@@eric1ga great ☺️
So good to see you speak (the mimics) as it makes the words easier to understand. I am living for over a year now in Portugal and notice that I learned all these sentences on the street. From as today I am going twice a week to the official language school in my city here (Setubal) to start with my A1 level. I am looking so much forward in speaking this beautiful language and having conversations with friends. The problem Portuguese people having is the same as we as Dutch, most speaks perfect English so all my conversations in my sportclubs or dog walking are in English and I love to change that to Portuguese. I will have a 10hours per week so next conversation will be in Portuguese :).
Olá 👋 so glad I could help! I hope your class goes well ☺️ if for some reason it doesn’t and you want to, you can check out my online courses too. They’re here: school.learn-portuguese.org/courses
About the dutch and the portuguese, yes, you’re right! We do tend to switch to English haha, unfortunately for those who want to learn. I witnessed that when I was living in Utrecht as well ☺️
@@MiaEsmerizAcademy Dank je wel and I will check out your course!
Yesterday I had the first lesson of the course and it is given purely in Portuguese. We use the book Passaporte para Portugues for level A1/A2. I noticed that because of all is in the language I feel I am missing out some information although I understand that this is the way to learn. I am looking at your crash course. Would that be beneficial to start the course I am in right now? I have all the time to learn but for me it needs to be practical and logical otherwise I start thinking about these factors :). Hope to hear from you.@@MiaEsmerizAcademy

One of the best ways to teach Portuguese and makes it even equally easy to learn. I Great Teacher having a wonderful channel for new comers, Keep it up :)
Ohh muito obrigada ☺️
I just came back from an 11 day trip to Portugal, this video was fantastic and so helpful to study before going and while I was there. Obrigado!!
Thank you for letting me know! :) I am happy to hear that the video was helpful.
Very well explained and carried out for the person who wants to learn basic Portuguese. Well done you .😀👍
Thank you! ☺️☺️
In Brazil, we usually ask "tudo bem?" instead of "como está?". The formal way to say sorry would be "desculpe-me", and not "desculpe". And saying "queria" (I wanted) to make an order is used, but not grammatically corret, but "gostaria" (I would like), since "quereria" is not used.
fantastic video ... a charming manner, good clear tuition with an upbeat and genuine tone..
Oh muito obrigada! Thank you so much :) Please don't forget to subscribe. Beijinhos!

Obrigado Mia. This helped me very much on my short notice trip to Lisboa 👌
I am happy to hear that it helped you on your trip to Lisboa :) Thanks for letting me know.
Thank you very much for this lesson. I’m going to Portugal in two weeks and this was perfect timing! Although I knew a few of these phrases, you just taught me a lot that I didn’t know. I will be watching this video over and over again to work on the new phrases. In future lessons maybe you could write the phrases out and then say them. Sometimes it’s easier to understand the new words if you can read them and hear how they are pronounced. This also helps to learn how to read in Portuguese. Obrigada.
Kacey Caban olá :) thank you for your feedback. However, I would like to ask you if you turn the captions for Portuguese (Portugal) on? I actually added some subtitles to make it easier to understand. You just have to turn them on and I guess they could help you further. :)
I really am happy that I could help you just in time for your trip. Don’t forget to subscribe for more videos ;)
Have a nice time learning Portuguese and visiting Portugal :)
Kind regards,
Mia
Learn European Portuguese Online Olá Mia! I didn’t know that there was captions, how do you turn them into?
Kacey Caban you have to search for a little button on the right down corner of the video that says CC if you are on your laptop. If you are on a phone, you have to search for three vertical dots on the right upper corner of the screen and press there and choose subtitles. Don’t forget to choose the ones that say Portuguese (Portugal). Those are the correct ones :)
Thank you Mia, I just found the caption button. That is exactly what I was looking for. Now I can read along when you say the phrases! Muito Obrigada!
Kacey Caban great! Enjoy :)
Genuine smile!
Thank you!

Obrigada!
Beijinhos, mia.

Obrigada para seu video.
*pelo seu vídeo 😊 de nada! I’m glad you liked it!
My wife and I are traveling to Lisbon and Porto in a few weeks so this is very helpful. My problem is that I have only Brazilian and no Portuguese friends, so I am familiar with their pronunciations. No eating the vowels, LOL, as you explained in the video with Virginia. I might hear them incorrectly, but my Brazilian friends end "bom" and "sim" with what sounds more like an American English "m" sound, but softened a bit. When I hear you say those words, they sound more like "bone" and "seen" in English, as you don't close your lips tightly as we do in English to finish out the "m" sound. Am I getting that correct? Muito obrigado!
Hey! Yes, I know the struggle! I hope my videos are helping you.

Thank you! 😊
I am learning English i am from Portugal
Well done! ☺️

Não há de quê! is another way to say you are welcome. Inglês is also the language. Estou a estudar inglês- I am learning English.
In European Portuguese that is not such a common way to say it, I guess. Maybe more in Brazilian Portuguese? Or maybe just in some small regions of Portugal. I know "não tem de quê". :) Thank you for your input! Beijinhos, Mia.
Quantas vezes usas palavras tipo " Porventura, inexorável? etc.
@@Theyoutuberpolyglot Verdade :)
When you are going to Portugal ? if you are planning then get the copy of this book. it will help you to talk in Portuguese without learning Portuguese.: “START SPEAKING FOREIGN LANGUAGES: TRAVEL GUIDE FOR CONVERSING IN EUROPEAN LANGUAGES.” this book will definitely help to use European language without learning it.

Hello Mia ..regarding the 35+ Travel phrases, I have clicked twice but nothing in my inbox so far
Sorry to hear that! Can you please send an email to mia@learn-portuguese.org mentioning this and I’ll make sure you’ll receive the travel phrases 🙂
would you use queria rather than gostaria?
It’s more common and considered less formal to use “queria” in Portugal, but you can also use “gostaria” 😊
Muito obrigado 🌹💐🌹

Muito obrigado eu quero traduzir em árabe
If you make it letters on screen better for the learners
It's already an older video, the new videos have things shown on the screen or in the subtitles :)
Which is most polite? queria vs. posso ter um.... vs. eu poderia ter.... vs. eu gostaria de um
Eu gostaria
E queria
I would have liked to see subtitles to this... sorry :(
And a tip: you could have deleted the seconds in between the phrases when you frequently say "uuuuuhm..."
Thank you for the feedback and welcome to the channel :) You can turn on captions (PT) for this video, which will show the phrases on the screen. This video is actually already almost 4 years old and back then, I didn't know very much about editing, hehe. If you check the recent videos on my channel, you'll see that they have both subtitles in Portuguese and English and no dead space between phrases anymore :) I hope you'll have a look around on the channel :)
Obrigadissimo
De nada :) Beijinhos!
Like part of States in Indian language or Malaysian
Not like part of EE
Why does 'm' sound like 'n'(eg. Com liçensa)?
Oi galerinha
This would have been a LOT more useful if you put the words on the screen AND gave what they meant (eg, what was the "strobine" (??) at 1:14?? I went looking for a better video.
