    FINALLY! A video with an Ibuki vs. Dufus matchup!!! AARRGGJIZZ MY PANTS!!!
    But seriously, I've been looking for videos with this matchup forever. This match is hard for Ibuki. 6-4 Dufus' favor, I believe? (has to be.)
    Note to others: Just ignore people who complain about characters being brain-dead or cheap. It's their fault for not playing the game right. If they feel like spewing salt on youtube comment pages, let them.

    wow Sako is amazing. Using the Fighting Edge tha he help Hori design with his input, practically plinks every normal he does using the rebindable buttons and binding his LP+MP+HP button into the select button allowing him to plink even light punches. really cool to even just watch his buttons as he plays.

  • @MBurrow08
    @MBurrow08 Před 12 lety

    I have seen many Ibuki players, but Sako is definitely the most interesting one I've come across

  • @zDamascus
    @zDamascus Před 12 lety

    He has rewired his stick and has the Back(or Select on PS3 button) next to his LP button. It's actually not a plink, it's a blink, b stands for back: Back has the lowest input priority in this game so you can blink anything with this button

    I really enjoy that Rufus but those links by Sako are simply amazing.

    @r0bz0rly Před 12 lety

    man, sako has such an insane offensive game with ibuki. it looks like he doesn't like being pressured though, seems to be getting hit by a lot (though i'm only 2:35 in, lol)

    That Ibuki dagger seems really tricky to block at wake-up. I wonder if it would be a good idea to focus it...

    Rufus has the longest win quotes EVER!!

  • @weglarz
    @weglarz Před 11 lety

    Only a few characters in the game can backdash safely out of Ibuki's vortex. Either you will get hit by the kunai (bad backdashes), you'll get hit with a sweep/slide OS(mediocre backdashes), or you run the risk of getting hit with any of her other vortex options, such as j.lk, j.mk, empty jump cr.lk, empty jump throw, etc... it's not as simple as backdashing out. Ibuki's vortex is extremely hard to escape (I used to main her).

  • @bahaanaldo
    @bahaanaldo Před 12 lety

    Ibuki sounds like such a badass when she's hitting. Then she gets hit and sounds like a small child.

    sako's ibuki is art

  • @themangafan0990
    @themangafan0990 Před 12 lety

    a simple backdash on wakeup will not help u escape the kunai trap on wakeup. you would have to know for a fact which side the kunai will land on, and even then ibuki has options to punish the backdash.

  • @AeolusMN
    @AeolusMN Před 12 lety

    He is just this good.

  • @zDamascus
    @zDamascus Před 12 lety

    Ibuki, braindead? I lol'd. People usually say that when they get bodied by scrub Ibukis who jump kunai all the time: a simple backdash will avoid kunais on wakeup. Braindead you said? yes, against somebody who has a poor defense.

  • @2MinuteSoup
    @2MinuteSoup Před 12 lety

    yeah just saw it.. sick as fuck, not really practical for a casual player like me, but seeing sako do shit like this to gain a lil meter is fucking brilliant.. thanks for the link man

    What ever happened to the Daigo replays ?

  • @zDamascus
    @zDamascus Před 12 lety

    Nope, unless your character has a retarded backdash (eg. Fuerte), a backdash will escape for free 80% of ibuki's kunais (she takes too long to recover). Otherwise the actual braindead version is a focus - backdash, which even works if your character has a bad backdash. And FYI, if a kunai can beat a backdash, it means that Ibuki jumped very late, you could've just fwd dash/even just a step fwd to escape it ^^

  • @TankP0wnz
    @TankP0wnz Před 12 lety

    Is this a bad match-up for rufus? or is it just the fact that Sako is so good?

  • @nO_d3N1AL
    @nO_d3N1AL Před 12 lety

    well yes but if you host someone joins fairly quickly. And also it'd be nice to know his Battle Points

  • @chrisakalogic
    @chrisakalogic Před 12 lety

    I knew Ibuki was going to get her ass whooped the last match. she never uses her Ultra when given to her.

  • @zDamascus
    @zDamascus Před 12 lety

    lemme copy/paste another one of my comments: Nope, unless your character has a retarded backdash (eg. Fuerte), a backdash will escape for free 80% of ibuki's kunais (she takes too long to recover). And FYI, if a kunai can beat a backdash, it means that Ibuki jumped very late, you could've just fwd dash/even just a step fwd to escape it ^^ . Anyway, I'm just tired of people bitching about Ibuki without putting any effort in actually learning the matchup :/

  • @stardustdragon10
    @stardustdragon10 Před 12 lety

    lol yea. I tried it out in training mode (can't believe I actually pulled it off cuz I use standard PS3 controller); it's useful, but QCF -> QCB -> plink LK and HP (I use config A) is definitely not worth it on controller.

  • @Un1234l
    @Un1234l Před 12 lety

    I watched a Sako match where he did a kara raida and the input read QCF QCB LK~HP. I tried it and sure enough, it worked. This is the video in question, and copy all of the link so the video plays at the spot mentioned (20:32): watch?list=LLRGQ7ER6o3PY5-nmT3Kl7tg&v=GhjGahJC4ko&feature=player_detailpage#t=1232s

  • @thexanfamily89
    @thexanfamily89 Před 12 lety

    you don't have to do any of the follow ups so Rufus could just do beginning of messiah into nothing and throw that FA, it's a silly mixup that Rufus gets after it low,high, delayed lk folloow up to beat some reversals like Ibuki's ex kazegiri or nothing

    Dude, that Rufus wasn't that good. It just goes to show how an average player can beat one of the worlds best using a brain dead character like Rufus. Sako completely outplayed him but then random EX Messiah into ultra and he wins. There was a point where he spammed like 3 of them back to back, that takes a lot of skill.

  • @yaboyvavy
    @yaboyvavy Před 12 lety

    Ah I see. I can never beat Rufus. A lot of Rufus Players do that Gimmicky dive kick st. short dive kick grab, etc thing when they find a chance to. ):
