That notchback one is my favorite mustang out of any year and it sounds phenomenal. Nice garage setup you have also. Kind of like my dream garage but I need a few more bays.

I think it would be so awesome to take a road trip down and buy a Sweet Fox off you after seeing it on CZcams being fixed and worked on. That would be sweet I know these are expensive cars they're not beat down run of the mill foxes and there worth w.e you would ask in my opinion. I've wanted to have one of these Mustang 5.0 lx notch cars since the late 1980's, when I was in high school. Maybe someday when I finally get out of debt, I'll be able to buy one! The grey colored one you featured on your video is beautiful brother!

I have that exact same car. Color and all.
I wouldn't drive that 93 teal Cobra either....I would probably get up 3 times a night to check on her! ;-) Heck, I barely drive my 82 RS, which is no where close as valuable as your Cobra. Love your fleet of foxbodys & great video. I could look at those rides all day. I bet it's hard keeping up on maintaining all of them - heck, I struggle to do that with just one toy!

Not a Mustang guy but I've always loved the understated look of the LX 5.0 notch back from this era. Hate the exhaust though.
Sometimes, that idle can be fixed by doing a base idle reset if it's getting nutty.

Yea, I've done the base idle reset and adjusted the TPS as well. I will probably end up trying it again. I checked the IAC and it is good. I'm going to check the throttle cable as well. But it still runs and sounds good. Appreciate the info. Thanks for watching.
Have you checked for vaccum leaks? That's typically the culprit of surging/poor idle on a lot of stock 5.0 HOs that I've seen.
I'm painting my 90 notch light titanium. It's truly unique. Mine is a complete rest with a built blown motor. Btw, the original 90 came with black molding, I'm assuming you change this

Thanks, I bought the car with the Ford Racing GT40x crate motor in it. They usually come with E or B cams. But i plan on pulling out the motor to freshen it up, so i will find out for sure what it is and let everyone know. I appreciate u watching the videos and supporting the channel.

Beautiful sounding engine, I just have one question, I thought most LX engines were 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engines ? There’s also 5.0 options for the LX? I thought the only difference from the GT and LX was the engine size, weight and of course that Luxury trim (LX) thank you sir

Idle screw on throttle body to lower idle without lowering your timing...

The factory is 10 degrees but my cousin’s car loves 30 lol
Factory 10 degrees is intial timing. 30 degrees timing would be total timing. Stock ecm adds around 17 degrees so 30‐17=13 degrees intial.

What tire size you running on front and rear ..I have the same color but a 92
255 front, 275 rear.
If the rpm is on 1k it shouldn’t be the timing there’s a screw in the throttle body I have the same problem

Recently pick up a 1989 notch back lx and looking for tire size recommendations it has a 5.0L with a 5 speed ?

@@adambeavers4933 Yes, they will fit, but you may need to take the small shock off. It's the small shock that runs kind of horizontal. And maybe turn your big shock as well.

O ya, i like that lx Notch and thos OG Ponys sounds good , you have flows on there ?, my car has cam and heads she likes about 14 degrees trimming 15 to 16 she starts to ping a little under hard acceleration, when i have to smog it has to be set at 10 but my idle dont change much you might need to adjust the TP Sensor, id keep the cobra parked allot to 👍🇺🇸🔧🔴🚘
