My thoughts and opinion on the ZT 0301 when compared to an BM 275 Adamas. The ZT is a phenomenal knife, I like the Adamas but cant seem to form a solid opinion on it.

Hi. Really like the way this came out! Very nice! I have an old wave without replaceable cutters but thought i would put the rebar pliers on my wave and make it a -wave plus then! Had a hard time doing it with the washers/spacers! After trying for a bit i sent it in and Leatherman put it together for me-wasn’t sure they would but just got frustrated was all! I really like to see what people have done and you did a really nice job and i would carry this every day also! Really like the land yard piece on this also. I never have put any on any of my knives or tools think i would do this! Or try to! Thank you again and have a good day
Hello, I have a question about the MUT sawblade. Is that the biggest leatherman sawblade period, or the biggest one that fits a Surge? And is the only necesarry modification to fit it, grinding it flat on the bottom?
also need to grind the lock face. as far as i know it is, the st300 saw is the same about length though.

Very cool i use rebar pliers and awl in my wave. Also ebay to buy the charge s30v blade and looking for the black gut hook serrated blade

You may want to consider upgrading to a Swiss Army knife “hiker” model with a firefly fire starter. It has ever tool in your modded knife and then some and probably still weighs less

I thought he was going to convert the nub of the serrated blade into a T shank adapter to swap in files and any other scroll saw options That's too bad

I have always wanted to swap the serrated blade on the wave for a t shank for the metal saw

I think YOU made the mistake. Having a serrated and plain edge blade is a great option for a MT. Cutting that blade off, wow!!! 😵💫😵💫😵💫
cant cut steel with a serrated blade!.....my new leatherman setup has a combo edge but even then i could do without it. ive yet to encounter something that i could cut with a serrated blade that a plain edge couldnt cut. i dont personally see the obsession with them. do they handle some materials better? yes. indispensable? nah.
I disagree with you on Leatherman adding a serrated knife. There's a lot of things a serrated knife can cut that's harder to do with a straight edge knife. I won't buy a multi-tool without both.

I'm sorry but i will never understand why to destroy an wave?! Pliaers? ok, heavyer and we don't use it all the time but when the time come to need a pair of pliars, oh, mega important and that;s the moment you realise that it is bad that you destroy your multitool. Ok, you can make it back the way it was but you don;t have it at that exact task. It is better to have a complete Wave, and a pair of Knipex 10 cm or 12 cm with a victorinox huntsman...
this isnt my only multi tool, its built for a very specific purpose. look on my channel i have a hybrid surge/st300 i put together.
That’s like two pounds worth of tools hanging off ya. Sometimes you don’t want or need all that. I just think that he couldn’t find the exact tool he wanted for a given circumstance so he assembled one… I don’t see that the tool is destroyed either. It can be re-assembled in the future. It’s just stripped down a bit.

You could get the Leatherman T4, but I know how it feel using something that you did by yourself, it's a total different feeling on those tools

thanks, it does perfectly, if you try it out need to make sure the flat side is against the frame other wise the teeth interfere with the pliers.

Thanks! Ive seen some really crazy ones where folks have done plenty of cutting and welding to them! My goal was to keep it looking somewhat factory and easy to replace parts.
The spring broke on mine.
That folder deploys super smooth and has great balance. I wish I had the coin at the time to by more than one especially since its was a limited numbered edition. I also purchased the Spyderco Bob Lum tanto folder; which I edc more often. Thanks for sharing your LFTi video !!!

I have both of these knives. I've had the 301 for years,,,I just got the Adamas. I like the Adamas much more,,,and I'm a ZT freak. 🤪🤪🤪👍

i do, i don't carry it often. if i do its inside the waist band and its ok like that. it weighs as much as a small side arm though haha

Good job. What tools did you use to cut and shape the titanium stock?
a hack saw, small 30 inch belt sander, and a dremel. its just like cutting steel but it actually takes longer and destroys anything it touches. so be prepared to have extra abrasives and blades on hand lol. theres a reason why titanium things are expensive.

forget this Omega spring breaking fear, it is not happening even on hard use. You just have to flush it wit water after use in sandy environment and everything will stay okay.
