I'm used to watching your metal detecting videos but now a pressure washer build... I do pressure washing full-time so I can relate to this video also. Welcome to the cleaning industry and I wish you the best.
So cool! It will be ready to run in the spring. My next video will be building my softwash mixer. It's going to be cool. My email is mowerdog@gmail.com Please contact me because I need someone that I can answer any questions in the future. Thanks for watching my channels!
Here is my new channel on the PW build. czcams.com/channels/XNBrBX1dhzss-HGu7poMvA.html
Nice build! I use great white Teflon pipe thread sealer(brush on stuff by pvc glue in plumbing dept) on the motor shaft on my pressure washers and it keeps the pumps from rusting on the motor shafts also lubricates the key/shaft mating surfaces. Also awesome for all plumbing fittings. Great idea with the foam seal as well! I’ve noticed sometimes the reason the pumps stick are the shaft keys being vibrated and grooving into the keyways on both sides creating a lock.
Good info. I figured if it lasts 2 years I would just build another one.
Great build. Appreciate the work!
Thanks for watching!
New subscriber. Love your content. Might suggest adding a rubber mat under the mounting plate. Saw a video yesterday where hold down flange had broken due to vibration. Mud flap trimmed to fit will provide more shock absorbusion to prevent down time in the future. Stay safe my friends & keep hustling in 2021 👍💵
I may have seen the same video? The one where his bolts were breaking?
Great video and content . Thanks for sharing . Very informative.
Thanks Jay!
Nice video, looking to build one over the winter and then a second one in the summer once business volume picks up.Siamesed together would be a game changer for the BIG jobs I'm bidding over the winter. Look forward to seeing more of your videos, got a new subscriber :)
Thanks for subbing! 2 of these machines together would be a beast.
Could you Siamese anything over 10gpm??
@@xitsAndrew3388 yeah with the proper diameter hose and feed lines
Great job! Thanks for the Video!
You're welcome
What I've learned from you so far take everything apart when you first buy it and put it back together
Great informative video. Thanks!
Thank you!
This is a brilliant video and the content very professional and logical, I was hoping for the next video on a demonstration of how the pump fared, and did you check installing both the unloaders? was there any considerable volume change? Please upload the video as I couldn't find any sequel to this one.
There are a couple of vids that show and talk about the pump. So far, so good, though.
thumbs up-im going to use same motor etc and using a 275gallon water tote kinda like you have there shown. can we see rest of build video-how you hooked up the tank etc please and ty
Built the exact same build in August of 20'. I am dual feeding my pump on both sides. The hardest thing to do is figure out exactly how much GPM I am putting out. I am getting over 9GPM, but not certain as I need to return to it in the Spring as well (it's hard to find tips). Don't forget to adjust the pressure relief valve with an Allen wrench, otherwise, you will be squirting water out of the valve every time the governor surges.
How's it working?
@@mowerdog I only got to do a double tennis court with it after my build. But that's where I discovered the relief valve needs a turn or so to stop the water from pulsating out. After that, it cleaned like a beast!! I didn't have tips for a surface cleaner that size, so I used a gun for everything, but it still cleaned fantastic and in record time. It's putting out between 9-10 gallons. Its runs around 3800-3900 RPMs. With the gear reduction and the T2221 GP pump, it should be getting about 8.5 GPM, but it's noticeably more (maybe that's at 3600 RPMs). I need to do a bucket test for actual flow and then order tips. I only have just 20 hrs on it. I will drain and continue to use synthetic oil for the motor. I will however add a different fuel pump, perhaps a Honda 670 fuel pump. I will add a better fuel filter and fuel shutoff. I typically run non-ethanol in my power washers. I think I will take your suggestion of a bigger unloader valve with 1/2" whip to reel and the same back into the tank.
Pressure washing and metal detecting!! Nice
Thanks
Any instructions on how to build it? I would like to do the something plus a parts list…
Nice DIY. Cant wait to find out what PSI it can push.
3000lbs
Will this pump pull water from a buffer tank? Or do I need to build a belt drive?
Belt or gear has the same pulling power. The only difference is weather you want belts or gears? Both run around a 2.2 to 1 speed reduction. It's only the direct drive pumps that might have an issue.
Nice video. Do you have a new one showing that machine working? Thanks
They are here. czcams.com/channels/XNBrBX1dhzss-HGu7poMvA.html
Did you test that you got 10gpm and what psi are we talking about?
ALSO I FORGOT TO ASK ABOUT THE GEAR BOXS MAKE & MODEL# THANKS!!!
I'm not where I can look at it but I show that in the video.
HEY PARTNER ... WHATS THE NAME OF THAT RED RUBBER MAT YOU USED AND WHATS THE NAME OF THAT UNLOADER VALVE MAKE AND MODEL THANKS

Do you know any other alternative to the silicone mat ? As they are out of stock on amazon they only carry 1/8 thick
I do not. Keep looking
Have you had good luck with this setup? I have the same motor, great drive, and the next size down pump and I’m having some major issues. Fist job I used it on it ran for about an hour until it shut off and the gearbox got so hot it puked all the oil out of the vented cap. Now it’ll run for a few mins and shut off, but I believe it’s a fuel issue. I’m just more concerned with the heat issues and curious if you’ve had the same?
Yes. Working great after two years. Make sure you have a good working vented cap on your fuel tank and gearbox.
Loosen the cap on your fuel tank to see if your vent in making your engine stop.
Yeah. You are looking at GPM. So the pump pressure is where you need it. You want more power at the nozzle. Also remember, your tips are restricted. The only reason to have the wider bore would be for a commercial floor cleaner. It will have more nozzles. For the tips on the wand, you will blow holes in weak surfaces. The other side of it is friction loss. I suggest metering the input and output of various lengths and elevation on the hoses. Make sure you have enough residual pressure. Meaning double or trip the usage at the pump.
At 2800 psi I get 10.5 gpm
@@mowerdog that’s crazy high
awesome build. can you leave a link to where you got the parts
Call or email Russ Johnson - www.pressurewasherky.us/
I'm on the fence whether or not my hemi predator 212 pressure washer could strip my clearcoat on muh Jeep. I'm pretty sure this sweet build would.
I doubt it.
So how did the SH rank hold up? The drain Oring did it leak?
No leaks. It's working fine.
Whats the plate you used on the bottom to sit the engine and pump
ALUMINUM SKID POWER WASHER FRAME call Russ Johnson at www.pressurewasherky.us/
Hey o would really like to know how many hours you have on it now and how it’s held up after 2 years I am fixing to build one so I really need some input from someone that has one
My China hour meter worked up to about fifty hours then quit. Just buy the extended warranty and trade your motor in every two years for a new one.
Awesome
Thanks
Ok I have been thru but all I’d like is a parts list of the whole setup . Mainly the pump, gear box , unloaded please and ty
Call Russ Johnson at Southside Equipment.
Thanks helpful
Great!
@mowerdog what is the pressure rating of the pump?
7:45 the torque spec for those flange bolts is 14.8 ftlbs
Thanks
Nice set up ! My question i have a Gx 620 engine / propane . Do you think i can use this engine ?
As long as your crankshaft will accept a pulley or gearbox the fuel wouldn't matter.
@@mowerdog thanks ! Can you sent me link where u bought the pressure pump and reduction gear.
@@georgelagman7535 Best to call on the phone and ask for Russ. www.pressurewasherky.us/
@@mowerdog Thanks!
How is that pressure washer you've built working out I'm about to build the same thing where can I get the gearbox and the fuel tank
Would also like to know how it’s going
It's still working strong
Were did you buy the GP pump from??? Best deal?
Southside equipment in Kentucky. Ask for Russ Johnson.
I hope you bought the extended warranty. I went through two of them last year they both only got 200 hours on them. First thing I would do is change your fuel pump to a Honda fuel pump and your spark plugs and make sure you get a new fuel filter. Both of mine went out and had to change both those then after that I lost spark so good luck with them. But if you were running a small machine you’re 100% going to love running 10gpm I wouldn’t go back.
I did 2 house about a year ago just to see if I wanted to jump into the biz. I charged 400 and 450 to do just the siding. One house was only 1200 sf and the other 1600. The problem was it took me several hours to do the job. I was using a 2.1 GPM machine and the injector was sticking about every 4th time I let off the trigger! I've spent a year planning and building this trailer. I did not buy the engine warranty but I should have. I will have a new fuel pump and plugs on hand when needed. But if I'm doing any business and the motor blows I'll be buying a name brand engine.
@@mowerdog I still run The predator on mine but mine is belt driven. Once you start having that 10 GPM you will love it for next year and good job on your prices I’m glad you’re charging appropriately. Good luck next year
So you don't recommend the predator ?
@@PatroneBambino no I do not. I went through 2 of them 1 lasted 140 hr and the replacement only 10hr. I now run a Honda and it has 400hr without any problems
@@libertypowerwash9904 I wanna build me one did you build your?
Hey @mowerdog... I found an AR water pump online that pushes 10.5 gpm @ 7200psi. I wanted to set it up where I can run w/ x2 guns @ 5.1gpm and 3600 psi when split... The issue I have is when its not running x2 guns at one time its still a bit strong for some jobs at 10.2gpm-7200psi. I was thinking running a bridge from the split to the water tank and just discharging the other 5.1gpm @ 3600psi directly in tank. I do need the 10.2 and 7200psi for large surface cleaners.... Can this be done?
Not sure really?? Maybe run a high pressure 3 way valve to 2 unloaders set at different PSI?
Im still very elementary with my build IQ lol. I was just curious of it can be done vs having to buy 3 machines that 1 pump and machine can do with different components..... Ill have to study up more, may I confer with you in the future ?
@@mowerdog Prob be easier if i just run a duel shaft motor to 2 pumps @ 5.5gpm and with each pump have full independent components, then slide a clutch on 1 shaft to dis engage shaft when not need x2 guns, then I use a 2 to 1 line "Y" quick connect to utilize both @11gpm out of the 2 lines to 1 gun or surface cleaner if needed. This would be much easier for what im trying to accomplish I was approaching the issue backwards lol. Like I stated i'm a rookie at this stuff from a building perspective. Its just we get calls from everything from residential easy soft washes to 5 story parking garages, so getting that xtra push for the dirty jobs and being able to roll back gpm for residential would be an asset.
As far as I know. You would need a 44 horsepower engine to run that pump
Hi I'm interested in doing the predator build how has it worked for you so far your video was excellent 👍 and very informative thanks for the information
It's working out great. Did you watch the video showing it's output?
I couldn't find it
Do you have a link for the base? Thank you. Another great video.
I bought it at Southside equipment in Kentucky. I had to call because it wasn't on the website. You might try envirospec too
@@mowerdog Thank you. I’ll definitely call. I’m surprised it was so cheap. I’m wondering if they have it for belt driven? I’ll do the research. Thank you again.

It's not listed on his site. Contact Russ here - www.pressurewasherky.us/
Where did you purchase the pump?
Southside Equipment. But now I think the better deal is at Envirospec
Man I'm ready to see this bad boy in action.
That makes 2 of us! LOL. Maybe around March 1st. I'll be posting my softwash system build next. Stay tuned because it's cool!
Have you ran it yet?
Why would they be water between the pump and the engine? I don't think that makes any sense unless the pump is ruptured
Rain and overspray can get in there and rust.
Were did you get the 10gpm pump
Southside. Russ Johnson. FYI: I haven't uploaded the vid yet but this setup is putting out 10.5gpm
Hey what’s going on….so I was scanning through the videos..how did this setup work out? Did you ever get going with the business? I was really hoping for some follow up videos
I do have follow-up videos. Works great

Where did you buy the skid plate
Call and talk to Russ. www.pressurewasherky.us/
what is the name of the piece to join the pump to the motor
It's called a gear reduction box
I am subscribed to your channel I just need to ask you a couple questions why did you go with a 10 gallon a minute pump and not a 8 and 1/2 gallon a minute pump 3600 PSI does the 10 gallon a minute clean better at 3000 psi or what do you think because I am building the same thing right now I'm trying to get in touch with Russ to get the gearbox please give me some help and guidance as far as just picking the right pump everything else I'm good
1st off the GPM is more important in cleaning and rinsing than PSI. Most big guys run pumps 2500 to 3000PSI. 2nd is the output of the pump is directly related to the engines HP to get a pump to run at it's stated rating. I would need about 30HP to get 3000PSI/10GPM out of the pump. If I bought a 3600PSI/8GPM pump with my 22HO engine I would likely get 3200PSI/6 to 7GPM output. So for my for me to get 2500/8GPM with a 22HP engine I had to buy a larger pump.
Okay I'm actually building the same setup as you so I'm going to buy the same pump you got the tsf 2221 and I just need to get that gearbox should I try to get that from Russ
Can u email me?
I know that GPM is more important however I was just wondering about the PSI at 3000 PSI 10 gallon per minute is okay I've been using for gallon a minute 4000 PSI and we all know you can clean concrete with that but it takes a very long time if you're trying to get stuff done quickly but efficiently as well
@@leonardspressurecleaninglp9089 It's better to call Russ and tell him your using the Predator and he will set you up.

How did the 670 run? Was it problematic?

Can i put a pump like that on a gx 200 or gx 160 can you try this in a video please
The pump is too big for those engines. Sorry.
@@mowerdog how much can i buy one like that
Please give me a link
@@bidyemsonisaac5658 You need to contact Russ from this link. I think the pump was around 775 and the gear reduction was around 275. www.pressurewasherky.us/contact-us/
To be honest I should be using a 25 to 30 HP engine to get the full potential out of the pump. The pump is rated at around 10 GPM but with a 22HP I should get 8 to 9 GPM.
Don’t think it matters which unloader, The injector orifice is much smaller than the unloader.
That's true. But I have an injector bypass and that's where the larger unloader shines.
I've learned the hard way not to use brake parts cleaner for general cleaning. I worry about it eating rubber gaskets, O-rings, or seals.
I don't know if it's true about the rubber stuff, but I got some on fiberglass and it turned the hard acrylic type coated fiberglass into a putty lol!
If you soak it in the cleaner it will. It sure does melt some plastics. The original brakleen was even hotter.
how much psi is this washer .
3000
I think you’ll be surprised how durable those HF engines are with proper maintenance
I will be happy with 2 years. Thanks for your comment!
That can be said about most things lol
@@Bigshoots86 I'm putting Amsoil in everything. Just like my vehicles.
Are you selling it?
No. Going to use it.
How much was the pump
Around 725
How does the engine run is it hard to start
Your unloader was right and you are just spending money your hose real is more restricted then your old unloader.
He probably even uses silicone grease to cook hahaha
Lol. Maybe.....
Why not build em and sell em brand 10gpm machine 4500+
I really don't want to manufacture the pressure washers. I would rather show others how to do it.
I’ll pay 2500 all day 10 gallons per minute would you build me one
For the 💰, why didn't you go belt drive?
I went with gear drive because it has a smaller footprint and didn't cost anymore than a belt drive kit. Plus it's easier to assemble. They both pull and pump the same.
@@mowerdog thanks for the replying, I'm looking at building one as well so I was wandering the pros and cons
@@diesel2504 Belt drives could be in pain in the ass Sometimes you have to get the right tensions on the belt and the belts or not that cheap Also takes a little while the tear everything apart to put a new belt on On the gear drives just change the oil Regularly

More reason to save money building your equipment. It leaves more money for marketing.
Exactly. I can also buy more Beer.
