thanks for watching! ya there aren't many, id do a beam shot but my camera sucks. Im going to upgrade to the m61 sho soon, 385 lumens!!! the 265 out of the m61 almost shines as bright as my friends 500 lumen fenix, the beam is much better as well.
I'm new to the Malkoff game, and would love to see a beamshot comparison between drop in modules. How much of a difference would you estimate there is in terms of lumens, beam quality, etc? Thanks
If Malkoff wasn't bright enough, try Solarforce. I got my G2 upgraded with XML T6 single-mode, 500-lumen. If it still not enough, try the 1000-lumen Eagletac drop-ins, it could kill your batteries really fast!
waiting for my Malkoff M61 to come in the mail for my surefire 6Z I could only find the 260 lumen one in Canada. I wanted the 325 lumen but I'm sure I'll be happy with longer run time with the 260 can't find original P60 surefire bulbs any more
i have been running the 265 lumen version of the m61, i get plenty of time out of it, not sure exactly how long though. ive since decided to not upgrade until gene gets more runtime out of the higher lumen drop ins.
The Malkoff M61 drop ins have definitely breathed some new life into some Surefires! I have an M61L in m G2Z and an M61N that currently resides in my Elzetta Bravo. Plus my Elzetta Charlie has a Malkoff M60S. When my new AVS head gets here I'll probably put one of the Malkoffs into my Surefire 6P. Which M61 are you using? I'm pretty spoiled by the M61N and its neutral color. My Elzetta Alpha has very good color but even it can't match the 61N. I'll probably go with N or W when I pick up more M61s.
I have the M61L, the new 325 lumen M61 and the M61SHO, and for the C2 might I suggest that you stick with the M61 (if you haven't purchased one already)? The M61SHO ends up giving you about 30 minutes of runtime on 2 CR123A's, which IMO isn't worth the extra 60 lumens. Personally I prefer the M61L in my C2 - 175 lumens for 5+ hours.
