Some people believe that I "hoard" animals or that I keep pets for the sake of views or that my animals are better off with someone else or somewhere else. Well here goes a box of Moustached parakeet chicks at 6 weeks old with crop stasis. Are they better off in the cold in a box left to die? You do the math.
I'm not a bird person , however I feel that this bird needs all the help that he needs the fact to see him in such makes me cry and you are a wonderful and admiring person to actually take care of him and not neglect him when he is in need of treatment and love and passion.
I love how you care so much about animals.

You're actually one of the first inspirations I've found for becoming a wildlife rehabilitator in the future. I love seeing all the animals that pass through your care and how much time and effort you put into it. Not sure how anyone could accuse you of hoarding animals unless they're just people who have never had more than two pets at once or don't realize that these animals are not toys, they're work. Plus it's really heartening to see that despite how much of your day must go into these tasks, you still get manicures and have lovely hair. Not so much relevant to the rest of this comment but I think it's cool that you keep your personal style while you work in this field!
You are a wonderful young lady and I admire the love and care you dedicate to these animals.
It's a very good thing of you to put something like this up on youtube. Most people just buy pets left and right for fun thinking “Why not ? I love animals " When in reality they have no idea of the responsibility and effort you have to deal with.

Hey Nikki - Just watching one of your videos about hate mail... Sorry to hear you get that response... People can be really unkind, especially with the mask of the internet, and I am sure it is terrible. As the owner of many pets myself, including 15 Ball Pythons, 1 Borneo, 1 corn, box turtle, Russian tortoise, bearded dragon, blue tongue skink, 4 dogs, and a cat... I know what it like to be treated like you are crazy. I guarantee that my animals are well kept, happy, and get to the vet when they are ill! They are super spoiled and I love each and every one of them.
You obviously love your animals and take great care of them. I am always amazed at the amount of information you have on such a wide variety of animals... My expertise is with my reptiles and I am constantly learning more! Keep the videos coming!

My mother and I get told all the time we "hoard" animals. Mostly birds but all of the animals we have we saved them because people only want them till its no longer "fun" I think what you are doing is amazing! Keep up the great work & continue to share videos! - Sakura

the amount of work and money it must be to look after all these animal must be massive, I am the same age as you and I know I could never look after this many animals, fantastic job keep it up :) I'm very excited to be getting a bearded dragon once I graduate :)
I'm really impressed with how well cared for your pets seem. Maybe you have answered this before, i have only seen a few of your vids, but how is it that someone so young knows so much about all those diff animals? You should be a zoologist or something like that when you "grow up"! :)

I'm so glad to see this type of video. It was interesting, but I'm the same way with my animals. If I can do anything to help them I will.. Rather than taking them to a vet who will do the same thing

I hope the little guy recovered! When my Pet Goose was acting odd as a Gosling i thought she had sour crop and researched all kinds of treatments. She ended up recovering and didn't have sour crop, but i was so scared! Now she is a healthy 1 year old spoiled Pet Goose who is too funny and now has her own CZcams channel... Time flies💖

My baby cockatiel had indigestion. His crop was filled with food and yet he was cold and inactive. As soon as i felt him cold i rushed to the Vet. I hope he gets better, he is at the animal hospital rn. :(
I have to say you seem so responsible with all of your animals! It is really obvious how much you care for them. I just have to ask what profession do you work. Do you work with animals cause you seem to have a large idea of how to work with them. I am new here so spare me !

I hope he is better now! I really am jealous of you! Haha, my family and I use to have a white belly caique but we ended up giving her away to a better owner because our household wasn't really quite suited for her. By the way, you are really such a caring person towards these beautiful animals!:)

I actually found a wood fledgling pigeon that had a similar problem. The thing, I was alone and didn't know what to do. So I called the vet for consultation, at first I allowed him to rest 24 hours and it was still weak at that point. Tummy was big and fat and it seems like the food is slowly suffocating him. :'( I tried feeding it tiny drops of organic honey water to help the baby bird digest like the vet advised to do. It was so painful to watch it die in the end.
If I have stumbled on your video earlier, this might just be the solution. Thanks for recording this.
:( Why didn't you just let the vet take care of him? But atleast you tried. I have a bad memory I can't forget, when I was a really young kid, and found a baby bird that fell out his nest, and was dying. I'd like animals and thought I could help, but didn't know anything about animal care. I didn't understand things like this as yet, and tried to feed him (not to mention food he couldn't have digested at that age) and He choked, which made his suffering worst. Never fogot. My uncle through hi over a fence, and I was angry because I felt that my uncle was responsible for his death. If I'd new better I'd put him out of the long process of misery a long time ago.

Love that your so passionate about your birds! Please be careful while massaging not to push upwards, as it can cause aspiration/instant death -I find a “crop bra” works wonders! Keep up the good work :)

I just lost a parrotlet little under a week ago. The vet said that he had food in his crop which was causing him trouble breathing and couldn’t allow him to swallow water. Don’t know how true it was but on a forum when I asked what could be the problem, someone mentioned did the vet clean out the crop. And unfortunately I don’t know. And the person answered when it was too late. So I am now researching this as much as I can to get more of an understanding.
