I think it's about time this project was revisited, just swap out the wheels of a bike with the same size of saw blades and you will have a bike that will never lose traction.

I was a missionary once, one time a guy locked us in his gated patio to lecture us about how we were government spies or something. I always preferred it when people would just just threaten us with their bike saw from the start.

If you had the pedals driving a flywheel and then the flywheel geared to the blade at a 1:1 ratio (since the blade can't be made thicker near the cutting edge depending on how deep you want to be able to cut), you could use a multi-ratio bicycle gearset to slowly bring a heavy flywheel up to speed, then you keep pedaling to try to maintain energy in the flywheel while its stored energy serves as a ballast to handle the high-torque bursts required to cut tiny chunks out of the wood with the saw blade.

replace the rear wheel with a bunch of big saw blades that are the size of the original wheel. like 3-5 maybe
for added rigidity connect the saw blades with a bunch of bolts and washers between the blades so they aren't touching and bending
if nothing else it certainly gives you a lot of grip^^

@2:59 I'm LDS and did one of those "mission" things. I was young and dumb before I volunteered for 2 years to help people that wanted to be a better person. It helped me grow up and taught me how not to be selfish. I also learned Spanish! But funny clip haha

Yes Two gears, a Drive Gear (the one you peddle) and the driven gear (the one spun by the chain) the bicycle is a single speed.

HE DID.
Just not a bicycle with multiple drive and driven gears that you can shift between, like a 21speed.
THE BICYCLE IS A SINGLE SPEED WITH TWO GEARS.
It wouldn't have mattered if he had used a 21 speed with 10Gears (3 in the front and 7 in the back in "cassettes") because you do not start a saw with the blade contacting wood so there is no reason to slowly accelerate RPM through smaller Gear ratios, the only real thing that would make a difference in the power of this saw is if the diameter of the drive gear is increased, which would then make it harder to peddle.
If the cables on the bicycle are confusing you. THOSE ARE BRAKE LINES.

Ooh I know these guys who were working on their own business idea. It was a push mower that had a chainsaw instead of mower blades. a special attachment to have the chain cut across a wide enough area and they'd use it for cutting small trees at the base. It worked pretty damn well!! I hope they still tryna make it happen :)

If you change the vest ratios, to increase the rpm of the blade, you can put a lot more effort into the pedals and make it actually spin super fast

You gotta make it with a teeter mechanism under the pedals and have an arm/resting base attached to the forks.
Now you can sit on it like a normal bike and pedal harder.( just stay leaning forward) You just need to put something under the saw blade, start pedaling then lean back and bam, you have a functioning "power" saw
