time?
More klokov! And Tao
YESSSS
Could someone show me a clip of the place they call the “Soviet Dungeon” and why is it called that? I’ve heard people through that around.
That name cracks me up. Lol.
After this his pharmacist cured a cancer.
Wait was this re-uploaded ? I feel like i have a dejavu
Reuploaded as Clarence's recent video stole all the weightlifting traffic
You missed his 170 paused hang snatch
Akkayev is so obsurdly strong in the jerk that he basically just push presses everything
When did he strict press 180kg?
while his deadlift variations aren't impressive, his overhead strength is other-worldly.
Can you do a video on guys with the most proficient jerks? I always thought that Mark huster had one of the all-time greatest jerks i have ever seen, botev also was phenominal
And my favourite, Kolecki!
How about Okulov? A modern-day great.
The USA should try to hire Klokov as their National Olympic Weightlifting head coach.
they have pyrros dimas den dont need him :)
Why you reaploud this video?
Clarence's video stole all of the weightlifting traffic yesterday so the algorithm gods did not respond well :')
@@WeightliftingHouse looking forward to watching your video response to his last video man
I don't think anyone wants to speak ill of Klokov, but it really puts it into perspective how much he lifted in comp vs how much he lifted in training as far as how "good" he was. Looking back, when I first got into WL in the early 2010s, he was one of the few consistently posting training on social media and introducing us all to Russian stuff, but in a lot of ways I find him less impressive now, as guys like Bedzhanyan and Martirosyan have outlifted him *in competition* under stricter testing no less, but he was just the first to be really putting out content and showing himself off to the world, and showing off the overweight untested training lifts we've all gotten used to seeing now. Now that the years have gone by and the wow and flash is gone, it doesn't impress me as much as a decade ago. :(
Maybe it's just getting old, and the drug aspect definitely being more apparent than a decade ago, too.
True. He was good but not an all time best. He's a bit overrated actually (if you look at his career achievements, he did not win that much).
@@09thespecialone I think it’s that he was good for so long. All the other guys he competed against and even lost to were always getting popped or hurt.
It says a lot to be over 6’ or taller and have your body be able to maintain the level of performance it does.
I think If martirosyan can last 30 and medal he’ll knock klokov off for me.
You need to react or if you already watched, analize the "unbelievable bulgarian" training when appears, along with others, zlatan vanev
That video is one of the most intense training videos ever
You should do Vasily polovnikov next!
Didn’t he have unofficially the highest muscle snatch at some point?
@@soldierside365 Yeah 155 kg if Im not misstaken

Its funny how all have suspicions of juicing in these athletes , yet Clarence is clean, but as strong as them, and even stronger @!!!
Clarence has admitted to not being natty on his second last video. Nobody, not even his most loyal fanboys, can keep believing he is natural.
WAIT, YOU'RE FROM BIRMINGHAM
I thought his best strict press was 165kg?
Please do a reaction video to Szymon Kolecki best lifts from this compilation czcams.com/video/wFhQmGfuZpY/video.html
Any thoughts on what was uploaded by Clarence Kennedy yesterday?
Working on a response now
@@WeightliftingHouse I don't necessarily have an opinion myself. A friend of mine was a very good weightlifter at 100kg bodyweight and he made very similar allegations.
Just interested to hear your thoughts too.
Your videos are great btw.
Didn't klokov hit 205.5 snatch in training its on his Instagram
