The sound is awesome. Epiphone is doing some exciting things with guitars. I have an excellente on its' way to my house. I had to get one. The design and sound is incredible. What a get value.
@@summitguitars1137 If these guitars were made in USA the prices would be through the roof. I think it would be 3K or more. Epiphone is making a statement with the Masterbilt line of solid wood guitars. This will be my third Masterbilt guitar in my collection and the first with ovangkol tone wood in the back and sides.
The finish is thin satin, which I prefer over thick gloss. Action was set pretty low. The neck is super heavy. It sounds really great in my opinion. Happy I purchased one!
Hi I just got Excellente from Sweetwater-- It was delivered yesterday-- I have a question for you on weight-- my guitar weighs 5lbs 11oz it is the heaviest acoustic guitar I have every played-- I am kind of bummed by this. Do you know what yours weighs? I agree with your comment that the neck is heavy.. FYI, I also received a Frontier a few weeks back-- also from Sweetwater. My personal preference is for the Frontier-- it is much lighter, it has much lower action and the neck on the Frontier feels faster and smoother to me.. Tone-wise they are similar though they have different backs/side (ovankol vs Maple). Build on both is great. Appreciate any comments/thoughts you might have on weight... Appreciate your playing :) Thanks..
Hello, I agree with you. The weight is very heavy on mine. I have not hit the scale with it though. I have been using a ToneRite on mine to break it in a little. I’ll report back on weight. I’ll have to check out a frontier. I went with the Excellente as I snagged a rare used one. Despite the weight, it’s a guitar that quite honestly sounds better than most Gibson’s I’ve owned. Thanks for the comment!
I had a 77 d50 guild , heavy as hell, that's why it sounds so good. I have looked everywhere for a heavy guitar that wasn't old and beat, now I have to go try this one.
Hello, I can tell a difference on the Excellente. It has a deeper tone to it to my ears compared to when I first got it. Probably did two 72 hour sessions with the tonerite to notice. I really can’t tell much difference on my guitars that have been already broken in.
@Edwin Estrada theres a nice newer preview of the Frontier and Excellente' up right now sounds great! Maybe I should get my pre order in, only can do 1 right now
@@summitguitars1137 I understand the constraint you face re. a one minute clip, but I found that I wanted to hear a more dynamic range than your gentle picking. A bit of strenuous strumming to bring out it's volume and tone would have been nice. That guitar, I think could take some digging in. That's all I meant.
such a beautiful guitar! I love the sound of it as well as the pearl patterns on the fingerboard!
My god, she sounds fabulous!
Keep pumping these, mate!
Will do!
I’m definitely considering buying one. Thanks for the video
Hope this was helpful!
音色真Nice 😎
Own one best acoustic

That sounds incredible
It really is an amazing guitar for the money!
Sounds Great!! What are your thoughts about the fit & finish and overall playability of it?

Should be to your liking

does it feel like made in...Indonesia?
That baby rings...too bad they are out of stock everywhere..
I got lucky and picked up a used one. Great guitar!
Do a Masterbilt Frontier too please. my music store here in Canada won't get any in till Sept possibly later now
I would sir if I had one. The Excellente seems to be a tough get as well

You’ll love it!
I heard a demo of this guitar which sounded fine until they used the pickup, Then it was god awful! Your thoughts on the pickup?
The pickup is not the greatest, but it sounded pretty good blended with a tube amp. I never use pickups usually though
I am thinking to get this guitar and if I do I will definitely replace a new pick up
how is the action?
I bought it used, but the action was really good!
How do you feel about the guitar’s volume? I got one and it’s definitely quieter than my yamaha
Mine was fairly quiet at first. I have a tonerite that i used on it and it opened up great. Louder than my 2004 j 45
@@summitguitars1137 what do you mean by tonerite please?
Yes what is a tonerite.. and do you think this is better than the inspired by gibson line like the j45 and hummingbird inspired models?
No company makes guitars costing under $800 that are better than this range from Epiphone.
Almost fell asleep.
Guess I didn’t do my job

sounds great, would you mind sharing the chords to your demo piece?
