  • The Fate of The Advanced Omega Class Destroyers from B5's Between the Darkness and the Light (episode 19, season 4). Please note this is all the relevant CGI extracted in order from the episode.
    I recently started re-watching (yet again) my Babylon 5 DVD box set collection. Figured I'd do a favour to all my subscribers that did so because of the B5 content I uploaded in the past.
    Although it's entertainment, we can also consider it educational for anyone studying CGI of the mid 90's.

Over a thousand years ago, they did thanks to Valen's half-human side as former Commander Jeffrey Sinclair starting the trend of those Minbari souls traveling whole or in part to human populations. We all know the Minbari's belief that no Minbari shall kill another Minbari convinced them to cease their genocidal campaign.
      However, if the sight of those Shadow augmented Earth Destroyers appeared during the Earth-Minbari war, then it may convince the Minbari in the know to reconsider their policy of "No Minbari shall ever harm a Minbari". They (given how fanatical they were) could rationalize it as these humans are no longer Minbari since they sided and are tainted with the coming Darkness/the Shadows, their ancient enemy.

    If they can remake Battlestar galactica, this needs to be remade. It's already been remastered so remake the series or if not a film based on a particular event in the series. Old but still good with a good dialogue and actors, and still good cgi , loved it when it came out love it today.

      @@chadwickerman That argument i can't argue with if it's good already leave it alone , but just imagine a reboot with the modern CGI and the series with new injections of imagination of the story's of the series. The resent version of Battle star Galactica compared to the version from the 1970's " giving away my age " just left school 78 , is much more darker and a lot more engaging with a greater emphasis on the characters and the story, where as version one was more of a daily seria "but still good" . Know imagine Babylon five with the same application as battle star Galactica, and you have good stories already that can be retold in a different way and others expanded on and other stories improved on !. that too me as you stated means reboot, too me as long as the people behind it follow the series and don't stray too fare from the original idears of Babylon 5 story and give it the respect it deserves and good actors to tell the story it should work and be as good as the original if not better, but it's all down to if they can get the right people first, then it will work. I say reboot the series because it deserves it because of the quality of the story's of the series.

      @Volkbrecht Před rokem

      The only place where Babylon 5 really looks old is the quarters inside the station. The style of furnishing is sooo badly 1990s, also the old CRT monitors in the walls, those looked out of place even when the series was new. But in the places where it counts the CGI was actually pretty good, and to this day the series is one of the very few where they got zero gravity space battles correct.
      The way I see it there is not all that much to win by remaking it, but a lot of good reputation on the line that might be lost. Maybe wait another 20 or so years before digging it up again.
