I came here for pros and cons. You're title is "weights vs balance beads" but the only difference is "we prefer weights." Why do you do answer? Don't be afraid to list the cons.
I can’t think of a single reason why inserting a load of ceramic/metal beads into an out of balance wheel would actually balance it. Sounds like a load of old .baloney to me
I had 40s balanced with golf balls. It would start to shimmy and then you'd feel them find their place. Sometimes cruising id change speed quickly and you'd feel it have to adapt. But they were old used tires on a 45 year old truck and I could run 70 with no hands on the wheel
All the videos I've watched about this talk about centrifugal force. Just to be accurate centrifugal force is not a force but a feeling. The actual force is centripetal.
I know its been said but goodness...I would hate to be on record as SD Wheel basically advertising "we can fix your death wobble w/ our perfectly balanced tires". Death wobble has almost nothing, would probably say absolutely nothing to do with out of balance tires. That's a whole other animal in itself.
Say a motorcycle wheel has the ball weights. If you have a wheel off the ground (wheelie) does the wheel still free spin at the same rate as the adhesive balanced wheel?
I used beads on my front motorcycle tire. It’s a sport touring bike. Seems to shimmy at high speeds the with new tire and beads. Going to change to weights to see if it helps.
Thanks for the video. How loud are beads in a 37x12.5 tire? Are they noticeable at low speeds? I’d hate to be in stop and go traffic w my windows down and hear beads rolling around.
Make sure to check out

The video example was "death wobble" which typically isn't caused by improperly or out of balance tires.

Come on! Your lead up is totally ridiculous. Nobody drives around when their tires are out of balance like in your video.

Opinions, but not real explanations
seems like I am the only one here that feels that his voice is too exaggerated …. a bit much... distracting. Thanks for the video though
Could you imagine balance beads rolling around on the freeway after an accident or tire failure…. 😳

i use to think balance beads were good until i had to remove them from 4 tires for being dust because😅 the lady was complaining about a vibration
Very informative. Thanks for posting.

Would beads be a better option for a dually diesel 4x4 with 285/75-16 on steel wheels...rather than stick on or crimp weights ?
Awesome video thanks soo much
How much ounces per tire pound is needed? And does wheel weight counts as well? Thanks

I had both and it's a crap
