  • Feeding a baby parrot is the easiest thing in the world. No! The hardest!
No! How can it be THAT hard?
Well, you have to get the mixture correct, the temperature and then you have to get the baby to eat it!
In this video we'll talk about how to measure how much to feed your baby - because this too should be simple and obvious, but until you develop an eye for how much food is in their crop, you won't know.
See an "empty" crop at the beginning of the day, a semi-full crop and a full crop in the video and learn what each feels like so that you have hopefully a good idea as to what to look for when feeding your baby parrot.
Of course, be sure to practice and research - and learn from someone who knows already- so that you are successful in feeding your baby to keep him/her healthy and well fed.

Very informative. What temperature is your food? That’s a lovely baby. And like a typical baby, it’s sleepy time after a feeding.😮💕

Wow! This video is very informative. Just a quick question, is it normal for baby african lovebirds to still have a little food/formula in their crop in between feedings? It doesn't bulge that much but I can feel just a very little amount of food in his/her crop in between every feeding.

Yes. During the day no baby parrot should cry from hunger/an empty crop. It is only overnight that their crop should get fully empty. This is why they need to be fed every 2 to 3 hours - there are charts for how often they should be fed, although I don't always agree with them. I feed any time a baby's crop is getting mid-way empty. Helps development, health too. :)

Yes, I will have a Green-cheek, but I don't ship. Where are located? Unless you want to travel to Florida, shipping is an issue

How do you feed with a spoon? As opposed to a syringe
