One of my favorite Ryu players known as XWAX Solid against Brolylegs an extremely talented player
who plays the game a special way but makes it look so easy. So huge and massive thanks to Brolylegs for making this set happen. This will be a very tough battle fort both players so lets see who comes out on top!

Thank you guys for watching and praising my play with Chun. I put in the work to reach high level play and I can gladly say xWAx Solid brought everything out of me. He is the real beast in this set, but I won't quit just yet to reach the top.
And thank you for showing us such awesome gameplay ! The effort clearly paid off and it's always nice to see two pros going at it without abusing certain moves or whatever other bullcrap most people resort to online to get an easy win.

Hey Broly, thank you for the matches. They were awesome and inspiring. I'm a Chun-li player myself and I'm trying to get to level of high-level play with her. I'm always training and trying to find new things with her, although she can be at an disadvantage sometimes. If it's ok with you, maybe we can get some matches on Xbox Live sometime. It'll help both of us get to that high-level play. Broly, you keep doing vids like these.

I remember an interview with BrolyLegs where he said something along the lines of most Chun players aren't using her to her full potential. After getting to see him play here I understand what he meant; he's using moves I didn't even know she had. 'Twas a treat to see these two duke it out.
Hey Yoga 2 things for these first to 5's maybe you can put up a score chart at the top? Similar to how streams do it. And secondly I use a Hauppauge Colossus capture card on my PC with a splitter and HDMI feed from my xbox, tv, and pc but i have issues capturing an entire match sometimes and have to recapture it several times before I get the full thing. It will show that it is recording but doesn't alert me when it stops. Any suggestions? What do you use? Ok so 3 things
To break it down:
-LP DP is invincible for 2 frames on startup, can do Ultra 1 if you hit them with the tip out of the air early enough.
-MP DP is invincible for 6 frames on startup, can combo into Ultra 1 via FADC. Also due to amount of invincibility it has, it's the go-to for auto-correct on wake-ups.
-HP DP is invincible for 2 frames on startup, however while it does the most damage out of the 3, it cannot be FADC'd as a trade-off.
Each has their own situation and uses. Hope this helps!

this dude is just incredible. if i could pull off even one special move with my face i would feel like that was an accomplishment. but here he is not only actually playing that game but doing so as a high level. he's better than me and i suffer from no handicap at all.

@litoandyboy147 when you push more than one button at a time the output its different based on timing and position...so triple punch output can be jab jab jab, jab jab jab fierce etc....

Well, the correct usage of them is:
LP DP: Use this when you notice early your opponent's jump-in. It deals less damage than the MP or the HP but can be followed up with EX hado or MP DP.
MP DP: If you use it well it's Ryu's best anti-air and juggle. It just takes training to get used to when and how to use it to get the 2 hit, plus as you mentinoned it can be canceled to ultra for even higher damage.
HP DP: Only use this when you're going for damage, but most of the time it's just useless.
Yea, I think I saw him play once, he uses his tongue for directionals, and his working hand does like 3 option-selects... lk+lp = Throw or Low Short/ 3 Kicks = EX Leg or Sweep or EX Bird Kick or U1/ Mp+Mk = Focus or j.mk or Ground target combo

Are you sure? I thought it was 1~5f Invincible, 6~16f lower body invincibility? Correct me if i'm wrong, maybe I've been wrong about the frame data on that. Thanks for the correction if that's true! There's so much frame data to remember that I can't always remember haha. XD
And I'm aware he can FADC after the LP DP, but primarily you would FADC into Ultra 1 after a MP DP most of the time. I rarely see anybody do it with LP. But you are definitely correct about being able to do it with LP DP.

The medium one has more invulnerability frames than others I think, so you can do it later than the light or the fierce without trading. Also, I think it gives better positioning.
I love seeing those inputs on brolys side. He uses the priorty mechanic to compensate for not being abel to hit all the buttons
Is this Chun player from Texas? From his inputs, and if I'm remembering information correctly, he's a disabled individual who can only play with a part of his hand and uses his mouth for a good part of his button presses.

Great matches. I feel Solid might be hurting himself with Ultra 2, and he seemed to be holding on to meter for too long in some rounds.
What do I know though; he's a hell of a better player than I am.

Actually, the mp dp has 5 frames of invincibility and hp dp has 4, the hp was buffed in v.2012. So best anti air option is hp dp for 160 damage unless it trades a lot, in which case mp dp is ur best alternative :)

Because the medium shuryuken has the most invic. frames than all the non-meter shoryukens. Its just safer to that
i think it's because if she backdashes out of her focus attack, ryu risks whiffing his dp because her backdash is so good. if shes up against the corner, it would be worth trying, but if she isn't, i wouldn't try it unless i knew 100% she could not backdash it.

BrolyLegs shows in his play solid Chun-Li basics as a player. The guy only uses limited buttons and moves! He wins by zoning, timing and fundamental defense.

Thats not true, HP DP was changed to 4 frames of invinc in 2012 to allow it to be used as a late anti-air. It's in the changelog

Prob cause you are about to FADC out of it if the person was doing a safe jump? Unlike heavy.....once you whiff it....that's it....you cant FADC or anything so you gonna have to take the full punish?
